I think once you're given a title, you have a responsibility to live up to that. So I will continue to sell pepper spray (Mace is now a brand of pepper spray) and educate people, especially women, on the different types and why they should carry some.

Quick Pepper Spray Tip

2013-09-09T22:08:00.000-05:00

Before you use or carry pepper spray, try it out to see what it feels. Each canister is a bit different depending on its size and the kind of top it has.

Even the smallest ½ oz. size has enough for 6-8 one second sprays so use 1 or 2 for practice.

Or get yourself an inert practice spray canister, usually in ½ o. or 2 oz. size if you don’t want to “waste” any pepper spray.

What if George Had Pepper Spray?

2013-07-18T21:06:00.000-05:00

In case you've been on vacation in some remote tropical place, the breaking news is that George Zimmerman has been acquitted of the murder of Trayvon Martin in Florida. Riots and protests ensued, Stevie Wonder is boycotting the state of Florida, opinions are flying around, the jurors are in hiding, the feds are threatening to get involved, and so on.

All in the name of self defense!

You may be wondering what exactly is self defense. When can it be used, how may it be used, can a weapon be used, if so, what kind? Lethal or non-lethal? Should you just run away, retreat? What if you can't? What if you're being held down and attacked?

What if George had the strongest pepper spray or a high voltage stun gun instead of a hand gun? He still could have defended himself and Trayvon would still be alive.

Anyways, we'll never know what really happened that night, and both men made mistakes, sadly, one of them fatal.

Our products at Platinum Security Products are non-lethal self defense weapons. They are effective and have no permanent damage to an attacker. Chances are slim that you'll wind up in court after using them.

This Best Pepper Spray Can't Be Used Against You

2012-11-07T20:21:00.000-06:00

You want to carry some type of self defense product, maybe the best pepper spray, but you're afraid that an attacker will just grab it and start to spray it at you. So you don't carry anything, leaving yourself vulnerable.

You don't have to feel like this anymore. There's a new kind of pepper spray that deactivates when the wrist strap is pulled away. It's the new Defuser Pepper Spray!

Wear the strap around your wrist and grip the pepper spray canister in your hand while you walk, jog or run. If someone tries to pull it away from your hand, once the pin attached to the strap is pulled out, the pepper spray canister won't spray.

Hopefully, you had the chance to spray your attacker before it's grabbed away from you and deactivated. Then you'll have time to escape to safety while he's choking, coughing and crying.

Available in pink or black, Defuser Pepper Spray uses law enforcement strength 10% Sabre Red pepper spray, making it one of the best pepper spray available.

Extra Protection With A Large Pepper Spray

2012-09-25T21:09:00.000-05:00

Why would you need a large pepper spray? You certainly can't discreetly carry it around with you, even in a holster on your belt, unless you're a police officer or security guard.

How about keeping a large pepper spray at home? Imagine this: someone rings your bell and you open the door to find a large scummy looking dude who tries to force his way in. But you have a secret weapon!

You grab your extra large pepper spray from its holder by the door and maybe just the threat of being sprayed will send him on his way. If you do have to use it, you'll have enough to send him stumbling down your front porch, choking, coughing and wheezing. Then you call the police to pick him up. He'll be hard to miss.

What if there's more than one attacker or intruder? You'll have enough to blast them all. Your little pocket pepper spray won't last.

Other good places to keep a large pepper spray may be your garage, basement, your place of business that may be in a rough area, in your truck, wherever.

Wildfire 18% Pepper Spray is the strongest pepper spray available and comes in many sizes. Get one or more today to defend your property and yourself.

Why Carry A Small Pepper Spray?

2012-08-29T22:38:00.001-05:00

Can you imagine that there still are people who have never heard of pepper spray? Yes, there's also those who don't believe that they would ever need it.

Well, I have news for you, especially you ladies! Anyone, anywhere, anytime can be a victim, whether it’s a purse snatching or an attempt to rape you. It could be one attacker or a group. Wouldn’t you rather be prepared than sorry later? If you value your life, or the contents of your purse, which may include your wallet, money, cell phone, keys, personal identification, wouldn’t you want to stack the odds in your favor when it comes to your safety?

One of the easiest ways to defend yourself is with a small pepper spray. Many come with a detachable keychain so you can carry it with you all the time. Others can just be carried in your purse, attached to your car visor, or you can keep several in different places in your home. A small pepper spray can be disguised as a tube of lipstick, a pen, a pager, or even a ring. If you’re out on a date with a guy who turns out to be a creep, just take out your lipstick pepper spray and give him a blast.

How will pepper spray protect you? Once it’s sprayed into an attacker’s face, he will immediately start choking and gasp for air. His eyes will shut from the hot pepper solution contained in the spray. He will be in much pain. The effects will last up to 45 minutes, giving you a chance to get away and call for help. No permanent damage is done to your attacker, so you don’t have to worry about harming him.

