Craig McCourt accepts call to Cross View Lutheran

Craig McCourt, Trinity’s own UthGuy, has accepted a divine call from Cross View Lutheran Church in Edina Minnesota to serve as their director of Senior High Youth and Adult Ministries. Craig has served Trinity Lutheran Church for 13 years in many and various capacities, but is best known as “the youth guy!”

Craig’s farewell sermon and reception with be Sunday August 23rd.

Here is Your Last minute Info For Sonshine 2009!

WHAT To Bring:

Sleeping Bag / Pillow and other stuff like flashlights camera etc…
cards or potable games
Comfortable modest clothing (no bikinis(except in showers), or short shorts no tiny tops swimsuts and tops are only for shower – we don’t want to see you fanny underwear or belly)
comfortable shoes – not only flip flops may be good in the shower but not in a mosh pit
Sweatshirt – coat – could be cool at night
Sun Screen (30+) this is not tan time – way too much sun for that!
Water bottle (We will not have drinking cups on the site)
Bug spray
Personal care items ( a waterproof shower ket might be a good idea)
Don’t forget a towel or two for showers
Swimsuit (showers at high school are group showers so many prefer a swimsuit…) flip flops/crocks are also good for this!
2 munchies to share (i.e. chips, cookies, bars to share!)
Money for food/t-shirts etc. from vendors (We cover breakfast lunch and dinner)
collapsible lawn chair (the kind in a bag works best)
More sunsceen – we are serious on this one!
A great attitude and a willingness to pitch in and make it a Great Event!

Help with VBS 2009 – JULY 27-31

Make sure kids have a great summer by joining our Bayou Adventure “Where Fearless Kids Shine God’s Light. Lots of help is needed to make VBS “Great!” Lively Bible songs, team-building games, Bible Point Crafts and tasty treats and daily take home challenges are all part of students Bible learning fun as their faith grows. Kids will see and experience God right in front of them and in their life. They will also get the opportunity to participate in a great mission project. Once again, if are up for a challenge, show up and find out what God has for you to do on this FINAL Challenge. A good time will be had by all —We Promise!!!
