though I’m not quite alright again, I’m really close to it and thus thought I should write a little update. By now my headaches have gone and I don’t think I’ve fever anymore – yeah. It’s almost scary how precise the doc nailed it, when he told me on saturday that exactly that would happen… Anyway, right now I still feel a little weak (who wonders) and my stomach has yet to join into the “I’m back and healthy state” but I’m sure it will soon Even though there’s lots to blog about, I’ll only start with one “typically Indian” story…

Episode 1

Yesterday morning I woke up as lots of noise was going on around me. If you’ve seen the pics of my apartment down here, you know that my room opens on one side to the veranda and entrance door. So barely awake I noticed at least three people standing in front of my room/door shouting/knocking. I decided simply to do nothing about it UNTIL suddenly the noise increased and there was LOTS of smoke coming into my room through all possible cracks in the wall!!! I didn’t enjoy that that much and thus fled into my bathroom… After 2-3 minutes the spook was over and I went back into my – now smoke filled – room.

Episode 2

Approximately 2 hours later my mobile rang with an unknown number – this is NOTHING NEW down here, as I don’t know why but strange Indians just like to call me 3-4 times per day, babble something in Hindi and end with HELLO?HELLO? HELLO?… So normally I tell them that they got the wrong number and hang up on them. So I did yesterday as well but the guy called again. This time I figured that he actually knew my name AND address! Still I did not understand anything he was trying to say to my except of one point when he somehow yelled at me “This is my house!”. I have to admit, I was really a bit confused but as he didn’t try it a third time, I didn’t think too much over it.

Episode 3

Well, what can I say, my poor flatmate got all the stress thereafter… Apparently our landlord called him 15 times, had him step out of a meeting and yelled at him that the foreigner had a severe illness (Dengue) and what he wanted to to about it… So my flatmate called me to inform me, that my neighborhood was about to went mad about me being sick and if somebody would call me, I should tell them to wait for Bala to come home and he would manage everything.

Episode 4

Well, coming home wasn’t that easy for poor Bala. Our landlord called him within 20 minutes about 5 times to ask where he would be and then “caught” him even before he could enter into our house… After a quite intense discussion he finally arrived at our place with a best to describe “Fuck India and these stupid Indians” message written all over his face… So, to put everything in context, what had happened?

Well, from what we know, this is what happened:

I guess, the hospital informed the authorities that they were treating a patient with the Dengue Fever. Moreover, without my permission the forwarded not only my number to the authorities but as well my address. The noise in episode one was caused by a governmental run action that sought to kill all mosquitos in the street – with some kind of smoke/spray. Doing this, my entire neighborhood freaked out pretty much as a combination of rumors and nonsense about “the sick foreigner” spread word. That caused than my 90 year old landlord to call me on the mobile, which miserably failed due to not being able to speak a proper english. As he didn’t succeeded in talking to me, he than started harassing my flatmate that ultimately had to explain to them in person that I was already doing fine, had have the best medical service you could get and would pose no thread to anybody in the neighborhood. In order to quote Bala “These fucking bored out housewives” did not know anything about Dengue but only acted under the asumption of “sick=danger=fear”. Actually our maid is working for other people in the street and they told her not to work for us anymore because of me being sick. Guess what, my maid, not speaking any english nor probably ever having had a “proper education” told the “educated housewife” that a) Dengue can only be transmitted via mosquitos and b) she would rather stop working for them than for us! Booo Ya

Alright, so that’s been yesterday. Right now I feeling fine and I guess I’ll join my friends at “the table” tomorrow again, thus FINALLY leaving this apartment

you have no idea how happy I’m just right now: Guess what, I can move out of alcatraz (TERI University’s campus) ansd move into the best apartment I’ve seen so far in Delhi which will now become my new home for the upcoming three month!!! Doesn’t my room look awesome? I think so, and I got my own bathroom, a huge living room, nice kitchen – everything! Plus Internet via WIFI, gosh I’m in heaven As my mother keeps telling: “He’s our lucky boy!” Yeah, turned out to be true again. Ok, that’s only for now, now I’m about to party a bit with my Indian friends, so I’ll tell you more tomorrow

