I was an inquisitive child and did very well at school. My favourite subject was English, that later developed into a passion. I never had a doubt what I wanted to do when I finished school, it had to be linguistics. So I went to university to study English further and later graduated with a degree of English, Russian and German. On my last year I took a part time job as an interpreter and as soon as an opportunity presented itself, I moved to England in 1991.

Life works in a mysterious way and instead of working as a translator here, I ended up being a successful model and a Playboy centerfold, even releasing a Playboy celebrity special video.

Russian dating online. The Ukrainian and Russian “old-fashioned” dating Do’s & Don’ts (Part 2)

2016-05-07T09:13:00.001-07:00

Dear friends,

in Part 1 we talked about the 9 mistakes most Western men make when looking for a Ukrainian or Russian bride online. But now you may be wondering, okay, what next? Here are four “old fashioned” tips that can be applied successfully in Russian and Ukrainian online dating today.

Tip #1: Be your true self

This goes back to being genuine. Present yourself as the same person both online and offline. This doesn’t happen often, and women are often pleasantly surprised to meet a man who portrays himself honestly. This builds trust, which is a necessary foundation for any relationship. So communicate openly about who you are. This will ensure your dates go well and you will feel much more connected with both her and yourself.

Tip #2: Be a gentleman

Not so long ago most men did this automatically. That’s not true today. Women miss that. Men who act as gentlemen and are respectful and respectable, have a huge advantage in the online dating world. So be well mannered and courteous in your behaviors and your words. Women will love you for it.

Tip #3: Be considerate and caring

This goes along with being a gentleman as well. Don’t try to be the “bad guy” and don’t think being a jerk attracts women. It doesn’t. Be thoughtful of the Ukrainian and Russian woman’s feelings, especially when scheduling your interactions and asking her out. If you aren’t thoughtful of her feelings, negativity energy will build up surrounding these situations that will negatively impact your dating life.

Tip #4: Be patient

Lastly, it’s critical that you always remain patient. Don’t ever sacrifice short-term desires for long-term happiness. Going in too quickly will sabotage your changes to turn dating into a meaningful connection with a woman, and that’s what all men really want.

Remember: Ukrainian and Russian dating online is not like sugar! Looking for a Ukrainian or Russian woman, dating her and having a relationship with her can be really really really hard! Life can be tough and you must show a lot of patience before you find a wonderful wife from Ukraine.

Julie Spira, a famed online dating expert, points out in her “The Perils of Cyber-Dating: Confessions of a Hopeful Romantic Looking for Love Online”, “Patience is a virtue and the best things in life are worth waiting for.”

The takeaway is this: be real, be honest, and be a genuinely great guy. Show a Ukrainian and Russian women who you really are and avoid the above mistakes. When you’re true to yourself and you care about her feelings, everything will work itself out in the end.

Happy russian online dating!

Online russian dating. The Ukrainian and Russian “old-fashioned” dating Do’s & Don’ts (Part 1)

2016-05-07T09:12:00.003-07:00

Dear friends,

At these days, everybody’s looking for love. And the internet has stepped in to help fulfill this need. This was great back when online russian dating first started, but now the online world has become extremely crowded. Everyone from scammers to pick up artists and professional pro-daters are setting up profiles, often making your regular guy feel like a failure before he even begins.

To help solve your problems in the International online dating world, here are some useful tips to help Western men meet Ukrainian and Russian women and establish genuine relationships. Because despite the sex craze, we still ultimately yearn for a meaningful connection with a partner. And it is possible, but there are a few things to keep in mind.

Here are some mistakes most men make when using Ukrainian and Russian online dating as well as a few tips you should consider to increase your success online.

Mistake #1: Falsifying yourself in your online dating profile.

I would say that many men are insecure about something. Whether it’s their age, looks, or height. Because of this they often attempt to misrepresent themselves in their profile in order to appear more attractive to women. This can work to initially attract women, but what happens when you actually meet her in person? She’ll instantly know you lied. That means no date for you. Be honest about yourself in your online profile!

Mistake #2: Focusing too much on your career and forgetting your woman from Ukraine or Russia

Many men will treat meeting women online as a side project instead of making it a priority. If you want a genuine relationship, however, it’s important that dating makes the top of your list. Ukrainian and Russian women are attracted to men who give them their full attention. If you don’t put in the effort to fully communicate and build a genuine relationship with women online, they will quickly decide you’re not worth it as a partner.

Mistake #3: Looking only for “model-princess” ladies from Ukraine and Russia

Ah, looks. Are they really all that matters? No, but watching men date online you might think so. Men, particularly online, will tend to analyze women from head to toe. Studying her pictures, trying to determine if she’s good enough. While it is important that there is some physical attraction, looks are only a small part of what makes a relationship work. Much more important aspects are personality, chemistry, and whether you have fun. So stop analyzing pictures and simply get to know the woman for once.

Mistake #4: Sending uninteresting messages

Okay. Unplanned lines might make you feel good about yourself, but before you send her that message online, at least make sure it’s relevant. Many men will simply churn out some cheesy line or deliver a one-size-fits-all message to the girl’s inbox. Many men write to the woman, “Hello, how are you?” or “You look so hot!”. In my view, these messages are really boring, uninteresting and ineffective. I understand you if you want to keep things as simple as possible but in this case.

Instead, check out her profile and see what she likes, then custom-craft a message just for her. She’ll appreciate the effort and it will make you stand out. Be creative and ask a few questions so that you get an informative letter back.

Mistake #5: Waiting too long to ask her for the first meeting in person

Yeah, I know, asking her for the first meeting in person can be scary. But texting or emailing for weeks, months and years before popping the inevitable question just makes you look scared. The woman knows what’s going on. So just ask. If you want to meet your woman in person and build a relationship with her, you should go to Ukraine or Russia to date her there offline!

Mistake #6: Saying only compliments

Agreeing with your woman is a good thing. So are compliments. But if you’re not sincere, it will come across in your communication. This not only makes you look insecure, but it will also make her see you as manipulative and always trying to please her, thus ensuring the relationship fails.

Mistake #7: Dating the wrong woman because “there’s no one else”

Stop. Just stop. Drop the scarcity mindset and realize that there are billions other women in Ukraine and Russia for you to choose from. That’s plenty of opportunity to find a potential mate. Don’t drag things out with the wrong women just because you feel like you can’t find anyone else. Tell her how you really feel, and then move on. It will be better for both of you in the end.

Mistake #8: Making women think you’re dating exclusively when you’re also communicating with other women on the online dating sites

There’s a movie out now called The Other Woman (I love Cameron Diaz). It’s about a guy who has multiple mistresses but makes them all believe he’s dating them exclusively. In the end, his mistresses meet up and plot together to take revenge. That may not happen to you, but as soon as the woman you’re dating finds out you’re being dishonest, she’ll ditch you. Guaranteed.

Mistake #9: Trying too tough and giving off the drive of nervousness & anxiety

There’s an interesting paradox when it comes to Russian and Ukrainian online dating. The more you feel you need a woman, the harder it often is to get one. This is because you’re acting desperate. Instead, be confident in who you are and be cool when interacting with women you’d like to meet. It will pay off in the end.

So those are some of the top mistakes when it comes to meeting Russian and Ukrainian women.

To be continued…

Attractive russian women. Desperate and frustrated: can you still find a Ukrainian woman for life?

Attractive russian women. Desperate and frustrated: can you still find a Ukrainian woman for life?
Or two big reasons why you haven’t found the right attractive Ukrainian or Russian woman for you…

Dear friends,

The idea of finding and dating people from the International online world is definitely exciting. You get to meet attractive Ukrainian and Russian women with different personalities and perhaps you even get into a relationship with one or two of them. However, things do not seem to progress as there usually is a dead end. It gets tiresome over time and you eventually question yourself why this is happening to you. And it really sucks…

If you have been in the dating game for a long time, it is typical for men like you to have doubts about yourself. It is not right to beat yourself up though. As a matter of fact, it is time for you to rethink your approach. Instead of looking at the personalities and characteristics of women and assume that it is their fault why you cannot connect with them, look deeper and you may find the problem lies within you.

Two compelling reasons why you cannot seem to find “the one” for you are your insecurities and being overcautious.

Reason #1: Not Being Insecure

You accept the fact that nobody is perfect and yet you are afraid of attractive Ukrainian and Russian women discovering your imperfections such as:

You are not good-looking enough. Guys, self and body image can be crucial in finding love. Women are not the only ones who are conscious about their appearance; men are too. In fact, they are more sensitive than what the society gives them credit for. You want to look manly, handsome and appealing all at the same time and it is just too much pressure.

