Chinese Resto Fave 1: Din Tai Fung

2010-05-14T22:50:00.001+08:00

(Oh well, it's been a while..) We have been to Din Tai Fung several times and I'd say, it's one of our fave Chinese restos here in SG. For one, we usually go there with good friends. Of course, the other is because of good food. I'll probably post a few more on some other Chinese restos we love, so watch out for it. :p

Here are some pics (and now I'm craving!):

Yummy Shrimp Cake

Shrimp Fried Rice

Xiao Long Bao with Shrimps

Xiao Long Bao

My Nintendo DS

2010-02-17T00:30:00.003+08:00

This was his first birthday gift as an employed man here in SG (a delightful surprise for me). I realy wanted one way back in Phils, initially liking it since I see my former colleagues enjoying a lot playing with it. My liking aggravated when I tried playing with it myself. But due to more important financial needs, it sort of took the back seat. Oh well...

My husband brushed me with his being a huge fan of Super Mario. Hence my Mario-themed wallpaper..

I am currently playing Cooking Mama 3 and Brain Academy. This actually keeps me up awake at night (but sometimes puts me to sleep :p).

KFC Breakfast

2010-02-05T09:29:00.000+08:00

We prefer their breakfast instead of McDonald's. That's why whenever Mon is on night shift, I request him to bring this home so I can eat it before going for work.

I love their AM Platter meal. Consists of honey biscuit, scrambled egg, hashbrown and chicken fillet. :D Mon loves their waffles and egg breakfast meal.

Now missing Jollibee breakfasts! haha..

Beef Fajitas!

2010-02-04T21:06:00.000+08:00

I love love the beef fajitas in Chili's... Yummy yum yum..

Craving right now.....

I Love Cadbury Macadamia!

2010-02-01T08:29:00.001+08:00

I am not a that fond of chocolate, which I think is good for me, else I'd be much bigger than I am now today. :p

But then, we came across Cadbury Dairy Milk Macadamia. So yummy! I like it a lot since macadamia nut is not that hard-of-a-nut and light tasting. It really matches well with chocolate!

I try not to buy that much now though. Because I can finish that one big box in one seating! Not gooooooood! :p

First Birthday Gift..

2010-01-31T12:00:00.003+08:00

I received my first (and advanced) birthday gift last Sunday (Jan 24). 'twas from Weng. Lovett! :p Thanks thanks! :p

Hmmm... I remember hearing her mention there's still another gift for me? :p I don't know if I heard it right. :p Excited haha..

I Love Gifts!

2010-01-24T23:09:00.002+08:00

There are most of the gifts I received last Christmas/New Year. :) More details here.

KFC Egg Tart is Here!

2010-01-22T21:20:00.000+08:00

Cel and I decided to drop by HBF and VivoCity one weekday. Hehehe.. We decided to have a snack at KFC and to my delight, they have egg tarts! Weeeee! But just for the Chinese New Year.. Good enough though!

I really love the KFC egg tarts from Hong Kong. Been craving for it for a while now... And I am so happy it tastes the same! :D

Nomnomnomnom! :)) Will definitely buy again...

Hokkien Mee

2010-01-05T21:48:00.000+08:00

One of the must tries here in SG. This is a stir-fried prawn noodle which consists of prawns, egg and rice noodles with squids, egg and spring onions. Makes my mouth water now. :D

I've tried this in a lot of hawker centers and food courts but the best one for me and Mon is just right here in Koufu Commonwealth though the one in Food Republic, Wisma Atria is good too.

I Love Afritada

2010-01-03T11:37:00.002+08:00

Mon cooked this. So yummy.. He's getting better and better at cooking! Good for me, we can take turns. :p

Wondering what's next on the list. He mentioned embutido. Yum!

Welcome 2010!

2009-12-31T16:56:00.000+08:00

Let's start the year with a bang! And continue the whole year with lots of joy, love and peace in our hearts.

I am really looking forward to the days ahead. This is a very good opportunity to live life to the fullest and make our loved ones feel important and cared for. Life is too short not to let them feel it.

I Love Log Cakes!

2009-12-30T01:03:00.001+08:00

Log cakes are a thing here at SG especially during this festive season. I received this one when two of my colleagues and their friends went to our place and sang a few Christmas songs for us (2nd wk of December). They even blessed us with a prayer. Nice.. :)

Btw, the log cake is yummy. I think the little boy (my inaanak David) did enjoy it al well. Most cakes here in Singapore are a bit 'matabang' for my taste so this one satisfied my craving for Pinoy-made cakes. :p

Oh no! Now I am missing the Red Ribbon Mango Cake! :-s

Yotsuba Series - Blog Reader

2009-12-29T22:34:00.000+08:00

As I've said, Yotsuba has accumulated a lot of pics but I don't have the chance to organize our pics that I cannot upload it all at once.

