The synopsis of the anthology is as follows: Twisted Trails is an anthology of weird western flash fiction stories. Twenty stories of one thousand words or less tinging the wild west with tales of horror, dark fantasy, and dark science fiction from a talented group of flash fiction authors.

While I haven’t had much to announce the last few months on newly released stories, this is the first of three anthologies that I’ll be featured in this year and I’ve got a lot of other work out there as well! This anthology is a drabble (100-word story) anthology and contains three of my works, all quite different!

‘Chronos 2: An Anthology of Time Drabbles’ was released today (February 20th, 2025) and contains three of my drabbles! The three found within are: “Cheese, Clocks, and Chronological Chaos”, “Temporal Socks”, and “The Inescapable Moment.”

This anthology is the sequel to ‘Chronos’ which had the same theme and was released back in 2018 and contained two of my drabbles.

The synopsis for this anthology is: “Chronos 2 is an anthology of drabbles (a story told in exactly one-hundred words) themed around time. Sixty-six stories of time, time travel, time zones, time manipulation, flash-forwards, space-time, time freezes, and so many other variations on the theme.”

I haven’t been finishing my writing or submitting that much as of late. Most of my time has been spent working on a few novels and novellas that are works in progress. So, I’m thrilled to announce that one of the things I submitted WAS released in print last month and I apparently never got around to posting about it here.

On September 24th of 2024, ‘Yabblins 2’ was released and includes my short: “The Elysium Drift”
The description of the anthology is: “Number two…

The first time around, we received so many impressive, original stories that we decided to do it again.

There is some great stuff here. Unintentionally, you’re going to come across a lot of animals (both real and imaginary) as you make your way through these tales. There are stories about harpies, dragons, bears, and dinosaurs and my personal favourite… a giant, man-eating beaver…”

For my story, honestly, the cover artwork really guided my tale. I saw it and thought to myself, what would make a robot and a human end up dancing together, which really put my mind down a path that I wasn’t expected. What was neat for this story on acceptance is that I was told “No changes were made to your work besides the usual conversion of some spellings to the Australian standard” which is always awesome to hear.

Black Hare press put a lot of effort into trying to inspire authors at the beginning of the pandemic lockdown and created a variety of anthologies coming out across multiple genres. While I didn’t participate in most of these, I did want to get a fantasy story submitted in the world that I’ve been crafting, and this release includes ‘Jossep’s Delivery.’ It centers around Jossep, who is a character that is important in some of the longer works that I’m in the middle of writing.

Hello all! I have some more drabble out in the world. It’s been a while since I’ve published a full short though that will hopefully become clear as to why later this year. I am notorious for doing a bad job at listing my releases over the past year. So, I’m thrilled to share that I had 3 wintertime drabbles (100-word stories) featured in the anthology ‘Winter Shocks’ from Black Ink Fiction. The three are, “The Night Before The End”, “Yule Be Sorry”, and “The Naughty List.” The first two were directly Santa related while the third, actually is related to the dark westerns that I’ve penned a few of. ‘Chronos: An Anthology of Time Drabbles’ was originally released in 2018 and Shacklebound Books has just re-released this anthology with a new cover. The digital cover is already on the market, and the full wrap of the physical cover can be seen here and should be available shortly. This collection includes 2 of my drabbles (100-word stories) related to time.

The drabbles included are “Good Luck Back There Eve” and “The Prophecy of Byrek.” While the first drabble is entirely standalone, “The Prophecy of Byrek” directly includes one of the major players in the fantasy world that I’ve been building out. It will likely later be featured in a collection I am slowly planning out and play a pivotal part in how one of the major story lines play out.

Well folks, another world I’ve been slowly working on creating is a fantasy realm and we’re making another visit to it in Black Hare Press’s ‘Reign’.