Sometimes, just the threat of being pepper sprayed may be enough for a potential attacker to leave you alone. He’ll probably just move on to an easier target, but you’ll be safe.

Now that you know that you can carry a small pepper spray almost in a way that is known only to you, don’t you want to feel safer and more confident when you’re out? It’s like having a secret. It’s having an advantage over an attacker. It’s like winning a game.

Celebrate Your Freedom & Independence!

2012-06-25T20:16:00.000-05:00

Fourth of July is coming up next week...what a better way to celebrate your independence and freedom!

Independence means self-government, autonomy, liberty & individualism.

Freedom means liberty, free will, choice, independence and lack of restrictions.

These two important words mean that you, as a person, have the right to take care of and protect yourself. No one else is going to do it, not your government, not your neighbor, not the police. It's up to you.

Hold dear to your rights as you celebrate your own personal self defense freedom with the strongest pepper spray available, or the best stun gun or other self defense products of your choice. Don't let the criminals in this world take away your rights. Fight back with yours!

Triple Protection Pepper Spray

2012-05-23T21:26:00.001-05:00

If you're looking for a personal defense spray that delivers in more ways that one, you need to get Mace Triple Action Pepper Spray.

This unique formula combines hot pepper spray, UV dye, AND tear gas!

The hot pepper spray will cause inflammation of the eyes, and cause coughing and choking, while the tear gas will cause tearing and a burning sensation to the face. The UV dye "stains" your attacker to aid in identification later.

Several models/sizes are available, and each one has a locking top to prevent accidental spraying, and a keychain so you can carry it with you everywhere.

All this pepper spray protection for one low price!

Graduation Gift of Pepper Spray?

2012-05-11T22:54:00.001-05:00

Do you have a daughter, granddaughter, or niece who is graduating from high school this month or next, and will be going away to college in the fall? It's a scary time for everyone in the family for many reasons.

One of the scary reasons is, unfortunately, that young women aged 16-25 are the ones most likely to be raped. And the odds are that it will be by someone they know. Drinking may be involved, too.

Most girls won't report rape because they don't want to cause trouble, they're scared and embarrassed, they don't want to go through the police and legal stuff, or they may not even remember enough of what happened because they were drinking.

If they're attacked by a stranger, chances are greater of it being reported.

Either way, give your daughter, granddaughter or niece the strongest pepper spray available as a graduation gift or as a going away gift in the fall. She'll be able to carry it on her keychain at all times and she'll feel safer with it.

You'll feel better knowing she has it too.

Wildfire 18% Self Defense Pepper Spray contains a derivative of 3 Million Scoville Heat Units and is law enforcement strength. The effects are temporary but may last for up to 45 minutes. The defense spray also just can't be washed off. The UV vegetable dye will also stain the attacker, making a police identification easier if he's caught.

Why would you want to carry anything else?

What Is The Strongest Pepper Spray Available For Bears?

2012-05-02T22:30:00.001-05:00

Pepper Gel Vs. Pepper Spray

2012-04-19T20:50:00.000-05:00

Many ask about the difference between pepper spray and pepper gel.
Here are some advantages of pepper gel:

Sticks like glue to an attacker's face and skin, hard to wipe off
You don't have to worry about spraying on a windy day, no "blow back" in your face
Others around you won't be affected by spraying gel
You can use it in an enclosed area like a car, elevator, RV because it won't contaminate the air
Your aim doesn't have to be as accurate as with a pepper spray stream
Many have a longer effective range

Disadvantages:

Usually costs more

Huh, only one downside? Wouldn't you spend a bit more to get the strongest pepper spray available in gel form with all these advantages?

Sounds like a "no brainer" to me!

Super Size Me

2012-03-28T19:48:00.001-05:00

Looking for the strongest pepper spray available in the largest size you can find? How about one pound of the hottest stuff for ya?

Wildfire 18% Pepper Spray comes in many sizes, from 1/2 oz. to one pound of painful, eye-blinding, hard-to-breathe, burning sensation all over your face pepper spray defense.

Wow! The large pepper spray is available with two different nozzles. One has a pistol grip that you hold in your hand and shoot the spray by pressing the top button. The other model is gripped with your index finger through a loop, then sprayed by pressing the top flip top with your thumb.

Both of these bad boys shoot up to 20 feet, and contain enough pepper spray solution for 75 sprays. Take a few practice shots and you're still armed.

Obviously, you don't keep this gigantic pepper spray in your pocket or purse. This is great for home defense or for your car.

Why Don't Young Men Think They Need Protection?

2012-03-24T17:54:00.001-05:00

This afternoon I dropped my 19 yr. old son off at the train station, on his way back into the city after spring break, and told him to be careful, like I usually do.