You lack self-confidence. This is often the root of insecure feelings. You do not trust your ability to charm someone, your looks and personality, and you have that constant fear that the attractive Ukrainian or Russian bride you date will suddenly start disliking you.

You feel inferior. Perhaps this has something to do with the woman’s job. It almost always hurts a man’s ego that a woman is more successful than them. Having inferiority complex can make you distrust your capabilities to date and eventually enter a relationship.

Once a woman from Ukraine or Russia finds out about your imperfections, you immediately think that you will get rejected. Doubting yourself will lead you to believe that there is something wrong with you and it cannot be cured. Insecure people need constant approval and reassurance and they are always possessive and jealous – often without a good reason to be. If you know that this is you, you should start finding ways to get over your insecurities.

Reason #2: Being Overcautious

One of the symptoms of being overly cautious person does not know how to approach the woman he is interested in just to avoid disappointment, heartbreak, or rejection. From my Internet dating experience, I would say that everyone looking for a attractive Russian or Ukraine bride is always warned about getting scammed. Right?

According to a Russian dating blogger Eve,

Check my article “Is being overcautious really useful in Ukrainian dating?” and find out why being overcautious is not cool and the reason why you cannot still find a woman for marriage.

There are a number of things that cause men to be extremely cautious including:

- Finances
- Potential red flags in the Ukrainian dating
- Fear of what the woman thinks

Oftentimes, being guarded results in being emotionally-distant and this is not an attractive trait for the ladies. It is not bad to be cautious, but do so with restrictions. Being cold and distant with a girl you intend to date will not get you anywhere.

How to Solve Your Dating Problem

Whether you are insecure or overcautious or both, you should start to fix the underlying problem: yourself. Be confident and deal with your imperfections. You do not have to perfect; you only have to be yourself. Finding the attractive Ukrainian or Russian woman you will be with for life is possible. All you need is the right approach and the right attitude.

No matter what happens, you should always remain positive in your pursuit of love. Do not give up and keep talking and meeting new people. Love will certainly come knocking on your door when you least expect it.

Good luck in your Ukrainian dating process!

Young russian girls & young russian women. An age gap issues relationships.
Dear friends,

Age-discordant relationships can be tough, top that with a Ukrainian-Western couple and it’s going to be a long and bumpy ride. Having a relationship with a different nation and with a rather elaborate age gap is not the easiest thing in the world. But somehow, other people seem to be very comfortable with such circumstances, in fact they even like it that way.

Cultural differences and its challenges

I would mention that the most prominent difference when dating a woman of different nation and age is culture. Culture is defined as beliefs and behaviors of a particular age, ethnic, and social group. With different ethnic groups come cultural differences that would most likely spark a heated discussion, misunderstandings, and so on.

Apart from the obvious cultural differences in a Ukrainian-Western, age-discordant relationship, challenges can run deeper than physical attributes; this includes whether or not one wants to have kids, sometimes even death. In my view, age-gap and cross-cultural relationships need flexibility for it to work. Often times, it has to be in the spirit of “love the one you are with when you are with him”.

Age-gap and Ukrainian/Russian-Western relationships face countless of challenges everyday but it’s never going to be a problem, when the couples are truly smitten with the other. Confidently, if a mature Western man is dating a Ukrainian girl half his age just because she’s more fun, energetic, and youthful, chances are that relationship is never going to work.

That controversial age preference

I have experienced most Western men prefer to date Ukrainian or Russian women younger than them as it makes them feel young. But women do not want to date younger men as it makes them feel old.

When it is the (Ukrainian) lady who is much older, she becomes more conscious of her age, beauty, fertility and even the smallest things like her vision. Unlike celebrities, ordinary women that are dating men almost half their age do not have their own glamour team, stylist, nutritionist, gym instructor, and the list could just go on.

Though Hollywood has deliberately showed us that age is nothing but a number, an age-discordant Ukrainian/Russian-Western relationship remains to be controversial among ordinary people including American, Ukrainian, and Russian male and female.

Even the fact that you joined an International online dating site remains to be a let-us-not-talk-about-that topic in many coffee rooms and hang out places nowadays. But the thing is, despite what society has taught us, Love can still blindside you no matter who you are, where you are, at what age and nationality.

Society pitfalls or not each Ukrainian woman who loves older men is a scammer

Unfortunately, society has somehow made us narrow minded people. If the older woman is rich, she’s believed to be pathetic as she is dating or buying the attention of men younger than her. If a young Ukrainian or Russian woman looking for a foreign husband shows interest in older men, she immediately becomes an unrespectable, clingy, gold-digging lady. The same thing goes with rich, old men dating a young russian girl and young men dating older women.

Do age and cultural differences really matter, or should love just conquer all? Do unique relationships like this one are set to fail or is it just like any other successful relationship?

Is it really controversial to join an International online dating site or matchmaking agency and start talking to men or russian women, older or younger than you are? Does initiating the first move to an older man make you look bad? Do you instantly become the villain when you start dating a single Ukrainian girl half your age? Do we really have to stick with the norm?

These questions could just go on and on. Definitely, Ukrainian-Western, age-gap relationships are nothing but hard. Anyone who are about to have such relationship better understand that there is a great difference between being “swept off your feet” and staying for the long haul.

No difference whatsoever

Relationships, whether or not it’s a cross-cultural and age-gap ones is more than just fun and games. It is about mutual respect, companionship, friendship, lust, love, fun, passion, among many others, something that we may not be able to find from the opposite sex our age.

Like any other relationship, you can make it work with dedication, proper communication, honest and yes, a lot of effort to understand your partner and shrug off the many judgmental perceptions of society. Then again, as a popular saying goes:

“Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter.” ~ Mark Twain

How to make time to build your Ukrainian-Western relationship (Part 2)

Dear friends,

this is the second part od the article “How to make time to build your Ukrainian-Western relationship”. You can read the first part here: ukrainiandatingblog.com/make-time-build-ukrainian-western-relationship

Have you read already? Let’s go!
Finding the Time

When it comes to Ukrainian online dating, you relish the thought of connecting with a special woman. So if you want to find the ideal match you have to put in the time to build an intercultural relationship. I am sure that there are doubts on finding the time it takes to establish a rapport. But with a few tips and a little bit of commitment, you will be amazed at what you can accomplish.

Here are a few pointers to get you started:

Tip #1: Learn to manage your time better.

Everyone has the same 24 hours in a day. Truthfully, you have more time than you realize. We all get busy, but it is all about priority. Instead of watching a favorite TV show; dedicate that time in finding the ideal match. If you are not convinced, then add up the hours you spend watching TV. You will be quite amazed of the time wasted on watching other people’s lives.

Tip #2: Keep a calendar of events and stick with the schedule.

It is easier to keep a schedule if you dedicate a certain time and day to spend on the international dating site. If it helps, pretend that it is a date that you cannot miss. After all, this is about your love life. Add a few notes on how to increase your love life and include this on your calendar of events.

Tip #3: Be proactive on the Internet.

Don’t just communicate on the dating site. Very solid relationships can be built using other forms of communication such as Skype, Viber, and even email. Fring is also another great option. It has various platforms including Android and iOS, plus four way video chat with 3G. As well, they have inexpensive international calls with their Fring Out VoIP app.

Tip #4: Once you have established a good relationship with a Ukrainian woman, organize a well planned trip to her country.

In honesty, most women expect the man to visit her. Also, never expect her to wait more than a few months for your return. Organize a trip for a couple of day or the full 2 weeks. Do not forget to research ahead of time for tickets, hotels, cultural events and place to take your date.

As well, make sure and check how long you can stay overseas. Generally Americans only receive 2 weeks. Fourteen days is not a long time and the short time can intensify the visit. Just make sure that the relationship is not premature. Otherwise the trip will most likely be a disaster.

Additionally, there are 2 possible options if you want a foreign bride to visit you. There is a tourist visa which is 3 months and a K-1, which is a 90 day (fiancé) or trial period. Either way, it is not much time.

How to make time to build your Ukrainian-Western relationship (Part 1)

2016-05-07T09:07:00.000-07:00

Dear friends,

In my opinion, in order to find the ideal match, it is imperative that a Ukrainian-Western relationship be established before you even consider meeting in person. As it happens, many men do not take the time away from their busy life to communicate through a dating site or matchmaking agency.

