It is important for children to learn both the name and the sound/s of alphabet letters. So far we have introduced : S s  - we made spaghetti, we painted Ss with glue and sprinkled on sand, and Jenni brought in a Skull with a Spike in the Sand, which fascinated all the children. Last week we introduced Ww – we made a White world and did some weaving. This week we are thinking about Mm. We have introduced a mystery box and children have been enjoying finding things that start with M in the box.

Today our caterpillar changed into a pupa. It happened during second lunch. It was hanging off the branch this morning. We watched a video clips on youtube to see how it happens- amazing!!
