The Interpreter

2010-09-12T12:34:00.001-07:00

Silvia Broome (Nicole Kidman) is an interpreter working at the United Nations in New York, who was raised in the Republic of Matobo, a fictional African country.

The United Nations is considering indicting Edmond Zuwanie (Earl Cameron), president of Matobo, to trial in the International Criminal Court. Initially a liberator, over the past 20 years he has become as corrupt and tyrannical as the government he overthrew, and is now responsible for ethnic cleansing and other atrocities within Matobo. Zuwanie is soon to visit the United Nations and put forward his own case to the General Assembly, in an attempt to avoid the indictment.

A security scare forces the evacuation of the UN building, and Silvia returns at night to reclaim some personal belongings. At that time she overhears discussion of an assassination plot, and runs scared from the building when those discussing the plot become aware of her presence. The next day, Silvia recognises words in a meeting where she is interpreting from phrases she overheard the night before, and reports the incident to UN security; the target of the plot appears to be Zuwanie himself. They, in turn, call in the United States Secret Service, who assign Tobin Keller (Sean Penn) and Dot Woods (Catherine Keener) to investigate, as well as protect Zuwanie when he arrives. Keller learns that Silvia has, in the past, been involved in a Matoban guerrilla group, that her parents and sister were killed by land mines laid by Zuwanie, and that she has dated one of Zuwanie's political opponents. Although Keller considers Silvia a prime suspect, the two grow close and Keller ends up protecting her.

The assassin is discovered while Zuwanie is in the middle of his address to the General Assembly, and security personnel rush Zuwanie to a safe room for his protection. In the confusion, Silvia attempts to take revenge on Zuwanie for all that has happened, and Keller arrives just in time to prevent her from murdering him. The assassination plot is revealed to be a sham; Zuwanie planned it to enhance his own credibility, and thus avoid the indictment, while also eliminating his political opponents. Zuwanie is indicted, and Silvia is expelled from the UN, returning home to Matobo soon afterwards.

It doesn't work like that. If you post your links on my blog I will delete your comment and I will not check out your blog. Common sense. I will though be happy to check it out if you leave a real comment and wink wink.... Seriously. Anyways I am off to check my followers blogs to see what premium content they have.

Ocarina of Time

2010-09-10T22:51:00.000-07:00

The Expendables

2010-09-10T09:51:00.000-07:00

So I just got done watching this movie. It was good but it wasn't good at the same time. I mean it was kinda cheesy and it makes me wonder why they did it. Just for fun or to make more money on top of the money they have and don't need? It is one thing to come out with a true legend of a movie but to have legends in a cheesy movie like this makes me wonder if the idea pool has dried up in Hollywood.

Another perfect example of "wtf why are they doing this?" Is the *famous* remix to the All I do is win song.

According to Puffy he is a billionaire. If that is true why make such ridiculous videos. I wish I was this rich just to fuck around at that point in my life.

99 str

2010-09-09T21:46:00.001-07:00

So my bot for runescape just got me 99 str. Whoo lol..

Drinking money....

2010-09-09T08:30:00.000-07:00

I am completely broke haha. Moved back to where I am now from Florida and now I am out of money. I should be freaking out about this but I am actually relaxed. I have faith in myself and the economy around me. The Christmas season is coming so I could even get a temp job as a seasonal employee if it comes to that. I just feel like having a drink haha...

Even funnier is that I am not even of legal age to purchase beer or anything of that nature. Which is fine as well, I don't sweat the small stuff. I suppose I should get offa here and apply to jobs. Also a follow up on the other blog. I do get out often but as I said nothing interests me. People annoy me more then anything. I had to drive the the hospital recently for medical records and some bitch pulled out right in front of me. I had to swerve into the lane she was attempting to get to. Accident? I doubt it as she was looking right at me as she proceeded out. Oh well. I don't let things get to me anymore. Perhaps that is a bad thing. I have to apologize though. I appreciate the comments and I will get back to you all as I can my internet is messing up today. I leave with this video. Enjoy.

The mood today.

Bored beyond insane belief.

So as the picture sums it up I was rather bored all day long. It is sad but funny. I watched my bot get my runescape guy to 98 str and then watching a tv series I downloaded. Yipee my life is complete rofl. Boredom consumes me daily. Maybe this blog and my followers will make it different. Who knows. Listened to this song alot today too.

My insanity

2010-09-08T14:08:00.000-07:00

I am insane. I have been doing these blog things for 2 years now it seems. This isn't my first one but this is my most recent one. I do not know why I type these out because it is not as if anyone reads these or even remotely relates. I think I write these as a way to deal with life. As boring as it is, I do not feel I am a genius but everything seems easy or does not interest me enough to actually stick with it. I wonder if perhaps I am clinically retarded or something. I do not know how to handle it so I will continue to type these out in hopes of confirmation in my thoughts.

Community

2010-09-08T10:29:00.000-07:00

Community is a nbc show that came out about a year ago I suppose but I recently just found it. Being that I do not have cable lol. This show is simply amazing. Washed up actors as well as new ones drowning in the hollywood "surf". The entire first season was over 4gb which is insane. I will post more as I watch more but so far I kinda like it.

This amazing cat I saw.

2010-09-07T10:45:00.000-07:00

So I found this amazing looking cat. He looked so serious. I mean I have seen many cats before but this one was seriously serious. Yet oddly enough he was the friendliest beast ever. So by the feeling within my gut I approached him further. He did not hesitate when I reached out to pet this gentle beast. He begun to purr as I stroked his back. He loved it and I loved this cat. Serious cat is so serious and beautiful. I have attached a picture below.