In effect, the chances of finding someone special are pretty slim. Although life can get pretty hectic when it comes to everyday living. Many are busy with family and friends, hard at work and taking care of basic life maintenance. On the other hand, if you establish an intercultural relationship then you have to put in the time.

Taking the Time

International dating is an excellent way to find dates and a potential partner from another country. But just like a career, you have to put in the time in order to be successful. The majority of men looking for women on a Ukrainian online dating site or through a marriage agency have been looking for at least a couple of months.

They may have even had a few great conversations. However, Ukrainian-Western relationships take a while longer to establish due to the many differences in language, culture and etiquette. It takes a lot more to establish serious communication than a few chats or great conversations. It takes timer to turn communication into something earnest, sincere and possibly serious.

What Ukrainian Women Want

It is unanimous around the world, most Ukrainian women like men who take the time to get to know them. Not only do women like men who do not rush into things, they also cherish getting to know you through honest communication. Moreover, there are basic features that many Ukrainian and Russian brides admire:

Tip #1: Women are interested in more than just your body.

They are unique individuals who admire the intellect as well as the physical.

Tip #2: Ukrainian women want to know all about you; your social life, intellect, charm, sense of humor, physical activities and family events.

Tip #3: Never tell a lie, not even a white lie about your age.

According to numerous studies, men tend to fabricate about how old they are and take 10 or so years off their real age. Just remember that women admire honesty.

The Initial Stage
At the start, it takes a lot of time to find a few good matches on any Ukrainian online dating site. Initially, there are hundreds of introduction letters, continual phone calls, numerous video chats and millions of short message services (SMS) like instant message (IM) chat to follow up on.

Consider it a numbers game. Just remember, the more women you contact, the more likely you are likely to find a good match. Once you get through the initial stage of all the emails and chats then you are almost home free to finding that special someone.

In addition, completing your profile is not only crucial but takes considerable time. Nonetheless, women want to see a complete profile and not a “No Answer” to hair color, eyes, career or interests. So the more you fill out your profile the more chances you have in matching with a person that is likeminded or has similar interests.

Contact with russian women. Why the personal contact is so important when dating a Ukrainian bride

Contact with russian women. Why the personal contact is so important when dating a Ukrainian bride
Dear friends,

Western men looking to find a Ukrainian / Russian wife usually face the dilemma of how and when to ask for direct contact information from the Ukrainian / Russian date in order to personalize the online dating communication.

The other reason, is the financial aspect of it, dating a Ukrainian / Russian woman through premium dating sites, usually takes-up a lot of credits and most men desire that they get out of the dating express mail system sooner rather than later.

There is a number of Ukrainian dating tips that can certainly be applied in order to allow you to proceed to the next level communication. These tips will help you pass the threshold of at least proving that both of you know each other and are cognizant to what is going on.

Tip #1: It is noteworthy not to mention the cost since doing so will denigrate you as cheap.

However, it is crucial that you have the personal contact information earlier in the Ukrainian online dating process. As I’ve written in my articles, platforms such as that offered by Skype can be an excellent starting point. You can go ahead and let the lady know how much you desire to have a personal conversation with her; this will also prove to her that you are willing to invest in live communication, which is crucial before you hit the road. If the woman is serious about the relationship, there is no reason why she should not divulge her contacts such as emails, or live chatting Skype address. Doing so will help you to develop trust and sense of authenticity.

Taking steps towards knowing the girl you are dating should not be a cause for anxious moments, because most of the Ukrainian / Russian women on International online dating sites usually request that the man be real. This essentially means that the man should take the lead, you need to make up your mind and know what you are looking for and to what end. However, it is crucial not to overstep the guns, let everything fall in its proper place. Being true to yourself and your dating partner will open gates to reciprocal communication opportunities to get you to know each other better.

Tip #2: Communicating through Skype can at least prove that the girl is real and that she knows about you.

Hearing her voice, seeing her picture, expressions and mannerism, will unveil significant portions of her personality and chemistry which will be immensely pertinent to both of you. Even though instances of reluctance may pervade communication during this time, too much of it may be disadvantageous to your relationship.

On the other hand, the girl from Ukraine or Russia may be weighing her chances of success, over her own insecurities of dealing with a stranger. Otherwise, no matter how sensually inviting the girl may-be, such brief incandescent conversation opportunities may not be solely enough to unravel the real image of the woman on the other end.

In my opinion, if the Ukrainian / Russian lady you are dating is unwilling to divulge her contact such as phone number, physical address or Skype contact with russian women, it is essential to make a quick decision and set them aside in order to avoid heartbreaking pitfalls and financial drain.

Most Ukrainian / Russian women have phone contacts and access to the internet, however, it essential to verify if such access is directly theirs or belongs to a member of family or friend. Taking such steps will help forestall any inconveniences that may serve as an impediment to communication. It will also not only relieve anxiety but will enable the two of you to find out the right way to steer the relationship further putting in mind mutual feelings you have for each other.

Tip #3: The quality of communication you enter into while dating a Ukrainian / Russian woman will significantly determine whether your relationship or courtship will be successful or not.

When you are, building a relationship it is necessary to acknowledge it as so. The quality of time spent chatting on Skype and conversing over the phone can send subtle cues that you are both serious about the relationship. By setting the right tempo at the onset of the relationship, you are in advent investing in the relationship. The lady should be ready to sacrifice her time and be devoted to the relationship while you should make the right inquisitions through questions, including direct ones.

The last tip requires that you become more assertive, you can tell the lady that you want to get to know her better beyond conversation. At this juncture, you may consider the possibility of travelling in order to send signals that you want the relationship to advance to another level. Such a move will make her reckon that you are serious with her.

Although this may take time and cause confusion; it is necessary to cultivate patient as this may mark a leap to another level of communication or acquaintance.

Date with russian young women. The best age for Western men to begin a search for a Ukrainian bride

Date with russian young women. The best age for Western men to begin a search for a Ukrainian bride

Dear friends,

As a westerner, the men seeking a Ukrainian & Russian woman needs to understand a few things about the women from Ukraine and Russia that are seeking a man and why they have decided to look for a western man to have a relationship with. The Russian and Ukrainian ladies looking to have a relationship with a man of the western world are in no way uneducated, simple, or desperate. As a matter of fact, most have a valued education, are quite intellectual, and tend to be very choosey when dating.

A man’s age can mean different things to Ukrainian & Russian ladies. If he is younger than she is, then the woman looks at him as if he is immature. If he is the same age that she is, he is still lacking in maturity. If he is older than her, then he is mature, dependable, and trustworthy. From my experience, I would mention that the older man is seen as the perfect guarantee of her future well-being when thinking of her future.

When men are genuine and sincere in their feelings, live an upstanding life, and will provide for a woman’s needs and that of her children, she stops looking at looks, age, and the size of a bank account. Showing her that he is a hard worker, just as she is, will also be a benefit to the westerner looking for a Ukrainian & Russian woman.

As I have written already, the reason that most Russian women are looking at western men is due to the quality and quantity of the men within their own country (read more here: “The male/female sex ratio in Ukraine and Russia”). These women had chosen to go after a college degree rather than becoming married at a russian young age women after first exiting from their general education. When they came home, all of the good catches within the acceptable males were already married or deceased.

From my point of view, the very best age for a western man to start searching for a woman from Ukraine and Russia would be while in his thirties. It is in the thirties that the western man holds the most attraction for the russian young women, eighteen to twenty five year old’s. This is the age group that is commonly desired by most western men of all ages.

Western men may feel free to begin a search for a Ukrainian & Russian wife at any age because to us ladies from these both countries, age is a sign of maturity and security. There is no doubt that most of the Russian and Ukrainian women look for men that are no more than fifteen years their senior. When a man is in his late forties to early fifties, he needs to keep this in mind, the early thirties is the youngest age of the Russian and Ukrainian young women that he will attract or draw the interest of.

Older men that are fifty five will need to consider that unless they are well off in a gracefully aged manner or has an abundant financial portfolio, the youngest age of the Ukrainian and Russian women for marriage that he will attract is going to be around forty or so. A woman in her twenties will very rarely give a man in his fifties a second glance unless he is incredibly good looking or has the financial stability that she is searching for.

I would say that most Ukrainian and Russian ladies are looking for older men because age means maturity, stability, and financial security for them and the children that they hope to have, nevertheless they are usually only seriously interested in someone that is no more than fifteen years older than themselves.

The Russian and Ukrainian females are not dating for any social reasons like most western women do. They are a woman of a different breed that is mainly looking for that special someone that they desire to spend the rest of their life with. They want a safe home, children, and a mature partner that will be a great provider, lover, and father.

