Happy day! Our eco highlighter pencils finally arrived from Austria (later than expected, but we are thrilled anyway). They are amazing – we’ll never use a plastic liquid highlighter pen again.

Glob Paints have arrived!

Yippee! Our order of Glob Paints arrived yesterday! We are super excited to offer these new, eco-friendly and biodegradable paints made from all natural ingredients and botanical pigments crafted from natural colors found in vegetables, fruits, flowers, herbs, roots and spices. They are safe, non-toxic, vegan, gluten free, soy free, and and you can be assured there are no petrochemicals, VOCs or other toxins.

We have two options available:

Glob Natural Paint Set in ready-to-use 1 oz. jars with 6 vibrant colors: blue, yellow, red, green, orange, purple

Glob Natural Blends Paint packets. Simply add water to make the 6 colors: Lemon Verbena, Tangerine, Berry Blue, Basil Green, Pomegranate, and Plum Purple (the paints do not contain any preservatives. For best results, mix per project. Left over paint should be refrigerated.)

Glob Paints are made in USA!

Teacher Appreciation!

May already? Totally unbelievable – it seems like yesterday we were bundled up to build snowmen in the front yard, and now it’s time to plant the vegetable garden. Summer brings the end of school and as excited as we are, looking forward to long days full of popsicles and picnics on the lawn, we are also sad to be saying ‘goodbye’ to our teachers that have helped us during the past nine months.

I often walk into my daughter’s classroom, see her smiling teacher, and wonder at how she copes with the chaos of nearly 20 five-year-olds day in and day out. I always make a point to thank her for the time she spends teaching my child that day, but now that the year is almost over, I find myself thinking of other ways to show my gratitude.

Now… I know I’m a little biased, but Stubby Pencil Studio has a LOT of great products to remind our teachers just how much we appreciate all their hard work during the school year. Here are some of my personal favorites and things that I’m SURE my daughter’s teachers will love:

WoolPets – they’re here!

We are totally excited – our WoolPets have arrived. They’re wool needle felting kits with everything you’ll need to make an adorable wool pet. A great gift idea for less than $20! The kits are made in USA – Suquamish, Washington to be exact – by Laurie Sharp and the wool comes from her small flock of sheep. Suggested age is 12+, but younger children can make them with the help and close supervision of an adult.