I guess it’s going to be redundant that I start each entry with an excuse for not having writen anything lately, but I’ll try to change that soon! One month has passed so lets see what happened. Last time I told you that I was in Milan and The Hague which was really cool, though that caused some of my stress afterwards…

As I had to write four papers for the last semester and not much time aside from conferencing I didn’t manage to hand all of them in so far. This week I managed to get the more important one done and on Monday I gonna start writing the last one for last semester so that I can think of writing the first one of this semester…

After the conferences I spent two week at my moms place (ok, did some trips to Bremen, Oldenburg and Detmold as well) and enjoyed “hotel mum” quite a bit Now I’m back in Berlin since a bit less than two weeks and aside from writing the papers life’s really great. Originally I had planned to rent a truck and bring some more of my own stuff along (especially my bed…) but it turned out that that would have been so expensive that I actually could go and buy a new one here in Berlin instead… Don’t know yet whether I’ll go for that option. Anyway, after I handed in the before mentioned paper I decided to do this week all the administrative and housework stuff I had postponed during writing. After cleaning the whole apartment (took me 2 days and lots of time) now everything looks nice and shiny and I really hope it’s gonna stay that way (still have to show my flatemate what cleaning actually should be about… ). So while I had cleaned my room, it still looked like the chaos you’re all used to see at my place Guess what, I changed that yesterday! I actually bought some folders and went through all my documents flying around in a bunch of stacks of paper and put them in a logic order in the folders!!! I really can’t remember and doubt that my documents where ever organized in a similar way before… Cool thing though, I managed to find nearly EVERY document (like for examples all account statements from 2005 up to now *feeling proud*) I need to have So now my room’s not only clean, but organized – first time ever

Social life has been great as well. First weekend I met up with some friends from the conference in Milan and on Thursday I went with Charlotte and Marie to a little nice cinema (first one in Berlin I really really like) to watch “Deutschland 09″. So funny, we actually managed to fulfil all stereotypes for going out in Prenzlauer Berg: We walked or came by bike, we had a good pizza, watched a cool but highly complex, intellectual and somehow strenous movie in a little independed cinema while drinking Bionade… Today Marie is going to throw a party at her house and I’m looking forward to see all the people with funny hats (You’ve to have one to enter) I’ve borred a über cool (jep, that’s english though kind of really weird…) hat from Kyra (she’s the queen of hats!!!) and so I’m all set

Ok, last couple of words about soccer… Damn it, wasn’t that awesome on Wednesday? Gosh, if I had have a cardiac pacemaker I most definitely would have killed that thing… Too bad, the tickets for the final of the german supercup are already gone That would have been my second time watching Werder in the Olympia Stadium, as I was there last Sunday (though that wasn’t really successful…) Anyway, now I’m heading over to my favorite sportsbar here in Berlin, the Alois S. where a bunch of cracy green dressed people use to scream and argue (including me up front) about eleven people that run behind a little ball…

2008 is coming to an end and thus I wish you a happy new year! I hope you will enjoy 2009 healthy and happily and I’m looking forward to have a lot of fun with you guys! But before moving on to 2009, I thought I would give you a rough overview over “my” 2008 and would like to thank some people that supported me throughout the year

For me, 2008 was a year with a lot of challenges, changes and ups and downs. Celebrating the new year in Paris turned out to be quite lame and was a little disappointing. Back then, I had no idea how my life was about to change. After having finished my Erasmus-Semester in February, I started searching for an internship which turned out to be quite difficult. But I was lucky and got the best one ever: UNEP. Working for the United Nationes Environment Programme not only gave me the chance to get an insight into international environment politics, but also helped me planning my future: Caring about the environment, that’s what my life is going to be all about! Besides I got to know sooo many awesome people from all across the world – not only at UNEP, but in Paris in general – that enlarged not only my list of friends but provided me with a fantastic insight into different cultures, lifestyles and viewpoints. I didn’t need long to understand that working for UNEP – being treated as an consultant while paid as an intern – meant a hell lot of work to do. The job challenged me in a way I had not been challenged for a long time but gave me on the other side a lot of great opportunities to learn, understand and gain experience. After I had prolonged my internship until the end of june, the july back in germany challenged me in a quite different way.