To have a ten to fifteen year age gap in the western world is rare, but the Russian and Ukrainian women prefer life like this. They seek a male that will not be immature, lazy, out of shape, or a drunk like the men within their home country that they are used to seeing. A strong mature male that is very successful in life is what they seek in a mate.

Remember, guys, a Ukrainian & Russian woman is just like every other woman when it comes down to it. She desires happiness above all things. Finding a man that will treat her and her future children as if they are everything in the world to him, that is what she wants, needs, and desires the most.

To make yourself more attractive and desirable to the Ukrainian and Russian women, a western man needs to achieve a mature look but not too mature. Respect will need to be shown within every correspondence maintained with the Ukrainian & Russian lady of your choice. A great show of appreciation will also flatter women from these countries. Compliments given sincerely will also help to charm most of the women of Russia and Ukraine.

Ukrainian or Russian bride. Tips how to date a Ukrainian woman with no English

2016-05-07T09:04:00.002-07:00

Dear friends,

I would say that one of the most intimidating factors that prevent Western men from seeking a relationship with a Ukrainian or Russian woman for marriage can be that many of these women are not fluent English (German, French, Spanish or Italian) speakers.

Getting to know someone can be hard enough even if you both speak the language! However there are a number of reasons why the prospect of meeting, dating and even falling in love with a Ukrainian or Russian lady who does not speak a word of English (or any other foreign language) is possible and even likely when you choose the right woman.

The following article will help address some concerns of Western men who are looking into marrying a Ukrainian or Russian woman. We will discuss the initial language related barriers to finding a Ukrainian / Russian wife as well as some of possible solutions to this linguistically motivated problem.

Diagnosing the language barrier

Different potential brides will have a varying level of skill with the English (or German, French, Spanish or Italian) language. Most women in Ukraine will only know a few words or proper nouns while some will have near fluency in English.

Like all other groups of people a great deal of diversity in skills exists. In order find out how much person to person communication you will be able to accomplish with your potential bride you should inquire as to her level of English with the organization or service that you will be meeting her. This will allow you to prepare yourself using some of these techniques before you formally or physically meet this woman.

Possible Solutions

There are a number of ways that you can get around even the highest language barrier when dealing with Ukrainian and Russian women. In this section of the article we will go over some of the main ways that organizations help people communicate with each other for the purposes of finding someone to settle down with for life.

Solution #1: Nonverbal Communication

While a great deal of our language comes in the form of spoken language there are a great deal of things one can communicate simply by using facial expressions, physical touches and hand and body gestures. Using these cues will help a great deal when trying to learn about another person who does not happen to speak the same language as you. Facial expressions will be important as well and that is why meeting face to face or via Skype is an excellent way to help find out who the person you may plan on marrying is inside and outside.

Solution #2: Translators

When taking your initial meeting with a potential Ukrainian or Russian bride, many marriage & matchmaking agencies will provide the services of translators and other visual and audio aids that will help you say exactly what you need to say as well as allow the woman to speak to you.

These translators will be able to act as a bridge between you and your potential bride and will help you to fill in the gaps where nonverbal communication and other methods and techniques are insufficient.

If you make your intentions known it is very easy to find a Ukrainian or Russian woman that will dedicate herself to learning her new language. Many of these women have a number of services available to them to help them learn English and acculturate. They can use Skype or other internet websites along with different software programs that make learning English a breeze.

They will also pick up a great deal of the English language simply by speaking with and being around you and an English speaking society. Where there is a will, there is a way and you can help to make your possible bride a much better English speaker while at the same time getting to know her and making sure that you are making the right decision.

While being from opposite sides of the world and speaking radically different languages while seem like a huge impediment at first these methods can help one to overcome that barrier. Not only is the language barrier not as high as you would imagine, it may even help a couple to bond by engaging in mutual activity. Much like finding a common interest with someone else in your life, the pursuit of speaking English can be a fun exercise to allow you and your potential or future wife to spend some quality time together while at the same time bettering each other and yourselves.

Why do Western men send money to Ukrainian brides they barely know?

2016-05-07T09:03:00.004-07:00

Dear friends,

Recently, I found a forum discussion why do Western men send money to Ukrainian brides they hardly know. This thread aroused my curiosity because in spite of the huge number of articles on online dating scam, Western men still actively send money to the women they have never met in person and seen just 1 or 2 times. In my today’s article, I would like to discuss this topic. So guys, why do you send money to Ukrainian and Russian women you have never met offline?

As you know and can read on different dating advice services and blogs, many of International dating sites and agencies are not serious and the profiles of girls are not real. It may seem cruel to play with the emotions of somebody, but, honestly, the Ukrainian and Russian mail order bride business has a fairly shady reputation. This reputation has caused many people to steer clear of the industry and find love on their own. Ok, everything is clear! Men should be very cautious and not be naïve.

However, Russian and Ukrainian brides have become increasingly common as a desperate solution for loneliness. A Western man interested in a Russian and Ukrainian bride often has to send her as much as $1,000 a month while she’s still in Russia or Ukraine, just to get her to come over. From my experience as a dating blogger, I can say you that many men will gladly do this for months, even years, while proudly telling their friends about how in love he is with his wife.

As I said above, many Western men will do this even though they have met this woman a handful of times. Some men will do it even if they’ve never seen her in their entire life! They may have only communicated with her via phone calls or even e-mails. Sending a $1,000 to a woman you’ve never met undoubtedly seems insane to a wide group of people.

After all, think about online dating sites in America or another Western country like Germany, UK or France: would you send $1,000 a month to a woman in your home town that you’ve communicated with only via OkCupid? Hopefully, not. Yet, hundreds of men send huge portions of their income to a woman they’ve never met for extended periods of time, hoping to get the woman of their dream.

You can never underestimate the power of true loneliness: many men fool themselves into believing that the “love” they have with their Russian or Ukrainian bride is real and true. Many others are more cynical: they believe that you can “buy” a woman’s love if you send her enough money. Surely, that beautiful Russian or Ukrainian woman will fall in love with him if he sends her $12,000, right?

And then there is the cliché of the “knight in shining armor.” Mail order brides in Ukraine and Russia often describe desperate, unhappy situations in their homeland, that they simply have to escape. The only way she can escape, though, is through the money sent by the “man of her dreams” in America.

This scenario is highly tempting to a wide group of men. There’s nothing more tempting or romantic than coming across as a dashing savior. Many men who send off a third or even half of their paycheck to a woman they might never meet, undoubtedly feel a sense of moral superiority. After all, they are dashing to the rescue of a beautiful woman. What man hasn’t fantasized about that at some time in their life?

The sad truth of the matter, is that men often willing let themselves get duped or seduced by a “too good to be true” situation. They have nothing better going on in their lives and lack the sense of adventure that helps a man feel alive and important. By creating a scenario where they are a type of “conquering hero,” they are creating a (false) sense of adventure that makes them feel more alive. This is true even of those men that know they are being scammed.

However, this isn’t to say that all mail order brides services are scams. There are a few services that are legitimate or that won’t end up costing you thousands of dollars with no real reward. There are a few basic tips you can follow to avoid these scams and stay ahead. Many of these tips are pretty simple to understand and may even be obvious to the average person. However, for the love sick person who isn’t thinking straight, these tips may be essential to avoiding heart ache.

First of all, you need to consider how much money your potential bride is asking you to send. Obviously, you’re going to have to pay a little money for a plane ticket to get your bride to your home country. You may even have to help pay for processing her Green Card / Visa paperwork. But, would somebody that really love you ask you to send them thousands of dollars, before coming to meet you?

I think you know the answer to that question. If somebody is asking your for thousands of dollars, you are likely getting scammed. Don’t let your loneliness and emotional connection from with a picture and a few e-mails let you get pulled into a mail order bride scam. Instead, investigate mail order bride deals and find one that doesn’t ask you to invest thousands of dollars every month. They do exist, but they are hard to find.

Ukraine ladies & russian ladies. 6 questions to take your dating experience to a higher level
Dear friends,

This post is dedicated to asking and answering questions about Ukrainian dating and marriage relationships. You will find 6 interesting, helpful and amusing questions that will take your Ukrainian women experience to a higher level. Enjoy!

Question #1: You speak of the first date, and falling in love. But what about passion? What about sex? Is it ok to kiss on the first date?

I cannot tell you that women of Ukraine are ready to show you passion and make love on the first date. I think that only a few Ukraine ladies would agree to have sex on the first date. As you know, Ukrainian / Russian culture differs from Western culture. Thus, the Ukrainian and Russian woman’s attitude towards sex, hugs and kisses differs from the Western woman’s attitude.

