One of my favorite style influencers Blair Eadie has launched a limited time clothing and accessories capsule in collaboration with Nordstrom. I love her cheerful, preppy and timeless style. All the pieces from her Atlantic Pacific X Halogen line are very true to her style aesthetics. I checked out the collection in person in the store and this Halogen® x Atlantic-Pacific Menswear Plaid Blazer is hands down my favorite piece. It is classic, timeless and even though its plaid and menswear inspired, it has a feminine silhouette to it because it nips at the waist. I love the length (I am 5'8" tall) and the double breasted style. It comes with matching cropped pants, so you can wear it as work suit. I only got the blazer to pair it with my jeans for a laid back yet polished look.

I didn't get a whole lot of stuff as not all of the pieces were being sold in stores, but I have put my online order for following pieces and can't wait to get my hands on them!

Now that the good weather is finally here, I am so happy I can wear dresses every day and no worry about cold legs. I am always cold! Do you guys have the same problem? My husband and my daughter are exact opposite of me - they are totally comfortable in 60degree weather ( I guess like most normal people LOL!), but I need a jacket as soon as temperature gets below 74!

A Day Among Tulip Fields At Holland Ridge Farms, New Jersey

One of my most favorite travel memories is from our trip to Amsterdam, specifically from the Keukenhof tulip gardens. Rows upon rows of bright, cheerful flowers make you feel like you are in a fairytale. I wish I could go there every year during tulip season. But its not possible obviously. So when I found out about that there is a tulip festival at Holland Ridge Farms in Cream Ridge New Jersey, I had to check it out. I really loved the fact that it is just over an hour drive away from my town as well as from other NYC suburbs/metro area neighborhoods. This farm is over 140 acres and boasts of 120 variety of tulip bulbs from Holland itself. We got lucky that the day was overcast and not very hot, and the tulips were in full bloom. My advice , if you are planning to go there this week (or next year in 2019) is to reach there as soon as they open in the morning because just after 2 hours of opening, this place will be packed , specially during weekend. We were there at 9 AM and could see the fields without much crowd and got photos without photobombinngs, but by 11 AM, I could see there were lots of people inside and there was a traffic line of cars waiting to even enter the parking lot!

It is a great place for a day out with family, spend time among cheerful tulips and enjoy everything mother nature has to offer!

Lookbook : Striped Ruffle Wrap Midi Skirt

Sky blue seems to be the color of the moment and I find myself picking up things in the delicate pale shade of blue (like this polka dot dress). This Target Who What Wear Ruffle Wrap Midi Skirt caught my eye last week in the store and it was like love at first sight 😍😍. Last year J.Crew had a similar skirt but it was sold out pretty quickly so when I found out the similar style in Target for even lower prices, I jumped on the chance to buy it. I had this Gap Off Shoulder Stripe Top from last year and it matches with the stripes of the ruffles of skirt so well. I love pieces that I can mix, match and wear in different ways to get the most use out of, and these two pieces are really good in that regard.

I love the color combination of sky blue and fuchsia. The strappy sandals (Krysten Block Heel Pumps by A New Day) are the prettiest color of hot pink and very comfortable. I have seen similar style and color in department stores for over $100 but these sandals are under $33, look high end and are very comfortable!

I am loving romantic ruffles this year and can't get enough of them. (Exhibit A here) .

Looking for chic and trendy dresses on a budget? Target's Who What Wear line is the answer. This line has figured it all out - their designs feel very "current", look high end and prices are very affordable. For fast fashion, where you want to get something stylish (without the regret of getting a seasonal/current look for a lot of money) Target's Who What Wear is a winning bet!
For this Spring/Summer, I tried out their latest dresses and I wanted to give you all a real look of them. For reference I am 5'8" tall, 140 pounds, 34 C, size S/M or 6/8 in most brands and Who What Wear size Small and 6 fits me. All the dresses I am wearing here are either Small or size 6. The quality of the cotton poplin is not super high, but then, all of them are under $35, so you can't complain!

Women's Sleeveless Belted Mock Neck Midi Dress

This oxford shirting fabric dress is the 'it' print of Spring/Summer this year. The sky blue color, seersucker-like stripes and the fresh modern take on a tiered midi is a win. I loved it on me and I think this style is very classic. Its not lined and does not have pockets but for the price, its a good buy. It is 100% cotton according to the label inside.

