Are Online Relationships Good Or Bad

If you've 'met' someone online you may be wondering are online relationships good? For the most part, that depends on the exact nature of the relationship and how each of the people in the relationship feels about it.

Relationships are very personal and every person, and couple, to some degree make their own rules. Having said that though, most good relationships will have some common features.

For instance, it's important at an early stage for each of you to discuss what you want to get out of the relationship. Now, obviously, I'm not talking about pledging your undying love after you've just met someone, but as you get to know one another if the bond seems to be growing, would either, or both, of you like to eventually meet? Or would you be more comfortable just keeping things in the cyber world?

There is no right or wrong when it comes to that question, but it's important that you are both on the same page. Someone can get hurt if they feel the connection is strong enough to warrant actually meeting in person and the other person has no desire to take the relationship that far.

If one or the other of you is using your online relationship to 'cheat' on a real world partner, than it's not really good. Cheating is cheating and most people would define it as having an emotional connection, a romantic connection, with someone other than your partner. Even if the two of you never meet and never have a physical relationship, many would consider it cheating to have another romantic love besides your partner.

One of the biggest things everyone has to remember when they are involved in an online relationship of any kind is that you don't really know for sure who you're talking to. That 21 year old female college student from Kansas may actually be a 45 year old plumber from Pittsburgh. Yikes! It's hard to really form a bond with another person if you can't even be sure who they really are.

Online relationships allow you to fill in a lot of the blanks about a person, and more often than not you'll fill things in the way you would like them to be. This may be one of the biggest pitfalls of all when it comes to online relationships. Of course, if the two of you actually meet in person, you will overcome that obstacle. But if the two of you are content to leave things strictly online you have to remember that you can only get so close to someone when you can't ever be sure they are who they say they are.

Many people would argue that you can never really get to know another person, but if you've actually met them in person at least you know to some degree, if they are really who they say they are.

All in all the question: are online relationships good depends largely on you and what you're looking for in a relationship. The internet offers a great way to meet new people, just make sure that you are clear about what it is you are really looking for.

Have you broken up with someone because of a misunderstanding, an argument, or over something that really shouldn't have caused a break up? Cause if you are then I can understand wanting to fix your relationship even if you had gotten pretty upset with them. There are a few methods you can take first is the active version and after the passive version.

Now to take the active approach and if your ex is willing to talk then this method should be the most straightforward, but if the heat of the last argument hasn't cooled down between the both of you then it most likely will lead to another word fight.

First, come to understand what the argument was about. Then, if the argument is something you regret and that you truly want to get back together then you need to express that with your ex. Now, they might not want to talk to you and still feel upset, but you should kindly tell them that the argument went way out of hand and anything you said wasn't how you really felt and that you would want to possibly talk things over with them. Having sincerity in your words is far more important than pride at this point, but if they won't give you time they certainly don't deserve your attention.

Next we have is the passive method this one focuses solely on self evaluation and to get your ex to look at a fresh you. This one is probably the better option for both you and the entire relationship. The reason I say that is because if you look from how you were before, during, and after the relationship you gotta make some decisions based on how you feel towards yourself. Are you happy with who you are now? If not then you should choose this option, not only is it possible you'll catch your ex's attention, but you will feel better about yourself along with it. The steps for this method is easy. First, try changing your hairstyle to something you normally don't do, but look good with.

Next, spice up your wardrobe with something new for instance try different colored shirts that might bring a different feel that isn't usual for you. Now, the next step should be easier and something you need to think about less before doing and that would be to just hang out with your friends or some new companions and just enjoy yourself.

Now the final step after separating any sad feelings and partly moved on from your ex if you still want to get back together. Talk to your ex with that new found confidence and bright appearance they just might jump at the chance to get back with you. This might make you happy to realize that your hurt feelings from the past are still there and the only reason your standing there now is because of how you feel towards them.