You should know that our culture is rather conservative (the women are shy and do not kiss at the first date usually). Many readers write me that Ukrainian and Russian ladies are very shy, cannot or do not want to hug or kiss Western men, and it is really difficult sometimes to find out whether the woman is into you or not.

That makes the cross-cultural communication more complicated, in my opinion. Many women in Ukraine are waging a silent war for their own sexuality. In Literature, they are taught that they are to not even engage in a kiss without love being a priority. This makes the woman unable to explore her own sexual thoughts and attitudes to form a healthy sex life for her future husband.

Question #2: Are Ukrainian women virgins until they get marry?

The new generations of Ukrainian and Russian women become more confident about their sexuality and try to talk about sex and the woman’s role in Ukrainian and Russian cultures. In today’s society, even the young girls in Russia and Ukraine are pushing the envelope more and more.

They want to be like the Western women and enjoy the freedom to pursue their sexuality as so many women are doing today. Russian and Ukrainian society becomes modern and virginity is not necessary for Russian and Ukrainian people. It is normal that Russian and Ukrainian women have a sexual relationship and modern couples in Russia and Ukraine live without getting married.

Question #3: If I decide to marry a Ukrainian woman, should I expect the wedding to be in Ukraine?

No, not necessarily.

Question #4: I am 44 yrs old, and by the time I travel to Ukraine, I will turn 45 yrs old while in Odessa. The 5 Ukraine ladies range in ages from 18-30 yrs old. I am concern about the age difference and want to know if this is a matter of concern or is it normal? I am a career army officer and keep in fairly good physical shape and enjoy the nightlife very much. I think I could still have and show a good time to any woman regardless of age.

The “age difference” issue is very controversial. On one hand, many Western men ask themselves what age difference in Russian/Ukrainian-Western relationships is perfect. On the other hand, older men want to find a Ukrainian or Russian woman who are much younger than they are (and I understand why: this energy, this young beauty….).

I wrote a few articles about the age difference dilemma in a Ukrainian-Western relationship. Furthermore, I often get messages from my readers in which they ask me why younger Ukrainian women are not able or show no interest to understand them. I can say you from my personal experience that Ukrainian and Russian women feel more comfortable with older men (10- 15 years older) as a rule. As you know, the Ukrainian and Russian cultures and societies are rather traditional and conservative. Thus, the men have to support their wives and it is said in Ukraine that older men are better husbands and better supporters.

I would like to say one more time that the age difference between a Western man and a Ukrainian woman is an individual issue. Everyone must know what makes him happy. I am sure that the relationship with a 10 or 20 year age gap can work excellently! If people from different cultures love each other and understand without words – why cannot they be happy together?

Question #5: One of the Ukraine ladies has spoken of have a big wedding in Ukraine, approximately 200 people give or take a dozen. Who normally pays for the weddings in Ukraine? In America is the father of the Bride. Can you explain who weddings in Ukraine work?

In Ukraine, the bride and groom’s families will generally come to an agreement about who will pay for what. It is not usually assumed that one party or the other will be paying. Often, the decision is arrived upon spontaneously. That means, you should talk about the wedding with your bride and decide who can pay for what things. Honestly, 200 guest are really too many, also for Ukrainian ones. Usually, 40-80 guests are invited to the wedding.

Ukrainian wedding traditions begin with the engagement. It is customary for the groom to visit the home of the bride’s parents, accompanied by two married men, to ask for the woman’s hand in marriage. As in America, both the bride and the groom have private parties with their friends a few days before the ceremony.

On the day of the wedding, the bride gets ready at home with her friends, and the groom comes to pick up the bride, her friends, and her parents in an elaborately decorated car. The bride’s mother is expected to toss rose leaves, coins, and/or seeds to the bride and groom as they leave the house.

All of these items represent life, health, and prosperity for the new family. The wedding concludes with a party for all the family and guests. In the Ukraine, a civil wedding is signed on Saturday while the religious service for the wedding is held on Sunday. Once the service is complete, the bride and groom separate and return to their family homes. A meal is presented at both homes.

On the morning after the wedding, a ceremonial breakfast with all of the guests and both the bride and groom’s family occurs. The formal wedding rituals are then complete, though the frivolity and merry-making continues throughout the day.

Question #6: Is it customary for me to bring a present when we first meet? How expensive should it be? What would be good choices?

Meeting a Ukrainian woman for a first date will require making a first impression. One way for you to do this is by offering some sort of gift. So it is pretty usual that men bring a small gift when you first meet. Gifts that you present to Ukrainian women show that you are attentive, devoted and committed to developing a serious relationship. This provides reassurances that you are sincere in your pursuit.

The type of gift that you offer to a Ukrainian lady is a major factor to receiving her attention. You are safe by offering a bouquet of roses on a first date. However, you will benefit by offering chocolates or a small bottle of perfume. You can find many gift types if you visit Ukraine by looking to see what is available in a duty-free shopping area. Candy to use for the gift can be found at a local confectionery shop.

Your next question is how expensive your gift should be. I have received some messages from my readers with the question if this is usual in Ukraine to buy gifts from $2,000. The reason for this question is the requirement of some Ukrainian women to buy them such an expensive gift because, according to their words, all Ukrainian men buy their favorite woman VERY expensive gifts for certain holidays and buying expensive gifts for them proves the man’s total love for them. As is the case with most women, Ukrainian women love to receive gifts from the men who date them. And just as is the case for most women, it’s not the amount of money that is spent, it’s the symbolism of love and care that matters most.

A Ukrainian woman who presses her man for excessively expensive gifts should be avoided. And although it is true that Ukrainian men buy the Ukraine ladies they date gifts, they are rarely expensive. After all, as it is in most cultures, it’s the thought that counts, not the money.

Ukrainian dating interview with Keith: the challenges of Ukrainian-Western marriages

2016-05-07T09:01:00.003-07:00

Today, I have the pleasure of conducting an exclusive interview with Keith to whom I talked in March of last year (s. his first interview HERE). In the first interview, he told me about his search for a wife in Ukraine and experiences he had before he found his wife-to-be. Since the time we made our first interview Keith’s Ukrainian spouse moved to the USA and they got married in the beginning of 2013. Today, we talk about his new family life and the challenges of international relationships and marriages.

Elena: Hi, Keith. Thank you once again for the agreement to give an interview to my Ukrainian dating blog. Before we start, please tell us briefly how you found your wife. As far as I know, you met her in the Mordinson marriage agency (http://www.mordinson.com). How was the service you got in this agency different from what you experienced before you found Mordinson?

Keith: Hi Elena! Yes, I was very pleased with the personal attention I received at Mordinson. I went in to this whole thing very cautious because of some of the stories that I read about on the internet. When I started to look around I felt uneasy with the first couple of places so I gave Mordinson a try. I was never pressured and everything that was expected was delivered. They have a really nice business there!

Elena: My first question many men are interested in is about the fiancée visa (in your case, the K1 visa). How did you overcome this complicated bureaucratic process? How much time and money did you need? What were the requirements and immigration regulations for the K1 visa?

Keith: To tell you the truth this part of the process has bored me out of my mind!:) Mordinson handled my wife’s paper work for me and then Michael Mordinson referred me to a forum that I used for support when I filed my documents. It was not fun but because of the support forum I was able to at least know which documents to fill out. Here are also places that you can pay to do this stuff for you but it seemed expensive to me. I just accepted the fact that I would have to learn the process but it was so much easier with the support forum. They even had sample forms already filled out so all you had to do was almost copy what they did and just make your personalized adjustments.

The worst part was the wait after we filed. It took 9 months for approval and in the mean time I was reading that if you did something wrong in the forms you would be rejected and have to start over. I’m not sure if that is true but it made the wait more stressful than it had to be. I don’t remember how much money the whole thing cost but I know that the costs are listed on the USCIS website.

Elena: Tell us please what is the difference between the relationship with a Western and Ukrainian woman from your point of view? Is that difference really major? What are the challenges a man should be prepare himself to should he decide to pursue a relationship with a woman from Ukraine?

Keith: I still feel that my wife met my expectation of having a more traditional view of marriage and family than what I was used to with some women here. I was also pleased to find that she also has a conservative personality as do I. She is family oriented and somewhat obsessed with being thrifty and not over paying for clothes and food. My wife is very practical in this regard which makes me happy.