Over the course of the year in Paris, a lot of stuff had happened and now some things waited for me back home that had to be dealt with. I had to fight various administrative obstacles on my way to finish my Bachelor and apply for a Master programme. Meanwhile I had to deal with another big issue: The rupture of my cruciate ligament, which I got back in May in Paris. Seeing myself in the middle of writing my study for UNEP/Bachelorthesis, moving out of my appartement in Bremen, searching for an appartement in Berlin and a couple of holidays I had planned way before my timemangement went out of the window, I decided to skip the needed operation until I would be settled in Berlin with time to do it. Shortly before I flew to Irland, I managed to get my Bachelorthesis done and thus could relaxe, but just to a certain extent, as I still had no appartement in Berlin. Nevertheless being back in Germany, I had one week to move from Bremen to Osnabrück, as I then flew over to Spain in order to make a little roundtrip and visit some friends. I enjoyed it very much and it was one of my best holidays so far!

Back in Germany I travelled to Berlin in order to find a place to stay. That turned out to be as difficult as it had been one year before in Paris, the only difference was that I stayed at different places from friends while I had stayed in a cheap hostel in Paris. As you know, just like in Paris, the appartement I’m now living in found me. Besides all that trouble, university started not as smooth as expected, bearing in mind that I changed the programme I was enrolled in three times until I was finally excepted for the one I wanted to do so badly: “Master of public and private environmental management”. Being a registerd student and having found an appartement, a couple of days later I had my operation in order to fix the rupture of my cruciate ligament. As always, something went wrong and instead of going home I had to spent a couple of days in a hospital. But rest assured, since then I’m doing very well and my knee is not only about to look normal again, but feel and act! I guess this is for me the most important thing in 2008, as health stands way above everything else Even though I still miss Paris, Berlin feels now more or less “home” and I’m looking forward to take a little more advantage of social life going on in town, as I’m now longer “handicapped”…

Speaking of which, I would like to express once again how grateful I’m for some people that helped me very much this year and need therefore to be named:

- first and foremost my family for helping me in every possible way,
- Nadine, as I would not study what I study now without her outstanding help,
- Kyra, as she has been the person that helped me most getting started in Berlin
- Stella and Stefan, for providing me with a roof over my head when I needed one
- Sylvia, for taking care of me after my operation
- and all the others I did not mention by name but where still there helping me

While I lost some friends over the last year , I got new ones and some relationships turned out to be stronger than expected. I do know that this year was not always easy with me (mainly because I have had so much to do and no time for you guys), but I’m really thankful to have you as my friends and I promise, in 2009 I will be there for you as you have been for me in 2008

as you guys noticed, the last couple of weeks/months were really tough and I had time for nothing but the stuff that had to be done. Accordingly I thought it might be a good idea to explain to you what has actually happened.

Basically everything started back in April, when I had that big Conference on „Resource Efficiency“ in Paris and worked my ass off so that would run smooth. It did and was really really great but ever since then my time-management got a bit off limits. While I worked a lot for UNEP on many different things, I didn‘t manage to start writing my study as planned. Besides I got a rupture of my cruciate ligament at the end of May that put even more stress on me. As the last couple weeks in Paris were flooded with work as well as with everyday farewell-parties or other stuff, I wasn‘t home for more than 8h each day and thus had trouble to find time to wash my cloths (washing machine needed 3h…).

When I came back to Germany at the end of June I thought I could start right away with the study so that I wouldn‘t run into problems with deadlines on the study and my Bachelor Thesis. Well, as always, it turned out different and I had to spend the first two weeks on „administrative stuff“ by what I mean lots of university related issues, be it in Bremen or Berlin. I had to spend lots of time on travel and saw a couple of docs to see what I could and should do about my knee. After two weeks doing everything but writing I started and didn’t stop for the following 6 weeks. I wrote wrote/worked each day more than 11h – normally more! I wouldn’t stop before I had written the points I had on my agenda for the day and thus managed to write a study comprising out of more than 100 pages that I would regard as the most comprehensive literature you can get about the metals topic as of today

