Epic Records artist Bobby Shmurda was arrested along with members of his GS9 crew in New York’s Quad City Studios early Wednesday morning (December 17), Wondering Sound reports.

Though specific charges were not disclosed, in a phone conversation with Wondering Sound, Katie Cornell—the New York Police Department’s Director Of Public Information—says “these arrests were the result of a long-term investigation” that uncovered “a number of violent incidents as well as narcotics trafficking.” She also says that her office “has a sealed indictment against a number of individuals” that will be revealed early on December 18.

REVOLT reports that the arraignments will take place in the Manhattan Supreme Court.

Representatives from Epic Records were not available for comment as of press time.

This is the third time this year Bobby Shmurda has been arrested. In June, the artist born Ackquille Pollard was arrested for felony gun possession. He was arrested again in October for marijuana possession.

In November, the “Bobby Bitch” rapper’s debut EP,Shmurda She Wrote debuted at #77 selling 5,000 copies.

In a post that went viral this weekend, Lauten attempted to reprimand the Obama girls for their less-than-interested demeanor during President Obama’s turkey pardoning cermony over the holiday. Telling Sasha and Malia to show “a little class” and to “dress like you deserve respect, not a spot at a bar," Lauten’s Facebook open letter was met with – obviously – a wave of criticism.

Beyoncé to release new perfume ‘RISE’ in February

Beyoncé isn’t settling on just having out a new album. The international superstar, who recently set a record by selling 828,773 albums in just three days on iTunes, announced her new perfume, RISE, will be released in February. This will be her third fragrance.

“The spirit of RISE encourages women to be all that we are,” Beyoncé said in a press release. The new fragrance is centered around orchids. It will come in snazzy gold bottle, designed by Ken Hirst. Beyonce collaborated with Loc Dong, a perfumer at (International Flavors & Fragrances) IFF, for the new fragrance.

RISE will be available in three Eau de Parfum sizes — 0.5 oz, 1.0 oz, and 1.7 oz bottles.

Beyoncé has sold $400 million in fragrances with her first two scents: Pulse and Heat.
