This is a documentary short directed by twenty-four sixth-grade students at Sierra Expeditionary Learning School in Truckee, California. The students photographed, created the artwork and graphics, and wrote the scripts and conducted the interviews with geology professionals. Students partnered with Coconut-Films.com for post-production.

Producing the film served as the vehicle for student learning on multiple levels. They were immersed in fieldwork of geology to master the California state education standards and, simultaneously, became directors, writers, and public relations managers as they interviewed local experts, designed demonstrations, produced work on a deadline, and contacted media.

Off-screen is heard a reading of a Shakespearean sonnet and the tourists are immediately enthralled by a rival street performer—a living statue of the Bard, but painted gold, and not behaving at all as a statue ought to. After a brusque attempt to reason with the interloper, Grey tries to beat him at his own game: He whips out his prop skull and dives into Alas! Poor Yorick! When he's interrupted by Gold performing the same monologue. That's when things escalate into violence, physical jabs mixed with verbal. What fist through yonder jawbone breaks! A crowd gathers, cheering and raining money down upon the two performers as they grapple. Realizing that they've had more success beating the stuffing out of each other than their run-of-the-mill street acts, they form a partnership... then jump back into the fight.

After recounting the night’s events with another hapless prisoner, Danny learns that his bail has been posted by the very same boxer with whom he started the brawl. A talk with the boxer reveals that Danny’s absentee brother had set all the chaos in motion in order to make a quick getaway with stolen money and Danny’s engagement ring for his estranged girlfriend. Armed with clarity of vision, Danny sets after his nefarious brother in a headlong chase through the downtown streets – upon capture, Danny’s brother confesses his misdeeds, enabling Danny to make amends with an unorthodox proposal to his girlfriend.