While writing I had to find a place to stay in Berlin as I knew I wouldn’t have time to do it in September. As I was searching for flat-shares, a friend of mine called me and offered me to move with her and two other people in an apartment she wanted to overtake from friends of her. We had a look at the apartment and it was just perfect. Thus I went back home writing and left the “organizational” part to my friend until she called and said that the landlord wanted to have 300€ more than before! As that would have been way above our limit, I found myself back in September without an apartment in Berlin knowing that I wouldn’t have any time to search for an alternative before October…

But back to the study, I received the comments from colleagues and my boss at UNEP at the end of August and started to include them into my study as far as possible. Having in mind that I would have to shorten my study down to 50 pages in order to hand it in as my Bachelor Thesis I sorted the remarks and included the ones I found important. Without telling you the whole and long story (I managed to shorten the 100 pages down to 60 in one day!), I ended up mailing my Bachelor Thesis at half past two on a Monday morning in Belfast to my flat-mate Christian in Bremen who printed and delivered it to my Professor (Thank you SO much for that)!

I guess I never ever worked so hard on my birthday on the 4th of September as this year but I had to, as I had booked a flight to Ireland for Friday the 5th. I had booked that way before all the trouble came up and so no choice but to be finished by then – as you read, I didn’t quite manage… I went to Boyle (In the middle of nowhere in West-Ireland) to visit Imke who did an internship over there. After two very nice days with her and her friend Chathy I took a bus to Sarah who lives in Belfast I spend three wonderful days with her and her very nice family and other friends of ours and enjoyed Belfast very much. On Wednesday I had planned a 9h trip by train and ferry to Oxford that ended up in a 22h trip as the ferry didn’t operate due to bad weather conditions… I arrived accordingly at a quarter past eight on Thursday in Oxford where Leonie waited for me After a couple awesome days with her I flew back to Bremen on the following Saturday, went to Osnabrück on Sunday and came back to Bremen on Monday in order to move out of my apartment in Bremen until Friday.

As in the weeks before, I didn’t got much sleep in Ireland and the UK but had to work my ass off to get my stuff to my family in Osnabrück, clean not only my room but the whole apartment and paint my door and room in white… Everybody who’s ever been at my place in Bremen might have a slight idea of how much work that was… Actually I didn’t sleep for two nights, as I had to paint the walls over and over! As a result I couldn’t do all the cleaning that had been demanded so I actually lost 80€ of my deposit due to not fulfilling the demand completely!

As tough as it was, I left the apartment on Saturday morning and drove with my friend Andre to Hannover, in order to catch our flight to Valencia. Back in Paris we had booked that flight and planned a little round-trip through Spain. We spend the first two days in Valencia and then rented a car and drove down to Granda where we spend another two nights. After having passed a day at the Costa del Sol, Torre del Mare and Malaga we arrived in Cordoba. While we had a reservation for the first night, the second turned out to be a little bit more “improvised” We had planned to drive to Belen, a friend of ours in Madrid, but she had informed us that her parents wouldn’t leave before Saturday morning so we couldn’t come earlier… Plan B was then to party with my friends from Paris, Alba, Mila, Paloma, Helena and other nice folks in Cordoba until four in the morning in order to see the time passing by After a little “night-photo-shooting” (you know, there’s one bidge that so photogenic at night… ) I took the challenge and drove towards Madrid for the next two hours! After all I had to pay tribute to my constant lack of sleep and thus we stopped at a gas station for taking a two hours nap. Two hours later we arrived save in Madrid and spend 3 awesome days there After a nice weekend we drove back on Monday and arrived in Valencia at midnight. After these fantastic days I had to suffer under very bad pain in the stomach and had to spend the day at Manu’s place, where we stayed. The following Wednesday, the first of October, we flew back to Germany that welcomed us with rainy cold typical German weather that stood in direct contrast to the sunshine and degrees between 23-28° that we’ve had in Spain…

Being back in Germany things went crazy. I had to spend the first three weeks at friend’s places (Stella, Stefan and especially Kyra, I owe you guys sooooooooo much) as I neither found a flat-share that wanted me nor a nice apartment to start up a new flat-share But yesterday brought the sunshine back in my life. I received a call on Sunday evening from a Lady that offered me her apartment, I checked it out yesterday and moved in the very same day Today I got the Internet and W-Lan running so I’m more than happy! The apartment is located right at the station “Hackescher Markt” (the entrance is less than 30m away!!!), has an elevator to the apartment in the third floor and is fully furnished For now, I can stay for two month with the option to stay longer! In short: I’M SOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY

While it’s so good to be able to say, “this is my place” (which I couldn’t do since I left Paris) and having my very own key, the best thing is that we’ve an elevator, as my knee is going to be operated on Tuesday! As a result I’ll have to walk with crutches for the next three weeks and thus depend very much on elevators and escalators!