Women's Ruffle Sleeve Midi Dress

This is very "walk down the cobble stone streets in an Italian village' look dress. It has a shirt dress style, has buttons going through the front, fully lined and comes in 4 fun prints (including my favorite polka dots) and has charming ruffles at the shoulder. Very girly, pretty and fun Spring/Summer dress that can be dressed up or down. I tried all 4 colors and loved every single one of them. The fabric is also very soft. A good buy given that the floral prints and shirt dress style is a timeless look for Spring/Summer.

This is a charming dress and comes in window pane print as well as lush floral print. I wore the rose print version of this dress in a previous blog post. I love both the prints. This dress is very feminine style with A-line full skirt, tie sleeves and it can be dressed up for a special occasion too.

Women's Short Sleeve Smocked Dress

This chambray dress is very on trend with off shoulder style and smocked chest. It is a very 'summer' dress. It is 100% cotton according to the label inside. I didn't like it on myself because the way it looks at the front on me, but I think anybody else with less endowed chest can rock this dress really well.

Women's Off the Shoulder Ruffle Dress

This dress is very modern and chic but the color didn't do anything for me. I think this is a great color for people with either darker or fairer skin than mine. I look washed out in it, but it is just my opinion. I can never work Khaki, even though this safari style is very modern and summer-fresh. I love the striped bell and one shoulder ruffle.

Women's Belted Paperbag Skirt

The last item I tried on from Target Who What Wear line was this paper bag skirt with abstract print. I loved the style and look of it. Paperbag waist is very tricky to pull off as it can look frumpy and shapeless, but with a right top, it can look very modern and flattering. I love Khaki version of it too, and I think that would be a better option for me than a dress if I want the safari/khaki summer look.

The dresses of this collection are well made (See my detailed review of 9 other dresses here). They fit true to size and fit comfortably. I tried all Nordstrom dresses in size 6 and they fit me well (I am usually a 6, sometimes 8 in some brands). So I'd say that GMG dresses are generous in sizing.

This handbag style is going to be the "it" bag for 2018. This style came to my notice few months ago via the British brand Danse Lente (in French it means slow dance). Gal Meets Glam Dress Collection Review : What GMG Dresses To Buy!

I love dresses and I love feminine, timeless, classic style. So when Gal Meets Glam blogger Julia Engel announced her dress collection, I immediately put it on my radar! I love Julia's style and identify with her style of dresses, Modest, feminine and elegant. Today her collection Gal Meets Glam launched on her e-commerce website as well as on Nordstrom. Select Nordstrom stores also carry the line. I had a chance to visit Paramus Nordstrom and try on her dresses in person. My first thought was that dresses were generous in sizes - I mean they were not running small. For reference, I am usually a size 6 in J.Crew/Ann Taylor/ Ralph Lauren/Eliza J dresses (sometimes 8 in H&M dresses) and GMG colection size 6 fits me comfortably. I am 34 C, and 5'8" tall. Here are some of the fitting room photos.

The lilac Hillary dress is very beautiful, the only problem I found was that it was sticking to my body with static and the fabric and lining shell was almost gluing together. But I think a dryer sheet can fix that. Pricing for this dress is on the higher end ($168, and I still think its worth the money as it is a non-dated style that will last many years in your closet)

The Ellie dress is very pretty sky blue. I loved the dress per se, but it is not for me as I find it is "youngish" and may be will look perfect for someone younger than me. But the dress itself is beautiful. I don;t much care for the gathering pleats as it gives a cheap look to otherwise pretty dress. Price for this dress may not be to the liking of many, including me as its very generic (Forever 21/H&M style dress)

The Lauren dress was one of my most favorite, in a very smooth, soft and luxurious silky fabric. The colors are true to picture on the website. The style is vintag-y classic, Pricing for this dress is on the higher end ($178, and I still think its worth the money as it is a non-dated style that will last many years in your closet)

The fabric of this white dress is pretty substantial. It has a very pretty pearl trim on neckline and arms, and will make a great special occasion dress for bridal showers, engagement party, Easter or graduation. It is also exclusively being sold at Nordstrom.

