I like to think that it's the man, not the machine, but certainly having a nice quality machine helps ;-)

They are a bit scary, but I think it's going to have a lot to do with just recognizing that at some point I'm going to come off it.

And as for too cold to read on transit, mostly because I can't for the life of me read a book wearing gloves, and on the main bus I take they don't turn the lights on when it's dark anyway. Oh, and it's a bother to carry a bag, and the book is too big for my jacket.

Yeah, whiny bitch reasons, but there they are.

Eek - motorcycles = scary. But I do see the appeal.

I'm curious what you mean by "too cold to read on transit"? I always find they pump the heat up too much... I read or knit on the skytrain and bus every day!

Well then I guess Mandarin it is then. Also, I suppose if I learn one it'd be easier to learn the other. Right? Right?

Yeah? Maybe I'll see if there is a course outline or something I can get my hands on to see how I feel about it. I think once I have those two I might go take a sailing class too, since Sailing doesn't have as much of a fuel cost.... :-)
