It has been a calling all my life to work with older people. I guess I just have a heart for them. We have people in all different stages of health. There is an area of our home that has people living there that really don’t need too much help yet. They are at the stage where they can no longer live by themselves, but need someone close by just in case anything happens where they might need assistance. Then there are people who roll around in wheel chairs needing assistance getting to the cafeteria and in and out of bed. Lastly there are people who are totally bedridden or who have Alzheimer’s and don’t know who or what they are talking about. When I first bought this place I was more interested in running the business and saving money like getting our electricity payments down through Reliant Energy. But now that I have been here a while, I have grown to love the people that live here. You can learn so much from older people. Some of them may have bodies that have worn out, but their minds are still very sharp. Those are the people I enjoy being around the most.

New development

So, I realized today that its almost the end of October. And I thought, What am I going to do this winter. I have decided to try some winter sports despite my fibromyalgia. I just hope I don't break anything while im trying to.I called around and asked where we were going to take our trip to, we decided on Canada. Awesome, I can not wait to go and see how it is there. I started searching around for equipment that we are going to need. What better than a site that is from Canada, yes I am weird like that! So I have thought about doing some downhill skiing. With the site that I found, the prices are awesome, I found the right equipment to do downhill skiing. The Over the Counter medication that worked were: Ginseng (Energy) Mucinex (pain) Duirex (pain) B 100 Complex (Energy) and Tylenol PM (insomnia).

My pain killers arent completely working, I still have alot of pain, that is where the Duirex comes in during the day, I use the Mucinex through the night when I wake up in pain. Chronic muscle pain, muscle spasms or tightness, weakness in the limbs, and leg cramps
Moderate or severe fatigue and decreased energy
Insomnia or waking up feeling just as tired as when you went to sleep
Stiffness upon waking or after staying in one position for too long
Difficulty remembering, concentrating, and performing simple mental tasks (“fibro fog”)
Abdominal pain, bloating, nausea, and constipation alternating with diarrhea (irritable bowel syndrome)
Tension or migraine headaches
Jaw and facial tenderness
Sensitivity to one or more of the following: odors, noise, bright lights, medications, certain foods, and cold
Feeling anxious or depressed
Numbness or tingling in the face, arms, hands, legs, or feet
Increase in urinary urgency or frequency (irritable bladder)
Reduced tolerance for exercise and muscle pain after exercise
A feeling of swelling (without actual swelling) in the hands and feet
Painful menstrual periods
Dizziness

Fibromyalgia symptoms may intensify depending on the time of day -- morning, late afternoon, and evening tend to be the worst times, while 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. tends to be the best time. Symptoms may also get worse with fatigue, tension, inactivity, changes in the weather, cold or drafty conditions, overexertion, hormonal fluctuations (such as just before your period or during menopause), stress, depression, or other emotional factors.

If the condition is not diagnosed and treated early, symptoms can go on indefinitely, or they may disappear for months and then recur.
Taken from:

Hello Again

It has been a few months since I have posted on here, i became uninterested in this blog. It was a late diagnoses. I have had fibromyalgia since after the birth of my first son. Which was over 5 years ago. I was living with this horrible disease for over 4 years before someone realized I had it.

Along with the rest of the population that also has fibromyalgia. I have done my time searching google and other websites looking for at home things to help my condition. And after trying atleast 10 of them. Only a few actually worked.

This blog is to inform and help people with the same condition I have. My goal is to find the right over the counter treatment to help our FMS. So if you have any comment or suggestions. Then please post a comment. Along with whatever comment you post.