My Final Thoughts And Review: The dresses are really well made, fully lined when needed, some even have pockets. The colors are truly pretty. But if your style is not vintage-y feminine, you may not like them as much as I did. The quality is at par with Eliza J or other similar brands being sold at Nordstrom and so is the pricing. I wish these dresses were even more affordable and some of them at least were priced under 100 (those everyday dresses at least), but all said and done, this is a very promising line and I see Julia bringing up more dresses like that every few months.

There are couple other dresses that I like which are exclusive to Gal Meets Glam e-commerce website. Judith Dress in White , Courtney Dress, Rose Dress and Shelby Dress are so my style and I have ordered Judith BEFORE I went to Nordstrom. (I have ordered size 8, and I have a feeling I may need to exchange it for size 6. Keeping my fingers crossed that they still have a size 6!)

When the temperature rises, day is sunny and bright and you want your outfit to breathe, there is nothing better than a dress made with natural fabric like cotton or linen. Lookbook : Who What Wear Dress for Target

I love Target. (Insert all the 'goes in for a milk carton, gets out with $200 worth of fashion stuff I didn't know I need' jokes with laugh tears emoji!) I specially like their Who What Wear collection. Its very chic, trendy, looks high end but very affordable. I got this rose print tie sleeve midi dress and I love that its fully lined!

Review : GoReadyMade Meal Delivery Service #GoReadyMade

Millennial economy brought us many things - shared rides, renting instead of owning, commitment free cable services to name a few. But one thing that single single-handedly changed the way society functions is the 'subscription services' - from clothes to beauty to dog treats- there is a boxed subscription service for every need. Meal delivery services are one of most sought after subscription services, specially in big cities and surrounding areas. For busy people they are a blessing. You don't have to worry about grocery shopping and no worries about decaying produce in the fridge because you were too busy to cook the whole week. The newest meal subscription service I recently found out about is GoReadyMade.com. I was offered to try out GoReadyMade meals myself and see how I like them. So I ordered 4 meals from them and loved it! I can honestly say that I'd recommend this service for anyone looking for a meal subscription /delivery service.

They are different than most other box meal services in the sense that with GoReadyMade you don't even have to do any chopping, prepping or follow recipe steps. GoReadyMade meals are already cooked for you - you need to just heat them up as instructed. But it doesn't mean that the meals are frozen - they are as fresh as you get if you do the grocery shopping yourself. They have a variety of meals including vegetarian options. I ordered following 4 meals from them -

1 - Oven-Roasted Salmon with Tangerine & Quinoa Salad

2 - BBQ Chicken Sliders on Brioche with Slaw

3 - Smoky Chicken Fajitas with Lime Cream, Peppers, and Onion

4 - Orzo and Tomatoes with Mozzarella and Spinach

Instructions are detailed and easy to follow. Every meal has the nutritional and calorie information right on the box.

The meals came individually packed. They were packed with insulating liners and ice packs inside a sturdy cardboard box. I made three meals in one day and refrigerated the fourth for next day and it was still fresh! The greens were crisp and fresh. For an honest and in-real-time review, I documented the opining of the box and unwrapping of the meal in a video and how the final product turned out. Here is the whole process to give you a better idea of how GoReadyMade service works.

GoReadyMade meals are already are super easy to make. They are ready to be put in oven or heated up in microwave. For the salmon, instead of oven or microwave, I used my pan as my daughter loves pan seared salmon. So I guess, you can put your own twist too if you so incline! The salad dressing, mayo, sour cream etc were all included in little pouches as required for for each dish.

You can check out GoReadyMade.com to see if they deliver in your area. They have interesting and innovative meal choices, quality is good (at least the meals that I tried!) and the pricing is affordable. They have four types of subscription plans starting with $49.99 per week. You can skip the weeks and cancel your subscription anytime. But given their service and food quality, I am sure you wouldn't want to!

Style Trends : 15 Gingham Shirt And Tops You'll Love This Spring

I love gingham print - it reminds me of summer days, picnics and the innocence of yesteryears! Gingham pattern is evergreen -like florals or stripes, but this year it seems gingham is wildly popular. I am seeing it beyond just shirts, it is omnipresent - in modern dresses, skirts, shoes, accessories and novelty sleeve tops. I got my aqua blue gingham shirt from J.Crew and I love the color and light fabric. I took this shirt to Richmond VA when we were there visiting my best friend during Spring break last week.

J.Crew has almost same style again this year in this shirt and almost every retailer has Gingham tops in wide variety of styles. Here are some of the ones I really love!