It gave me an idea to create a series as my task of organizing pics is a work in progress. I'd probably have other series' on the other stuffs I love..

I'll leave you with the cutey Yotsuba reading my other blog.. :p

I Love Avatar!

2009-12-27T18:58:00.005+08:00

Just watched Avatar in 3D and it is freakin' awesome! It's the first time I have watched a full-length film in 3D. Lovett!

The first time I saw the trailer in the cinema, I'm hooked already. I felt the movie is really really great. And my expectations were exceeded ten-folds!

My two cents: the movie is really action and adventure-packed. The concept is really great. Graphics are realistic, crisp and state-of-the-art. The production is impeccable. Ooops, not trying to be a professional movie critic here. Just really enjoyed the film and I am overwhelmed. :p Watch the trailer in HD.

Here are some fun trivias from imdb.

You guys have to watch it. I suggest in 3D because it's more fun and will give you one helluva joy ride. It's a two thumbs up for me. I even want to watch it again. :p You'll regret if you don't watch it in cinemas. :)

Splashing Waters..

2009-12-27T15:35:00.001+08:00

.. in front of VivoCity.

McDonald's-Coca cola Contour Glasses

2009-12-26T15:40:00.004+08:00

'twas actually Mon's idea to collect this one. He became obsessed that he collected two of each color (lime, pink, blue, green, purple and charcoal). :p

Love ko 'to!

Snow in Singapore?

2009-12-26T10:42:00.000+08:00

Not really.. Tanglin Mall's idea of creating a 'snowy Christmas' using soap suds in Singapore is really nice. Everyone seems to be enjoying it, minus the cold... But it makes me think how it feels like to spend Christmas on a country with real snow.. Hmm... :p

Weeeee, We have a Wii!

2009-12-25T22:55:00.001+08:00

An early Christmas gift to each other. So happy that we finally indulged! haha..Mon, thanks for the title idea. :p

Would that mean I'd be too busy to blog? Nah! I had so much more reasons to.. :p Mon even blogged about it too. :D

Season's Greetings!

2009-12-24T12:16:00.003+08:00

Play, Play, Play!

2009-12-23T21:18:00.001+08:00

Please see this post about the little big boy... :p

My Favorite Spot

2009-12-22T22:14:00.001+08:00

Here is where I usually eat lunch. Most of the times with Cel. :)

I love this spot since it is very relaxing place. The 'myna?' birds flying around, waiting for some food, the chameleons hunting for their lunch and the cute squirrel that jumps and plays from tree to tree. Nature-tripping! :p

That little spot is one of my sanctuaries... I have been there on times I just want to relax.. to reflect on things... to note the things I want to do or blog... to be away on the work mode for just a while..

I don't like rains that much because it makes my mood gloomy. So when it rains, of course we couldn't have lunch there, it adds up to the gloominess I feel. But then again, I look forward for the following day when we can again spend some time there..

I Love Nissin Seafood Cup Noodles

2009-12-15T23:07:00.000+08:00

I still think the one from Japan is the best! Tried the milk seafood and it's also yummy. :p

Christmas is Love

2009-12-15T02:23:00.001+08:00

Oh how I miss our families back home. Good decision for me to splurge a little and setup our autumn-themed christmas tree so that I'll be constantly reminded of our Christmas celebs in Pinas.

I really love our tree and I am having a crazy idea of having it in our living room even until Christmas season is over! :p It's just became a very good accent, that's why.. hehehe..

Here it is, all lit up. :D

I Love Wrapping Gifts

2009-12-14T12:11:00.006+08:00

Hehehe.. so far here are the loots for the Christmas.. I stayed late last night just to wrap most of the gifts. Just a few more to wrap and I'm all done! :p

Wrapping gifts seem to be therapeutic. It's very relaxing though some 'complicated' items can be a headache sometimes. :p Nevertheless, I still love doing it.. :D

Here's the set of gifts for now..

I wrapped the kids' gifts using the Toys 'r Us gift wrap. Nice no? :p

I Love Modesto's!

2009-12-12T22:28:00.000+08:00

Modesto's is an Italian resto here in Singapore. The food is really good, coupled with a very nice ambiance.

Everything we ordered was really yummy!

Complimentary Foccacia Bread
