Merry Christmas to everybody from me and my sister Karra.

I know I haven't blogged in a month, but there has been quite a few releases, the announcements went out to the fashion groups and to our many subscribers. There just weren't enough hours in the day the past 2 months to do everything I should have done or wanted to create. Unfortunately blogging went by the wayside.

On the plus side... sis and I have had the most fun Christmas season in SL to date.

Everyone seemed to really enjoy our Winter Holiday Village sim and I want to thank everyone who came to share their time with us there, we enjoyed all of you!

If you haven't been to the village yet, I invite you to visit before we move it in the coming weeks and begin to transition it into a late winter early spring design. Thank you to LindenLabs who made us their first wintertime activities sim an Editor's Pick for 2011.

Thank you to I...Pad (aka Padraig Ashbourne) for writing a beautiful feature article about our village in the BOSL (Best of SL magazine's December 1, 2011 edition, accompanied by the beautiful photographs taken by Sav Lanzet.

Thank you to Kerhop Seattle who photographed our sim in panaramic 360 degree views that are breathtaking.

I would also like to thank our retinue of elves who strove to meet, greet and cheer our visitors. EvilCherry, Clohie, Kimmie, & LisaLite were always full of of elven charm.

I would like to thank my real life fiance & secondlife partner, Sutra Kish for tirelessly spending much of his well earned vacation time pinch hitting for Santa Claus. He did a marvelous job. Love that man of mine! :)

Lastly, I want to thank Karra Babii (my real life & SL sister) who put up with me and my whims of fancy for this sim development, working through things with me til they happened or tirelessly explaining to me why they couldn't. LOL In either event, the result was full of old fashioned charm we wanted. Couldn't have done without you sis. Love you big time.

Most important rule - HAVE FUN WITH THIS! MAKE A MEMORY!
No entry fee.
No popularity voting. Judges are Mairead Fitzgerald, Sutra Kish and Karra Babii.
No nudity whatsoever.
Entrant must be at least 30 days old at time of submission.
One image to be submitted per week per contestant.
Image can be photoshopped. Image can be a straight SL snapshot. Use of Windlight settings are your choice.

Image must show you wearing or using one item from us and/or our paticipating Winter Holiday Village Merchants (f any).
Image must be taken utilizing the assigned area for that particular week. Each Location is annouced the 1st day of each contest week. See scheule above/below.
Image MUST be renamed WHV Contest WEEK #(number here) Name ntot required. It is in the picture properties.
Image is to be given to Mairead Fitzgerald ONLY.
Image must be FULL permission.
By submitting to the contest, you& all others , if any, in the photo, agree to allow us to post your image Flickr group WinterSL. http://www.flickr.com/groups/wintersl/, the subscriber group, our syndicated blog & signs at the shoot location.

Deadline for each week is on Saturday evening by 11:59 PM SLT.

Judging will be held the next day, Sunday, and winner annouced that evening.
Judges, their alts, employees, merchants in residence & their staff are not eligible to participate.

Winner annoucement will be in the subscriber group (no group required subscriber is located at the front of the Magic of Christmas Shop) and image will be posted to the Flickr group and the subscriber group announcements.

A weekly winner will be awarded $1000L until the contest ends December 24, 2011. If mutliple people are in the pose, the $L prize is awarded to the person who submits the image to Mairead.   Submitter must have an active SecondLife Account on the prize day to accept funds. Prize money is in LINDEN DOLLARS ONLY.

The weeks winner will be displayed around the sim in the location the picture was shot for that week.

It is our humble opinion the sim is best seen with setting close to sunset or midnight. Particles maxed to 8096. Atmospheric shaders off unless using windlight. However, this is your artistic choice.

Additional poses may be available in each contest area for 1 week. To turn off unused poses type /1 hide or to show /1 show

Christmas Season at Winter Holiday Village 2011

It's here! It's live! After a few weeks of going back & forth with LindenLabs, the sim is now running properly and now gone are the rolling lag spikes. YAY! So without further ado....

I would like to invite everyone to the prettiest winter sim on the grid. Winter Holiday Village. Our mantra for the season is "MAKE A MEMORY!" so bring your friends and your loved ones to create a magical moment. Below are some pics of key areas on the sim, we hope you enjoy them all!

Lots to see, do and share here. Take a horse drawn carriage ride, ice skate, walk, sled, ski, or hot air balloon around the sim and on your travels find an assortment of gifts* for both guys and gals scattered about the sim. This is NOT a hunt, merely a casual way for you to both discover Winter Holiday Village and receive a few early gifts*.

* gifts: these items were released last winter holiday season at Winter Holiday 2010, however, they are still timely and terrific quality. So if you missed them last year or you weren't in SecondLife last holiday season, come and get them. These will be available all season long.

New gift releases officially begin December 1st.

Mrs. Santa Claus begins her 2011 Storytelling sessions for young & old Nov. 15th.
Santa Claus returns December 1st and will be at the North Pole for hearing your holiday wishes and free Santa on Lap pictures to add to your photo albums to cherish for years to come.

Karra has been quite the busy bee this week and showcasing mucho grande goodies with a wiccan flair.     All the items below are currently rezzed on the sim so you can check them out first hand before you buy.

First off she has TWO count 'em TWO new scenic sets. These can be used as skyboxes or used on land, with or without the surroudning scenic box.   Both come with a rezzer. Both are COPY/NO MOD/NO TRANSFER.

... this wiccan RP scene is set amongst the ruins, ala Stonehenge-ish. Also included is a centrally positioned cauldron (also scripted with boiling brew, steam & fire) but with a raven a top, touch it for a delicate flurry of silver stars. I haven't had a multi-functional release in since before the winter holidays. It was time! So without further ado I present to you DALLAS.

This outfit comes with 46 pieces. All clothing layers are covered. Everything you see on the two Pictures above is included except ME, BOOTS and JEWELRY.

Sooooo WHERE IS THE HUNT?

There are 25 silver keys throughout the sim to find.
As you find them, touch the key, you will be notifed of how many keys you have found.
After findling all 25 keys return to the Treasure Chest near the landing zone and touch it. The Treasure Chest will give you a folder containing the boxed outfit.

HUNT UPDATE - I moved a few keys to make them easier to find. :) They are still in the same area they were before, just easier to spot. Key 11 in the ballroom was tricky for some, especially Mac users so I lowered it to sit on the floor rather than inside the sphere. AND as always if you find yourself stuck IM me. I am more than happy to give you hints for the hunt. :)

AS ALWAYS... I have the item available for sale inside my shop at a 50% discount during the hunt. On January 2, 2011 the hunt is over and the reduced early release pricing is over.