If you can't get past all of the drama with your ex they might not be worth it and then its time to move on and if you take the passive method you will most definitely come out with less scars and a lot more hope for future relationships that you can work on with them and even decide some things up front to prevent past problems to reoccur. I hope my insight is useful for many situations and even help those that need to move on, because there is no fix all answer.

The Volkswagen Hover Car is a pod-like zero-emissions vehicle that uses electromagnetic road networks to float above the road. The small Volkswagen has two seats and a joystick and, to demonstrate how the car would work, a Chinese couple appears to put the flying car to the test around the bustling streets of Chengdu. The two seem reluctant to climb aboard at first, but once they lift-off, they seem to enjoy all the attention the pod car gets

I think this is pretty cool. And its about time.....We've been waiting for those flying cars for years!!!!! What do you think of the concept? You think that its real? And if so, could you see yourself behind the wheel...or joystick in this case....of one of these??

Just a sick looking paint job I saw on a Celica earlier today while I was in White Plains, NY. So I figure I would do a quick post and show you guys. I wish I could have gotten a better shot of the hood. But it looks like an angry woodpecker.

The texture of the rest of the car is what caught my eye. It looks marble!! Kinda crazy....I've never seen that on a car before. I mean, I'm no car fanatic or expert in car detailing, or the auto paint shop underworld.... but I know a good paint job when I see it.

If there are any car buffs out there...let me know what you think.......

Skinny Jeans........WHY?????

There has been a disturbing trend going on in the world of fashion for a couple of years now and it must be addressed. Now...I am not one to judge people on the way they are dressed. If you like it and it makes you happy...rock on. But this one particular article of clothing is alarming......I'm talking about...skinny jeans.

Now...its okay for women to wear skin tight jeans to hug their curves. Its one of the more beautiful things to look at. But for guys.....I mean..c'mon. First off....I don't get how it could be humanly possible for them to be remotely comfortable. I mean...you have to let the boys breathe down there. Can't have your testies all squished up all day long wearing tight ass pants. Not to mention the look itself. I don't see the appeal and the fact that your balls are in constant danger, men should just say no to skinny jeans. Just my little rant.....Agree or Disagree???

Perfume Preview by Andrea Tolu: Davidoff Adventure For Men

I have a bias towards fresh spicy frags and I’m not afraid to use it, even when they don’t have much variety to offer, which is exactly the case for this Davidoff adventure perfume.

I loved the opening though, with its elegant orange mulled by smooth pepper, which is not smooth if you smell it for real, but in perfumes it gives warmth without being rugged. The opposite would be ginger, like the one in Emporio Armani City Glam for example.

This Davidoff perfume for men then became minty and spicy, and just when I was getting the oh-yeah reaction, clean laundry notes started to come up.

Now, if you know perfumes like Cool Water, Drakkar Noir or Paco Rabanne Pour Homme, that’s what I’m talking about: the clean laundry detergent smell, given by a synthetic molecule called dihydromyrcenol (no, really it does exist, I’m not making it up).

The perfumes I mentioned above (especially Cool Water) are famous for using huge amounts of this detergent stuff, which had its greatest diffusion during the nineties but it’s still included in many fresh aromatic fragrances for men (and for women as well: recently I sampled Cerruti 1881 an it had that smell). That’s why many hate it, not because it’s bad but because ever-present.

Davidoff Adventure is no exception here, and although I don’t hate this aroma, the fact that the clean laundry started to cover the rest of the notes was a definite turn-off.

Luckily enough however, it proved to be only an interlude, and Davidoff Adventure became interesting again, thanks to green and aromatic notes. Again, nothing new here, but this accord is greener than usual, which makes it better. Also, it’s peppery and even slightly powdery.

This change will happen after about one hour, but it will be short-lived, and in the dry down clean laundry will be the main note again, with the orange and soft spices in the background.

Although the perfume itself is not an adventure, in the sense that won’t offer surprising notes, it’s still very pleasant. The most interesting part, IMHO is the opening, with a warm, semi-thick mix of orange and spices.

Definitely appropriate for outdoors activities, although this boy is too good for romantic dates, where I would recommend something bolder like 1 Million by Paco Rabanne.

