get the word out there people and if you see someone with this on their computer just update them not to say that i like ie7 or ie8 but the less of them i have to code for the better!!!  And also install firefox!!! giving the choice some people will switch.

I think it had to do with a setting in the browser for outside cookies what i am trying to do is load other sites into a frame with a top header like you would see on facebook when you click on a link well wish me  luck as i try to get it to work.

Google is now asking users to drop IE6 in favor of their own Chrome browser or Firefox 3 (Safari & IE7 also appear as compatible browsers).

Some people may see this as a monopolistic tactic since Google is suggesting users to use their own Chrome browser but let’s be honest:

  1. They are not specifying their browser only as they are just asking users to use any browser except IE6.
  2. IE6 limits users abilities to experience more rich Web Browsing experiences.
  3. IE6 just plain sucks and I don’t care who has a monopoly as long as it is not the crappy IE family.

Hopefully more services will join in with Google and start asking their users to drop this awful browser once and for all. I am sure we will be seeing some major changes on the browser world for 2009.

Apparently, according to this article , there is major security flaw on IE that allows users to steal passwords for online games and could be (or has already been) modified to steal other types of passwords.

So far there is no patch available from Microsoft so nay users that are currently browsing the Web with any IE version are completely open to this attack. Microsoft has released some workarounds but people report that they are either to complicated for the common user or that they do not work at all (if they worked then that would technically be a patch, right?)

Our recommendation for a quick and easy patch is very simple: USE ANOTHER BROWSER. Here’s a list so that you can choose, maybe even try them all and see which one you like the best:

IE8 case is that since now they are a supposedly standards complain browser, I’ll talk about why I say supposedly in a second, Websites that applied hacks for previous versions of IE will not work as expected on IE8.

Before anybody points out that Microsoft effort to have a standard complaint browser is a good thing I will say that I completley agree with this thought. The problem I am having with it, is their egotistical approach in which they basically sent out an ultimatum to al  Web Masters warning them about how their Websites would break because they had used non standards hacks.

First of all, this hacks are in place because of Microsoft’s own crappy browsers to begin with and second I don’t believe it is a very wise marketing idea to go out and tell people that they need to spend monet and resources adapting their Websites to be used with your browser. I mean, screw that, I’ll just tell people to keep using the browser they are using now since my Website already works well in them.

Actually, there is one thing that I don’t understand and that is that Safari, Chrome and of course Firefox are all standard compliant browsers and all these Websites and my Website, look and work as expected on them. So how come Microsoft’s IE8 is having a problem with them? because of hacks that we had to do for their privous versions? Couldn’t IE8 be programmed to ignored this hacks?

I say it’s time to turn our back on the IE team and just say: “sorry, I don’t have the time, money or the will to make my Website work with your browser. Why don’t you turn around and make your browser work with my Website and all the other million Website in which it doesn’t work?”

I say it’s time for us to crerate a list of crappy Non-Compliant Browsers:

  1. IE6
  2. IE7
  3. IE8

Suck on that Microsoft.
