Totally Rad's RadLab

I downloaded a trial version of Totally Rad's RadLab today. Right off the bat I was excited at how easy it was to install. This being a definite bonus with having malfunctioning computers! Little did I know that the best was yet to come.

So often when I am deciding what effects that I want for my photos I have to open up my history palate as I'm going though. I LOVE that RadLab has a preview window that shows visuals of your options.

If you look on the right side you can even adjust each effect with sliders and check or uncheck the option as you design on adding multiple effects.

I would like to thank Totally Rad over at http://gettotallyrad.com/ for offering the review contest. I don't know if I would have downloaded the software without it. I have loved their products for so long, but could not justify spending more money on software and editing options. Which how easy to navigate this is, it will save me time. Definitely going to put this in the budget!

Apple iPad Contest

All of the talk about the Apple iPad is really making me want one! It would be great to bring to events, so I could download my images on it without having to worry about losing a card. It would also be a GREAT portable portfolio. There have been a few times where I start talking with someone about photography, and having an iPad would allow me to show some of my work.

Currently I have a laptop from about 6 years ago which can't run a whole lot- including the internet. It would be great to have the capability to go online at the moment I need to look something up instead of waiting until I get home to use my desktop computer. I would also be able to be downstairs with my boyfriend and dogs instead of upstairs on the computer the whole time.

Recently my iPod broke, so having music at the gym would be great too!

There are many places with contests to win an iPad- I have shared a link to a contest at www.print24.com. Entries are due by March 31st.

Hockey Season

As I am watching Team USA vs. Team Canada's gold medal hockey game, I decided to create a blog. I've had a few attempts at it, but never really kept up with updates.

Last week I went with my friend to her son's hockey game and took some photos. While watching the Olympic hockey game, I feel I should share them.

Today, I was lucky enough to win a Gina Alexander handbag! Any ideas what image I should use? Should I go with one of my more artistic images, my dogs, or perhaps one of each? I'm not sure if I get to choose a different image for each side. This is the purse I won...