I Need To Get In Shape!!!

So....You have a reached a certain point in your life where you are starting to realize...."I'm not young anymore". All thru our early years, we have worn a cloak of invincibility where we feel healthy as a horse. Nothing can bother us. We can eat what we want, run on little sleep, indulge in vices, and we are strong enough to fight off anything that comes our way. Exercise is an "option", not the norm. But now we've come to this point. Our bodies are more sluggish, and don't look as impressive as they once did. That's when it hits us. That phrase that everyone utters to themselves, either out loud or in their head...."I need to start taking care of myself better".

It's a great moment in our lives because now, we start to understand that we control our fate and being a healthier person is very important going forward. So now, we have our new mission in life..."We're gonna get healthy...diet...exercise..all that good stuff. But then that nagging question hits us..."What do I do??" We've never been on a diet before, never really exercised, never thought about this stuff. "Where do I begin??" We'll here are some tips for the out of shape person looking to reinvent themselves and become a healthier human being.

Well the first thing that I can recommend that we change first is our mentality. The road to good health starts in our head. We have to be determined and disciplined enough to want to better ourselves. That may be biggest hurdle we have to climb. But if we can do that, then sky is the limit and your body will love you for it

Another good thing I could recommend would be to list all of your vices you may have and really consider either cutting back or quitting them all together. Things like smoking, drinking, drug use will, no doubt, have adverse effects on our bodies. So it is important that we really consider doing away with those harmful things.

The next thing I would suggest is a visit to the good ol' doctors office. A thorough checkup is a good idea just to make sure everything is runnin' smoothly. If any issues may be occurring, the doc can inform you and let you know how to treat it and get you back on the path of healthiness.

Cut down on the crappy, greasy, sugary, foods that you eat. As the saying goes....we are what we eat. And if we eat crap...we can't expect to feel great. Less fried stuff...more fruits and veggies. Desserts in moderation. Cut down on sodas and artificial drinks for more healthier alternatives like fresh juices and water. Grains are good too. More grains, the better. Whole wheat instead of white bread is a definite start.

Exercise!!! Get up, get out, get active. Now when I say exercise, I don't necessarily mean you have to automatically shell out cash for a gym platinum package. A good walk or a jog is a nice start. Just make sure you do a 'lil something active to get the blood pumping. 15 to 30 minutes a day can do wonders.

Stick to your routine!! There will be days where you just don't feel like doing anything. Or you just want to pig out and eat what you want. And that is normal. But don't destroy all of your progress in one fell swoop. Its ok to indulge once in awhile when it comes to food. Just use moderation. And know that you'll just have to work a little harder next time to offset that. As far as getting motivated to exercise on those days when you don't want to.....just try to think about the impact a healthier lifestyle will have on your overall well-being. Think about your family and loved ones and how by trying to become a healthier person will give you more time to enjoy the special moments in life.

So there you have it. Start today to become a more healthier you. Your body will thank you for it :)

The Snapback Craze....

It appears a once urban craze of the 90's is making a comeback some 20 years later. Those of us who grew up in that time remember the crazy styles, champion shirts, and Carhartt jackets. Baggy jeans, and Harlems. And of course, Starter hats. Everyone remembers this commercial (See kids....Curve Bill > Flat bill.) But like everything, times changed and the fitted hat era began in the mid to late 90's. And once you go fitted, you don't go back......or do you.

Lately there has been a demand for the styles and fit of the "snapback" hat.....called starter hats in my day. And, while retro clothing is always a way to go in some respects, I don't know how I feel about this. Sure, some of the hat styles were pretty fly back then. I know I went thru a few of them back in the day. There was a time we would loop the snapback on out belt loops....just because we could. A fresh Starter hat to go along with our fresh Starter jacket, we were good to go.