Okay, while the operation will largely influence the upcoming weeks, I’ll finish my study and try to get my “student-life” back on track. Speaking of which, I almost forgot the trouble I had to register and deregister for university three respectively two… But now I’m studying what I ever wanted to study: “Public and Private Environmental Management” and I just LOVE IT!!!

Okay, as you probably know by now, I’m so damn happy right now that everything finally turns out to work the way it should and thus I really hope I’ll find now the time to catch up with you guys again!

I’M REALLY REALLY SORRY for not being very responsive over the course of the last couple month but I guess after having read all this you might have a slight idea why I just could not answer all your emails, calls or whatsoever. I really didn’t mean to leave you in the dark but I sadly had just NO TIME

Okay, that’s it for today I’m now going to enjoy the hopefully successful soccer game of Bremen against Athens and will afterwards celebrate the victory of Obama over McCain!

I’m pround to announce: FINALLY I’m now officially registered as a student @ FU Berlin within the Master’s Programm of “Public and Private Environmental Management”! Hurray, that was a loooooooooooooong way to go, BUT I’ve had my last class for this week so I’m able to comment on the programm for this semester: Awesome! It’s just fantastic to look at the ountlines of the four courses I’ve to take and think “Yeah, I really wanna do it”! In general this semester seems to be like a welcome-semester for me, as I do have the feeling that I could just talk out of the blue about the majority of issue we gonna be dealing with and thus this will be very easy for me Apart from being happy with University stuff, I do really have problemes with my knee right now. As most of you know I got a rupture of my cruciate ligament back in may and still had no operation. As I travelled lately a lot in Irland, the UK and Spain, I assume that was a bit too much of action for my knee Accordingly right now is walking = pain But I’ll call the doc tomorrow and hope I’ll get an appointement as soon as possible. Besides I’m still searching for a nice appartement in Berlin. Until tuesday I stayed at Kyra’s place while I’m now at Stella’s. Tragically Stella got no Internet so far thus I’m kind of disconnected to the rest of the or to be precise “my” world Anyway, University stuff is nearly done so I can put all my energy into the appartement-research issue from now on

Ok, as I’m running out of electricity (while sitting in a bar where folks around me smoke… ) I’ve to end here for now.

nur kurz mal eben ein kleines Lebenszeichen… Ich bin zur Zeit in Valencia und habe schon zwei tolle Tage mit Andre bei seinem Kumpel Manu verbracht Morgen geht’s nach Granada, dann weiter nach Cordoba – wo ich alle meine Erasmus-Mädels endlich wiedersehe – und dann nach Madrid um noch mehr Erasmus-Leute zu treffen Von da aus geht’s dann zurück nach Valencia und am 1.10. dann wieder zurück ins kalte Deutschland… Meiner einer genießt hier 30° und Sonne am Strand… So, morgen wird dann das Auto abgeholt und dann geht die Reise los! Herrlich, DAS sind Ferien Habe ich mir aber auch verdient, nachdem ich die komplette letzte Woche damit beschäftigt war, aus Bremen auszuziehen… Möbel nach Osna schaffen, Zimmer streichen (2 mal, weil nach erstem Mal nicht wirklich weiß… ), Tür streichen (schnief, mein Kunstwerk…) und die ganze WG putzen… Anders ausgedrückt, habe im Durchschnitt 4 Stunden pro Nacht geschlafen und mal eindeutig mehr gemacht, als für meinen morschen Körper gut war (was ich dann am Knie/Handgelenk gemerkt habe… ) Naja, jetzt bin ich ja hier in Spanien, hab den ganzen Stress hinter mir und lass mir die Sonne auf meinen Pelz scheinen… Naja, dass ich Quark-Tasche so richtig braun werde, wage ich eher zu bezweifeln, aber so ein bissl Farbe habe ich schon (und sei es rot vom Sonnenbrand auf der Nase… ). OK, sitze bei Manu im Flur und surfe über das offene W-Lan des Nachbarn, werde jetzt ins Bett gehen, damit ich morgen nicht in irgendwelchen spanischen Leitplanken ende…