As far as challenges go I would guess that there are a few. Mostly things like expecting to help them through a big adjustment when they come to your country. Also I believe that from their upbringing they look to the man in the relationship for money and to provide for the household.

My advice to guys from Western countries that are looking in Ukraine is this: don’t necessarily confuse the role that the women there will want you to play as a provider and leader of the household with being used for money. I personally believe that roles are an important part in any marriage but that they are more important when you are married to a woman from Ukraine. That being said, not every Ukrainian woman or agency is on the up and up so I was cautious.

Elena: From my experience, I can say that a Ukrainian woman can experience certain problems in the course of her adjustment period in a new country, she can feel homesick and that feeling can be amplified by not being able to speak a local language fluently and not having a circle of friends. What were the difficulties your wife encountered after she moved to the United States? Cultural shock, language problems, feeling homesick or integration into a new life?

Keith: I have to hand it to my wife because she met this challenge head on. She almost immediately got on the internet to look for Ukrainian and Russian friends in our area to help her through the process. Some had been here for 10 or more years and all offered helpful advice to her. She is still in Ukraine mode and watches Russian TV, internet etc constantly but she has grown much more comfortable with the US since she arrived 7 months ago. Another invaluable tool is Skype. She chats with friends and family back home face to face every day. And its free!

Elena: And finally, for those men who are still looking for a Ukrainian woman for dating and marriage, what tips or advice would you give?

Keith: Probably the best advice I had read was to go with a small agency that has been in business for many years. As fun as it was looking at the huge agencies (with hundreds of beautiful women) I wasn’t getting the feeling that it was going to be a low risk proposition if I had gone with them.

Luckily other people that had been scammed talked about it on the internet and therefore I chose Mordinson. Once you feel comfortable with the agency that you choose, you then have to search for the right chemistry in your mate.

Be yourself and don’t be afraid to discuss the things in your life that you are passionate about. Also consider their goals and be prepared to travel there. This can’t all be done by email, you need to go there or it won’t work.

The five biggest mistakes that damage Western-Ukrainian marriages

2016-05-07T09:00:00.000-07:00

Dear friends,

Finding true love can be difficult; however, for millions of people who are in Western-Ukrainian relationships and marriages, there are additional factors which must be considered in order to have a successful outcome. There are countless benefits to being in a long term, committed relationship with someone from a different culture.

Many times, these relationships thrive on the unique perspectives and cultural differences that each partner brings to the table. However, with Western-Ukrainian relationships and marriages also come unique issues which must be addressed with the utmost respect and sensitivity to both partners.

This article will explore some of the biggest mistakes that one may make, which can permanently damage a Western-Ukrainian relationship and marriage, as well as ways to avoid such issues in the first place.

Mistake #1: The Family-Planning Dilemma

One of the most pressing issues for many Western-Ukrainian relationships is the decision of whether to have children. While some people from Western cultures are fine with never producing offspring, Ukrainian and also Russian cultures place an emphasis on family life.

So for example, I have experienced that German-Ukrainian relationships fell apart due to family planning issues. Many German men (especially who are older and already have children from previous relationships) do not want children anymore or guess that they are not in a financial position to begin right away because the Ukrainian wife does not work and the men feel they cannot afford a child. On the other hand, many Ukrainian women want a baby immediately after marriage and believe that you will never be financially ready.

This is especially important to remember, when engaging in a relationship with Ukrainian or Russian women. One must be open to the possibility of having children at some point in the relationship. For many individuals, the unwillingness to have children can be a “deal breaker,” and may lead to a separation. Prior to getting married, it is extremely important to discuss one’s own willingness to have children, in order to ascertain that both people in the relationship are on the same page.

Mistake #2: A problematic relationship with parents-in-law

Along the same lines of having children, many cultures value a close, interconnected family unit. Because of this, it is important to try to get along with a partner’s extended family. Family cohesion may be disrupted if there is turmoil between any members of the family.

It is important to try to make an effort to establish meaningful connections with a partner’s family members, even if they live far away. Showing effort, and valuing a Ukrainian wife’s family, will make for a happier, healthier relationship, and will help to strengthen bonds among all members of the family.

Mistake #3: Being selfish and lack of cultural tolerance

There is often some personal compromise which must be done when engaging in a Ukrainian-Western relationship. It is important to try to quell any selfish tendencies one might have, especially if one’s partner is not particularly accustomed to the culture.

In addition, cultural sensitivity is extremely important, especially if one desires a long term commitment, such as marriage. Be open minded regarding customs or traditions that one’s partner may want to incorporate into the relationship. One of the best things about being in an intercultural relationship is the variety and spice that it can bring to the union.

Mistake #4: Lack of honesty

Another cornerstone of successful intercultural relationships is honesty. Telling lies is never a good idea, especially if they are ill intentioned. Being completely truthful with one’s partner in terms of relationship expectations, thoughts, and feelings, will lay an important foundation for the relationship to grow and mature.

Mistake #5: Lack of communication

Lack of communication is often a pivotal factor in regards to whether an intercultural relationship is successful. With many intercultural relationships, there is often a significant language barrier which must be addressed. Many times, though, communication relies on both verbal and non-verbal cues. As important as words and vocalized expressions of love may be to a relationship, one can deeply strengthen his bonds with his partner through simple acts of kindness and romantic touch.

Many times, as a relationship progresses through the years, couples may forget to reaffirm their love and commitment towards one another. When this occurs, cracks in the relationship’s framework begin to form. By keeping lines of communication open, addressing one another’s needs for kind words and romantic touch, as well as keeping each other’s best interest in mind, intercultural couples are much more likely to have a successful relationship.

Maintaining a successful Ukrainian-Western relationship does pose some interesting situations which must be adequately addressed with sensitivity and respect to both partners. Being aware of both partner’s expectations of the relationship, as well as differences in cultural upbringing, can be beneficial in enhancing compatibility and love. Aside from issues regarding cultural differences, many of the same cornerstones which lay the foundation of a successful relationship can be utilized to help an intercultural relationship grow.

NO SHORTCUTS!: Some important facts about Ukrainian dating

2016-05-07T08:59:00.001-07:00

Dear friends,

Recently, I found an interesting article “No Shortcuts!” by a Ukrainian blogger Galyna Tate. In her blog post, Galyna describes some important facts about Ukrainian dating. You can ask me why I want to talk about this blog post. The answer is easy, namely: Galyna has gained a lot of experience with International online dating. She moved to the USA for starting an adventurous relationship and marriage with a Western man. The blogger knows almost everything about challenges, concerns and doubts, devotion and frustration as well as internal battles in a cross-cultural relationship and marriage. So what does Galyne write in her article?

There are thousands of Western men who travel to the Ukraine each year to find a potential wife. Some men are successful in their search and do find a Ukrainian bride. 2010 data for the U.S. says that the Ukraine and Russia were not the prominent areas where male travelers visited to find a new bride. This section of the international match making world is not among the top ten countries where international dating occurred.

Other countries have tended to fair better. Mexico and China were among the top countries in this dating field. The Philippines and India were two of the top choices. Other countries for international dating included those in Latin American and additional southeast Asian countries. Many of these male travelers are visiting these top ten countries for dating purposes and to search for a possible spouse.

This type of dating often requires several trips to the country where the prospective bride lives. The decision to marry is like any other major decision. The bride may want to move to the U.S. This type of commitment and procedure takes around two years to complete. The arrangement to marry and to live in the U.S. usually involves several months of legal filing. There are certain documents that must be obtained before the bride can move to the U.S. Some spouses decide to live in the bride’s country of origin as well.

A trip to visit a prospective spouse in the Ukraine can be expensive. Usually the trip costs around $3,000.00 to $5,000.00 in total. A week stay is an average stay for this kind of visit overseas. Some of these relationships last beyond the trips and gifts that are offered to the prospective bride. There are those other relationships that dissolve like any other type of dating. Making connections in the Ukraine is one reason that a suitor may choose to date someone in this area of the world. These connections are often expensive, and the relationship may be superficial.

Some men travel to the Ukraine in order to acquire certain business connections. The relationship may taken a second seat with this kind of match making. These arrangements often do not last. Just dating someone this far away seems like an expensive venture. A new relationship with someone in the Ukraine will be like any other relationship. The prospective wife may be looking for certain qualities in a future spouse. Age may be important, and she may want someone closer to her own age. Taking care of someone financially may be an end result for this type of superficial arrangement.

Galyna points out that expectations are important. Finding the right spouse can mean traveling to see her and taking her gifts. There are additional qualifications that are necessary and realistic. Age and physical attraction may be important for both parties to consider. Common interests are critical in order to have a mental connection. Spiritual concerns are important to some people. There are no shortcuts to finding the perfect bride.