I was a young teenager then, and I thought our era was defined by our style. As fly as it was back then, I don't know if I'm quite looking for it to make a comeback. The 90's were a unique time as far as music and culture were concerned and I guess a piece of me wants to keep it strictly ours. And another part of me is afraid that if that style comes back, I'll get a first hand look at how ridiculous I may have looked...lol. Either way, I think the snapback hat...I'mma still call them Starter hats..seem to be back in style. And if that is the case, so be it. All I ask is if people are gonna bring back the style.....PLEASE...PLEASE...FOR THE LOVE OF GOD...CURVE YOUR BILLS!!!!!

The Power Of The Wife-Beater (The Shirt....That Is...)

The sleeveless t-shirt....aka, the wife beater has become a staple of fashion for many. They are light, cheap, and on the right person, just downright hot. For all the designer tops and pants available, there is something about a woman wearing a wife beater that is just unbelievably sexy. I know....women find them sexy on a guy too...but this is my blog post so I'm gonna steer this more for the fellas (no offense ladies :) ) A beautiful woman wearing nothing more than a wife beater and a pair of sweatpants or those short shorts can be the most gorgeous site in the world.

There are women out there that go all out to put together the perfect outfit, the perfect pair of shoes, spends hours on hair and makeup in order to look their best. And that's cool. And as men, we should appreciate what our women go thru to look their best. It's a process indeed and we should, by all means, compliment them for their effort. But ladies, if you walk out of the room with just a wife beater shirt on....your man will find you just as attractive, just as beautiful....maybe even more. I guess cause they are so tight and we get to see some cleavage...maybe even some nipple action..hehe :). But seriously, more than that, I think as guys, we just like the fact that their ladies can pull off that simple casual look and still look as beautiful as ever. Sometimes, less can be more. Especially when it comes to clothes. If you don't believe me, check out some of these pics and tell me I'm wrong.

My First Love

As a kid, there wasn't a better feeling than when my mom would take me to a shoe store to get a fresh new pair of sneakers. Kids, (especially boys) would run and play all day long. And as a result, sometimes I would ruin pair after pair of sneakers. So when I would go with my mom sneaker shopping, it was kinda like a new lease on life.
At the same time, it was bittersweet. Because of my propensity to ruin everything on the playground, my mom wouldn't necessarily buy me the latest and greatest. I'd usually have one "nice" pair of kicks....and one, you could call, low-budget pair. Never was my mom going to shell out big bucks for Jordans or Air Max. My mom tells this story that once I asked her to buy me a pair of Air Jordans and she told me to write Michael Jordan a letter and ask him to send me a pair. She would tell this story EVERY TIME she got a chance: At family gatherings, amongst her friends..etc. She made it seem that I asked this of her all the time and I begged and pleaded my case for a pair. Its great for storytelling but it wasn't true. I just made the one inquiry and left it alone as I figured early on it was a losing battle.

As I got little older and and started to work and make my OWN money, there was no stopping me. I would cash my check and head straight to the sneaker store. I'd spend half a day, it seemed, looking over rack after rack. I'd try on dozens of pairs looking for the right fit, the right feel. After awhile, it would consume me. I became a sneaker-head. Jordans, Harlems, you name it. My favorite pair of all time were the Nike air Force Max worn by the Michigan Fab Five ~~~~~>

My mom, depriving me of the best of the best sorta created a monster. Because now, finding the perfect pair of kicks became my life. My passion. To me, there is nothing better than trying on a fresh pair of Nikes. To this day I still feel it gives me a new lease on life......

One of the main things that go into deciding what to wear is the season, more importantly, the weather. Most of us prepare our daily wardrobe depending on what is going on outside. Should I wear long or short sleeves? Shorts or long pants? Will it rain today? Do I need a jacket? All these questions run in our minds when figuring out what we want to wear. As I am writing this post, the East Coast is in the middle of an extreme heat wave. Temperatures have reached over 100 degrees in most places. When we face weather this severe, the name of the game is to stay as cool and light as possible. But it doesn't mean that we have to sacrifice fashion sense in order to feel comfortable when the thermometer rises. We like to hear from you, the readers.