He gave me the usual look and said he had his weapons with him, raising his two fists. I just shook my head and warned him again, knowing that nothing I said would really matter.

He sees no need to carry a self defense product with him because he's a young, tall, strong man. What if he was attacked by several other young, strong men with weapons? I could think of a lot of other "what if's" but I tell myself he'll be OK.

As a woman, I carry the strongest pepper spray available on my key chain, and have other "things" in my purse so I feel safer.

Maybe the constant reminders to my son will sink into his brain and will be there to help him if he needs it one day.

Mace Pepper Guns-Spray in Any Direction

2012-03-19T09:49:00.000-05:00

Mace Pepper Guns have a unique feature--due to advanced technology, they're able to spray in any direction, even upside down or sideways. These pepper guns also have a range of up to 25' so you can keep trouble at a distance.

The pepper spray gun shoots like an aerosol can, delivering a continuous flow of hot capsicum spray to your attacker. The trigger activated LED light gives you better aim and could act to disorient him.

Mace Pepper Guns come in 4 different colors so they shouldn't be mistaken for a real gun. Should an attacker laugh at your little toy gun, he'll have the last laugh, or rather the last gasp when you "shoot" him with hot pepper spray.

Pepper Mace Baton Pepper Fogger

2012-03-14T20:34:00.000-05:00

If you're looking for a self defense weapon that can do double duty, then we have what you need.

The Pepper Mace Baton Pepper Fogger is a mini baton filled with hot pepper spray that shoots out in a fog.
Use the pepper fog to defend yourself or use the defense stick it comes in like a kubaton to fight back.

The long, skinny baton comes on a key chain so you can have it with you at all times. It looks innocent enough, but only you will know what it's capable of.

Strong Pepper Spray for Men

2012-03-07T22:15:00.000-06:00

Many searches online are for the strongest pepper spray available for women because, unfortunately, women are the victims most of the time.

But there are men out there who want or need strong pepper spray also. They may work or travel in bad areas, they may drive a truck cross country all alone, they may work alone in questionable sections of a city.

Men want to feel safe also.

So for those men, there's a super large size Wildfire 18% Fogger Pepper Spray. This comes in a 9 oz size or a 1 pound size, providing lots of hot spraying power. Wildfire 18% Fogger Pepper Spray may be the strongest pepper spray available. This powerful pepper spray has a range of up to 20' to keep an attacker far away, way more than most.

Keep this large pepper spray next to you in your car or truck, on your nightstand, near your front door, in your basement or garage, or on your tool belt.

Whether you're a strong macho man type or not, protect yourself with this effective non lethal self defense product.

Double Up on Your Defense

2012-02-28T22:19:00.000-06:00

I know this blog is about pepper spray, but today I want to talk about some other self defense products you need to know about.

Sometimes having a strong pepper spray alone just won't do the job. Depending on your situation, a Compact Stun Gun or a small personal alarm will come in handy.

If you're indoors and can't use your pepper spray, your stun gun will zap your attacker. A small personal alarm has an loud ear-piercing sound that may send your attacker running away because it'll draw attention.

Having multiple self defense products increases your odds against an attack. These items can be inexpensive and are easy to use. Why not get a few?

How Many Pepper Spray Brands Are There?

2012-02-22T16:33:00.000-06:00

If you're searching for the strongest pepper spray available, you're going to go crazy looking at all the different brands, types, formulations, containers, colors...how do you choose?

Popular pepper spray brands are Sabre, Pepper Shot, Mace, Cold Steel, Inferno, Red Hot, Wildfire, Peppergard and more.

The best thing to do is to think about why you want pepper spray, where you might use it, places you would carry it, if it's nighttime or daytime, and who you might use it on.

What you may carry in your pocket or purse everyday will be different from what you would keep at home on your night stand or by your front door. If you're out at night a lot, you may want one with a glow-in-the dark button so you can see it easier.

If you travel, there's pepper spray that fits on your car visor. If you're a runner, walker or jogger, there's athletic pepper spray that wraps on your wrist.

If you're indoors, you may prefer pepper gel over spray because it won't spray back at you if it's a windy day.
Regardless of the brand, think about your use. That's the better question to ask.

What's Going On in North Dakota?

2012-02-06T22:09:00.000-06:00

I just read an article from North Dakota that shop owners are having a hard time keeping their shelves stocked....stocked with guns, pepper spray, stun guns, tasers, and other self defense items.

What's going on there? I wouldn't think of North Dakota as a high crime area, but who knows? With all the new oil/ gas drilling going on, maybe the massive influx of people who want work is also bringing the undesirables.

A few shop owners said that most of the products are either bought by women or by men for women they know. Even some of the men said they want to feel protected.

So if you are heading to that state, make sure you have your self defense products, including the strongest pepper spray available.