Going to a foreign country and expecting anything different than a normal dating situation is unrealistic. The potential bride has family concerns and personal expectations for her future husband. Mutual respect is important, and this respect should come from both sides who are thinking about marrying one another. Building a future together is certainly a realistic goal. Marriage could mean future children from this union. The bride’s family may want to be involved in the child rearing as well. There are no shortcuts anywhere, and realism is expected from any future son-in-law.

The “russian women mail order bride” industry: development & future

2016-05-07T08:58:00.002-07:00

The “russian women mail order bride” industry: development & future
Dear friends,

Gone are the days when you could order a “mail order bride” from Ukraine or Russia the way you could a pizza. Western men who want to get married a Ukrainian / Russian woman are wondering if there is any chance to find a honest and serious woman from Ukraine or Russia via online dating services. There was a time when it was almost as simple. But no longer…

Today, I would like to discuss what is the Ukrainian / Russian mail order bride industry at the present time: big Internaional online dating sites like AnastasiaDate.com, CuteOnly.com or ElenasModels.com or matchmaking agencies with personal service? My another question is who are these modern “mail order brides”: women looking for love abroad or Green Card brides.

The development of Ukrainian dating business: Western men meet scammers…

The Ukrainian / Russian mail order bride industry is not what it used to be, and scams abound. These are perpetrated by professional scammers who create fake dating agencies that describe non-existent women for the purpose of luring in unsuspecting men. The men, of course, are expected to pay for meeting the women. While there are legitimate International dating services like Mordinson or KievConnections, don’t depend even on those to find the love of your life.

There is no doubt that the Ukrainian and Russian marriage industry is characterized by scams of one form or another (professional pro-daters, scam dating agencies and sites, scam groups that create fake profiles on dating sites, etc.). The fact is that it becomes very hard and problematical to find honest and serious Ukrainian and Russian women actively seeking a foreign husband through online dating services.

The way it works nowadays is for a Western man to pay for a certain amount of credits that go towards instant messaging. This isn’t as uncomplicated as it sounds. That’s because there is often a language barrier that obstructs free-flowing conversation which in any event is rarely deep.

Although it is against the rules, the women try to prolong the conversations with provocative talk. The more money they can get the men to spend, the more they earn for themselves. For example, one woman said “I dream to find a man who is tender and caring.” Another said “…your photo caught my eye.” These encouraging remarks give men the confidence to continue the conversation thus spending more credits.

The “mail order bride” industry: a lot of money, scam and emotions

The international dating agencies report earnings of $110 million in 2012 and earnings are projected to be $140 million in 2013. Its user traffic grew 220% in 2012, and now has four million users who spend hundreds of millions of dollars per year in hours on the site.

Who are these people who yearn for love in a foreign clime? It’s a safe bet that the women (from Ukraine and Russia) come from economically depressed areas and hope to better their circumstances. The men are usually between 35 and 60 years old and earn about $100,000 a year. Why can’t they find local women to date? There are no provable statistics about this, but it is probable they have been disappointed in love locally and hope to find better luck, and perhaps more submissive women, in Russia and Ukraine.

I will not reveal a big secret if I say that there are many women usually seeking a green card, which they get when they marry an American national. Then they can continue to live in America, even if they divorce. For some women, that is all they need to fulfill their dreams of escape from a harsh cold climate, an impoverished life and no prospects of improvement. But…

The future of Ukrainian dating business

From my experience, I would like to mention that many Ukrainian and Russian women registered on online dating services are really serious about a relationship, dating and marriage. I know that cross-cultural relationships will continue as they have done since God was a lad and real. If you are motivated, have better than average interpersonal skills and follow a few simple anti-scam rules, you have a really good chance to find a Ukrainian lady through the WEB.

The international dating industry has radically changed from the mail order bride trade of ten years ago. In 1999 there were about 200 international marriage brokers who organized between 4,000 and 6,000 marriages. Ten years later, there were 400 such agencies, or roughly double, with between 10,000 and 15,000 weddings resulting. That is a resounding success for the dating agencies and, hopefully, the men and women involved.

For some people, a Ukrainian dating agency doesn’t sound the least bit romantic. But what is someone to do who lives far away with no chance of meeting someone from America, let’s say. In my opinion, small matchmaking and marriage agencies in Ukraine and Russia offer Western men a real chance to meet real women with honest intentions. You get personal service and real profiles of the potentional brides. In any case, if you are serious about finding a wife from Ukraine, you should think about this possibility.

I would like to say a few words about the development of social networks in recent times. Free dating sites like mamba.ru and social networks like VK.com have the potential to create some serious competition in the paid online dating industry. Why should men pay thousands of dollars for using online dating sites if they can get acquainted with a woman from Ukraine for free? As for me, free dating sites and social networks could be a good oppurtunity to search a woman from Ukraine or Russia online.

Unfortunately, there are safety problems in meeting a stranger in a strange land. Sometimes the foreign brides are prey. A Texas man planned to kidnap and kill a woman he met online. There are also many cases of domestic violence, including murder, in (mail order bride) intercultural marriages.

There is now a federal statute to protect women brought to the U.S. through the services of international marriage brokers. Called the International Marriage Broker Regulation Act, it was not popular with the dating agencies that saw it as a threat to their business when it was introduced.

A Few Tips for Moving to Ukraine

2016-05-07T08:56:00.006-07:00

Dear friends,

Most Western men who decide to marry a woman from Ukraine are sure that a wife should move to the country of her husband. However, I’ve seen a lot of discussions on Russian/Ukrainian women forums in which men have talked about the possibility of moving to Ukraine.

Cheap prices of living in Ukraine, a unique mentality and mysticism of the Ukrainians raise the ideas to start a new life in this amazing, but difficult country. Some Western men are seriously considering moving to Ukraine for a while. So, in this “natural” way, they hope getting acquainted with the future wife.

Guys, if you are interested in moving to Ukraine, there are a few things you should consider. You have to think about the necessary preparation, how you will move, language acquisition, the new culture you will become a part of, as well as what life is like in Ukraine.

Here are some tips to help you get started.

Preparation

You should begin preparing to move at least three months in advance of your expected departure date. There are many things that may need to be dealt with before you are ready to leave your country. Make a list of everything you need to do so that things can run smoothly.

Visa

Make sure you do your research as to what kind of visa you should obtain depending on your country of origin. You will need to prepare certain documents that are required in order to get your visa. It can take time to gather everything you need, and still more time to wait for your visa to arrive. Do not wait until the last minute to start the process.

There is good news for citizens of the United States, European Union, Swiss Confederation, Liechtenstein, Canada, and Japan. You no longer need a visa to enter Ukraine if you are going to stay no more than 90 days in the country. You may be able to try crossing the border and returning to Ukraine if you want to stay longer, but this is at your discretion and may not work out as you would like.

Work Permits

If you want to work while living in Ukraine, you must obtain a work permit to legally receive wages. The work visa will also give you permission to reside in Ukraine all year. In order to receive a work permit, a company in Ukraine must have already accepted you as an employee. There are a number of documents required for the work permit, so do your research.

Vaccines

It is important to take care of your health, especially when traveling abroad. The environment will be new and you may not know what to expect, therefore you should look into getting vaccines. Hopefully you are up to date on your routine vaccinations.

addition, there are several recommended vaccines specifically for travel to Ukraine. The Hepatitis A vaccine is beneficial for avoiding the contraction of hepatitis A through contaminated food or water. If you are planning on having a new sexual partner, getting a tattoo or piercing, or think you might be getting a medical procedure while in Ukraine, the Hepatitis B vaccine is recommended.

A rabies vaccine would be beneficial if you are going to travel to remote areas outdoors or if you will be working with or around animals. Additional vaccines may be recommended or required depending on your country of origin or which countries you will travel through on your way to Ukraine.

Other

Other preparations include canceling services you use now that need a notice period before you cancel.

The Move

Be sure to choose the right moving company for you in Ukraine. This is essential and extremely important for any expatriate. Independent organizations such as FIDI can assist you in finding moving companies you can trust. Work quality, special packing materials and a wide set of connections can indicate company principles that will offer great service.

The Language

It can be a daunting task moving to a country where you don’t know the language. Therefore it is highly recommended that you learn the basics of Russian and Ukrainian. You should also become familiar with the Cyrillic alphabet since it is used for shop and road signs. This will open up a whole new world for you to engage in and enjoy.

