Firstly, a thank you to those who made it! It was an amazing turn out. Both founders were very knowledgeable in their area of expertise and had given a lot of information and tips on how to create an idea, how to valid that idea and how to execute it. One of the main concerns we had during the event was the issue of intellectual property. A member of the audience asked “We ask others’ opinions to validate our ideas, but by telling them our idea, we are at risk of it being stolen, what can we do about this?” This concern was immediately addressed with “Benefits from the feedback obtained from others far outweighs any minor risk of people attempting to replicate your idea”.

James gave an outstanding speech on how get your own website up and running within a few hours! It was an unmissable event!

Week 3: Understanding your customers – Co-founder of Client Catalyst

Amazing presentation by Oliver! We were all able to discuss our ideas and new ventures to each other and being able to truly understand what our customers want!

So it’s already half-way through semester 1. We’ve had a launch party, hackathon, conference, bunch of guest speakers, and are now gearing up for the Agents of Change program, and Innovation Challenge with CitiPower Powercor. What a semester!!