P.S.: “Jüüüüüüüüüüüüürgeeeeeeeeeeeeeen Kliiiiiiiiiinsmaaaaaaaaaaaannnn” schallte es am Samstag von den Rängen der Allianz-Arena – von den Werder-Fans Hehe, war das ein Fest, besser konnte der Urlaub gar nicht anfangen! Da haben die Bremer Jungs ja mal endlich gezeigt, wie schöner Fussball gespielt wird!

da bin ich also wieder – zurück in Deutschland! Habe nach dem Stress der letzten Wochen und Monate nun endlich ein paar sehr sehr geniale Tage bei Imke in Boyle (Republik Irland), Sarah in Belfast (Nordirland) und Leonie in Oxford (England) verbracht und bin nun seit ein paar Stunden nach einem kurzen Zwischenstopp in Bremen in Osnabrück. Hier hab ich mir heute Abend ein Gospel-Konzert angeguckt, wo meine Schwester mitgesungen hat! Sehr genial! Hat zwar ein bisschen gedauert, bis die steifen Deutschen im Theater aus ihren Sesseln raus und in Bewegung gekommen sind, aber am Ende waren alle am Singen und Klatschen So, wenn ich dazu komme, erzähl ich euch in den nächsten Tagen mal etwas mehr zum Stress der letzten Wochen, meiner Irland & UK-Reise und so weiter und so fort… Morgen geht’s wieder nach Bremen, wo ich meinen Auszug regeln muss (Möbel nach Osnabrück, Zimmer & Tür streichen, WG komplett putzen ) und dann hoffe ich, meine Wohnungs-/WG-Suche in Berlin diese Woche auch irgendwie etwas erfolgreicher als bisher gestalten zu können… Denn “Home” ist momentan ein recht dehnbarer Begriff – weder in Bremen noch in Osnabrück fühle ich mich gerade so richtig “zu hause”, da ich mich nach Paris auch einfach noch nicht wieder richtig irgendwo konstant einleben konnte und hoffe nun, bald in Berlin mich niederlassen und neu anfangen zu können!

Gut, soviel kurz von mir, bin immer noch ziemlich übermüdet durch den konstanten Schlafmangel der letzten Wochen und werde jetzt mal etwas Energie tanken…

zum Ende der Woche hier mal ein kurzer Statusbericht. Wie ihr sicher gemerkt habt, bin ich ehrlich und echt nur noch ziemlich schwer zu erreichen (ICQ, Skype, Twitter und sonstiges Web 2.0 Gedöns ist abgeschaltet) und konzentriere mich darauf, meine Studie irgendwie fertig zu schreiben. Nach nun etwas mehr als 25 Seiten habe ich das Gefühl, dass a) meine Punkte nur gaaaaaaaaaaaaaanz langsam weniger werden und b) eine UN-Studie doch etwas andere Anforderungen stellt als eine Bachelorarbeit. Dies hat vor allem damit zu tun, dass alles, was ich schreibe, durch international anerkannte Quellen belegen muss. Dazu kommt, dass ich, wenn ich im Namen der UN schreibe, aufpassen muss, mich nicht zu sehr auf bestimmte Aussagen festzulegen. So kann es sein, dass ein und der selbe Sachverhalt von Regierung, Industrie und NGOs jeweils völlig verschieden bewertet werden. Dies sollte also dann auch so in meiner Studie zum Ausdruck kommen. Drahtseilakt oder Diplomatie auf höchster Ebene… Naja, wenn auch langsam, habe ich doch das Gefühl, voran zu kommen und es ist schön festzustellen, dass das, was man schreibt, auch Sinn macht… Gut, das dazu.