You will be able to make friends and communicate with confidence. Practice what you’ve learned with your new friends. Don’t be afraid to ask for help with words or pronunciation. Emersion is one of the best ways to learn a language, so be an attentive listener to the conversations happening around you.

The Culture

You should take time to learn the culture and traditions of Ukraine. For example, Ukrainians are very hospitable. You will often be invited to your friends’ homes to share a meal or drinks. You should return the invitations. Also, taking off your shoes before going inside of their home is considered good manners.

Life in Ukraine

Pros:

Ukrainians receive universal healthcare. Even if the service may not be the best, they don’t have to spend a lot of money on medical expenses.
The crime rate is low and there are no terrorist attacks.
Public transportation is cheap and works well.
There is a lower cost of living.

Cons:

The government is difficult and aggressive. Official procedures can be complicated and confusing.
The police are not trusted, nor is the judicial system. Prisons are insufferable. Corruption runs rampant.
The cities’ food, water, and air are of a low quality.
Guys, I have a question for you. Have you thought about moving to Ukraine? Or if you find your future wife in Ukraine, she should move to your (Western) country without any doubts?

Meeting Ukrainian / russian woman in your own country first: the Pros & Cons

2016-05-07T08:54:00.002-07:00

Meeting Ukrainian / russian woman in your own country first: the Pros & Cons

Dear friends,

Even though the reasons have somewhat changed over the years, the Marry a Ukrainian/Russian Bride industry is still alive and kicking. According to one research firm, among the top ten multinational introduction services that are primarily based online, more than 11 million visitors inquired during March 2013.

This was an increase of one-third over the same month, one year prior. As the market for introductions to available Russian and Ukrainian women continues to thrive, many men who are looking are seeking more reliable information, especially from other men who have or are going through it.

Planning a new future is hard enough, but when you also have questions such as how much it costs to send written letters overseas, how to combine cultures, how to ask for her hand, and all the questions about visas — it can be overwhelming! This is surely a move not to make lightly, and there are some things to watch out for, before you decide to bring your Ukrainian lady to visit your country.

However, don’t let that stop you if you are seeking a Ukrainian bride. Many happy men in the U.S. and Western Europe have found true love and happiness with their special lady from the former Soviet Union (FSU.)

First, the cons why you should meet your Ukrainian bride in your home country:

1. Anytime the Internet is involved, there is a chance that you may run into swindlers and fraud.
This could be a woman herself or a fake business that uses a few women to cheat men out of their hard-earned dollars. Some fraudulent businesses take advantage of both the women in Ukraine / Russia and the men overseas.

If you look at online testimonials, you will find men who believe the Ukrainian online dating industry is nothing but false advertising. Alternately, you will also find many men who are currently enjoying happy marriages or engagements or sometimes they are still traveling back and forth visiting each other. While some couples find it doable to make several get-together vacations before deciding on a life together, others find it harder due to employment or a child at home that needs them.

2. Occasionally, a woman from Ukraine really only wants the chance to travel and see other places and meet other people, but has no big desire to actually settle down yet. It could get expensive dating such a woman, since she may be expecting you to pay her way. Unless she finds you interesting off the bat, she may be one that wants to look around first. This is not always the case, but it is a possibility.

3. Of course, the expense involved is a concern for most Western men, because it can be unclear upfront what the whole search will total in the end. Invariably, it is different for each person, and many decisions come up along the way that either add to the cost or cut costs.

You don’t want to continue paying even nominal amounts if you find yourself completely incompatible with the first woman you meet, or the second, or the third. You need to keep in mind a way to bail out, if the need arises.

4. Visas and other vital documents can prove to be annoying throughout the waiting process, and it takes research to find out what types of temporary visas exist, followed by the procedure to take if you do find your potential bride. There are required steps to follow; forms must be filled out and filed, such as the I-130 and then a K-3 or K-4, followed by a V-1 or V-2.

5. You could wind up in a situation where she makes other contacts with westerners while visiting, and if she doesn’t feel a connection to you, she may wind up coming back to visit other people. Understandably, if you are emotionally bonding to her and have spent money, vacation time and energy on her you may not want to try again for some time.

Now for some pros:

1. By bringing her to his country to visit, the man can determine if the Ukrainian woman for marriage is ready to leave her country of birth for his. She has probably only heard from others and looked at pictures of American life, but until she actually experiences it for a short while, you don’t really know how she will react to it.

2. You will have the chance to be together completely alone, which is the best way to see if your personalities click. You gain a taste of what it’s like living with someone with foreign habits, at least until she becomes more westernized.

3. Even though some Western men want to meet a Ukrainian or Russian woman in her own natural setting, it is best to see how she reacts in a new one. Additionally, many new couples choose to vacation in a third country where neither has been before, such as Greece, Italy or Turkey.

Looking ahead, however, you must take some steps to make your dreams come true. If you follow basic precautions, do your research and keep an open heart ready, your chances are good for a successful union. There IS someone for everyone; it’s just finding them that take some work.

The GUS bride safaris: How Western men search for a traditional wife in Russia & Ukraine

Dear friends,

There have been jokes about “mail order brides” that go as far back as the early eighties; many of us have heard about it. There are a lot of International online dating websites that even encourage online dating between countries to enable these “mail order brides” to meet men in other countries.

We have experienced everything from movies to stand-up comedians on the subject, but how much do we really know about the Russian/Ukrainian bride safaris? Today I am going to discuss the article “The Soviet bride safaris: Inside the seedy parties where Western men hunt for impoverished young Russians and Ukrainians to make ‘traditional, sexy’ wives” published on dailymail.co.uk. I found this article very interesting, but at the same time bitter and a little bit cynical. So inside the sordid “mail order brides” parties…

Men from all over the world are making their way to the former Soviet Union to find romance and companionship on Romance Tours through use of the Russian/Ukrainian bride safaris. This is a perfect way to combine travel and exploration of new places, with potentially finding a wife. Of the different countries around the world that are participating, it appears that American and British men are the most abundant.

It is not hard to understand why, with a country that is populated with ten women to every one man. In a country subjected to an economic crisis, some have found a way to prosper through creating a system that allows foreign men an opportunity to meet women, which they would otherwise never have a chance to meet.

For between $2,450.00 and $4,900.00 or (£1,500 to £3,000) any Western man looking for a Ukrainian or Russian woman can participate in a Romance Tour, in any one of several former Soviet Union cities, but the most predominant would be Kiev, the capital city of the Ukraine.

The Kiev tour gives men from any location, or occupation, a chance to tour a city as rich in history as it is in women. Most tours even have the ability to overcome language barriers, by having interpreters on site, and through the duration of the tour.

The Kiev tour for instance, consists of approximately twenty men that are being introduced to multiple women, sometimes as many as one-hundred to two-hundred and fifty in a couple of weeks. All of these women are young, beautiful, single and looking to start a long term relationship, according to the tour officials.

Although there has been some controversy, this is becoming a booming industry for Russia and Ukraine. The International online dating and marriage industry also has the added benefit that the visa rules are significantly less stringent in Ukraine than those in Russia.

Although there has been controversy over the ethical connotations that the Russian /Ukrainian bride safari offers, most participants openly state their approval of the situation; men and women alike.

Western men looking for a Ukrainian wife offer statements like: “I want a woman who wants to be a traditional wife. A wife, who stays at home, takes care of the home and children if we have them. Too often now, our women are raised to not only be independent, but career driven, and most lack the nurturing that women used to be raised with. What is wrong with wanting that?”

Another man was quoted stating, “At home I have a hard time meeting women. Even when I can, I find it hard to find a woman who likes me. Here, I have the opportunity to meet hundreds of women in a short time, and in a comfortable atmosphere.”

On the other hand, one of the Ukrainian women on the romance tour stated: “Yes, I am looking to meet a foreigner. I am looking because other countries don’t have as high a rate of divorce, domestic violence as we do. I want a man who wants to share his life with me; I don’t really care how old he is.”

So in conclusion, the Russian / Ukrainian bride safari is an evolved version of the mail order bride. Now in 2013, for approximately five thousand dollars or less, you can go on a tour where you can meet between five women, and a couple hundred women, all of whom are interested in meeting someone to start a relationship with.

All while traveling to an exotic locale, and enjoying several sites in the former Soviet Union. Perhaps some will find a significant other, or even a spouse. Others of course won’t, but at this point, it seems like the Russian / Ukrainian bride safari will be continuing business for the foreseeable future.

On the other hand, I am convinced that the Romance tour offers you a chance to meet a Ukrainian woman for marriage and life.
