Roberts. In this book, Clint Adams, the Gunsmith, comes across a rustler that has been hung by vigilantes, without a trial. This does not sit well with the Gunsmith and he connects with a Texas Ranger, Jack First, to hunt down the vigilantes. This book has a lot of short chapters and it is interesting because there are blank pages before each chapter. I’ve heard that publishing has some odd number of pages where it is possible to publish a longer book cheaper than a shorter one.

I was reading this article on Minyanville on why the big banks have to breakup and it got me to thinking. I am a hyper-capitalist; however, what has been happening with big banks is not acceptable. A quote from the article, “Lack of tight regulation in the TBTF space leads to the worst economic system of all: asymmetric socialism. The enormous gains are reaped by employees and shareholders, but losses are socialized and paid by taxpayers.” is right on point. Don’t get me wrong, I have made my fair share of money on Goldman Sachs as a stockholder in the last year or so, but it is not right. Maybe the answer is breaking these guys up. Then the Obama proposed tax on banks would not be applicable. Just got me to thinking.