Kurz unterbrochen wurde mein Tun gestern durch eine kurzen Aufenthalt in Bremen und dessen Folgen für heute… Da meine Zwischenmieterin Annika gestern ausgezogen ist, war ich morgens nach Bremen gefahren um die Schlüssel zu übernehmen, mein Zimmer in Augenschein zu nehmen und die Kaution zurückzugeben. Darüber hinaus wollte ich “mal so nebenbei” noch meine Praktikumsberichte für den DAAD und die Uni selbst abgeben. Während ich in ersterem Fall den Bericht einfach in den Briefkasten werfen konnte, lief ich in Letzterem meiner Praktikumsbeauftragten in die Arme, bei der ich den Bericht abgeben wollte. Diese regte sich zu meiner Überraschung ziemlich auf und meinte es sei eine Unverschämtheit, dass ich jetzt erst mit dem Bericht ankommen würde, wo sie doch groß angekündigt hätte, dass sie morgen in den Urlaub gehen würde! Äh ja, genau, und jetzt mal eben auf den Bericht zu gucken und zu sagen, passt, geht dann nicht mehr, oder wie? Naja, ich habe gedacht, sei’s drum und mich entschuldigt und darauf gehofft, dass sie den Bericht doch noch liest, für ok befindet, und das dann ans Prüfungsamt meldet damit ich mich dann auch mal zur Bachelorarbeit anmelden kann…

Tja, was soll ich sagen. Heute morgen fiel ich dann buchstäblich aus allen Wolken, nachdem ich in meinem E-Mail Postfach eine Mail vorfand, in der mein Bericht als “absolut unverfrorene Dreistigkeit” die ihr in “5 Jahren BA” noch nicht untergekommen sei, eingeordnet wurde Uups, was war denn nun schon wieder los Gut, kurze Zeit später hatte ich herausgefunden, dass die Uni entgegen meiner Annahme keinen Erfahrungsbericht à la DAAD (Reisevorbereitung, Tipps für die Stadt, Bank, etc.) haben wollte, sondern eine “theoretisch-praktische Verbindung zwischen Praktikum und Studium” herausgearbeitet haben wollte Ja gut, da die gute Frau ab Montag in Urlaub geht und auch erst Ende August wiederkommt (ich mich somit erst Ende September zur BA Arbeit hätte anmelden können) habe ich mich an den Rechner geklemmt und in vier Stunden einen neuen Bericht nach den gewünschten Vorgaben erstellt In der schwachen Hoffnung, sie damit zufriedenstellen zu können, habe ich ihr diesen dann geschickt und siehe da, es läuft! Sie hat doch echt noch kurz drauf geguckt, das Ding für akzeptabel gefunden und eine Mail ans Prüfungsamt geschickt, dass ich das Pflichtpraktikum inkl. Bericht abgeleistet habe! Juhu, damit kann ich mich dann nächste Woche auch zur BA Arbeit anmelden Man, das war knapp! Aber wie sag ich immer so schön, 1. irgendwie wird’s schon klappen und 2. wer nett und sachlich bleibt gewinnt am Ende!

Joa, damit ist mein Tag dann für heute gerettet und gleich geht’s mit Jochen in guter alter Tradition wie jeden Freitag in die BarCelona

auch wenn ich zwar bis gerade Fussball geguckt habe, geht es mir in diesem Fall NICHT darum. Die Meldung des Tages: Ich bleibe nun definitiv bis Ende Juni! Hab am Montag mit meinem Chef gesprochen (der mich sowieso schon dafür eingeplant hatte: “Ja klar, das Büro ist für dich schon weiter reserviert!” ) und mit meinem Prof, der ja bisher noch von nix wusste Klappt aber alles so, wie ich mir das gedacht hab. Kann also die Studie für die UN als Bachelorarbeit schreiben (und umgekehrt) und komme somit auch zeitmäßig hin – vorausgesetzt mein Chef kommt nicht wieder auf die Idee, dass ich “mal eben” das Background Paper für ne Konferenz in zwei Wochen bis “heute um fünf” schreiben soll Dann bleibt nämlich nicht wirklich Zeit für alles andere Gut, meine Vermieterin hat mir eben auch geschrieben, dass ich hier weiter wohnen kann, also alles in Butter und so wie geplant Fein, so soll das sein!
