Hey guys! So i think I mentioned in a post from last week that I was going on my travels for a week with the boyf so i thought I'd give you a little update and show you a few snapshots.

First of all, I travelled down to Manchester on the train, Will actually met me there (he lives in Grimsby and I live in County Durham) We actually stayed in an Ibis hotel which was loads better than we were both expecting. While we were in Manchester we just did a bit of shopping and ate so much good food, in the form of my first ever Taco Bell and the best veggie burger I have ever eaten in my life from the Hard Rock Cafe! The reason we were in Manchester was to go and see Ryan Adams, who is my favourite musician of all time ever, I adore him. We saw him once before in Sheffield a few years ago and he definitely did not disappoint for the second time around. If you've never heard of him, I definitely recommend you give him a listen!

After Manchester, me and Will drove back to his house in Grimsby for a few days which was so nice and relaxing and involved breakfast in bed, shopping and lots of lazing in bed watching telly!

We then drove down to Kent to visit our best friends from uni as it was Naomi's 23rd birthday. We ended up going to a boat party in London which was incredible, it was so amazing seeing London all lit up from the middle of the Thames! We spent a few more days there just chilling and catching up which was long overdue and so nice!

Unfortunately after that it was back to reality and back to work!

So recently I was lucky enough to win a competition on twitter, yes I know, how crazy, I usually never win anything!

I've been following Little White Lies on twitter for a while now as I absolutely love their brand. They are a contemporary womanswear brand based in London and they are actually up for Drapers Young Fashion Brand Of The Year, how amazing!

The mood is a little dark and romantic but totally wearable and I am in love with the blue furbaby jacket, definitely on my current wishlist!

Beauty Haul

1. Tangle Teezer - £10.99

I have been wanting to buy one of these for so long. Everyone in the world of beauty blogging seems to have one and they are absolutely raved about. I haven't tried this yet but I'm so looking forward to it. I recently had my hair cut short again and have sworn to keep it in good condition, as my hair is super tatty I think this will be a good addition to my hair care routine!

2. Lee Stafford Breaking Hair Split Ends Serum - £10.49

Again, I haven't actually tried this yet and was bought in my bid to keep my hair in good condition. I completely love Lee Stafford products, I usually buy the hair growth treatments which really do work well. I'm looking forward to trying this and may do a review on here afterwards as I have high hopes!

3. No 7 Beautifully Matte Mousse Foundation in Cool Ivory - £13.50

This is a product I find myself going back to time and time again. It's probably my favourite foundation but often the price tag stops me buying it every month. It's for normal / oily skin which is ideal for me, it gives an excellent smooth coverage and lasts the whole day. I usually just apply this with my fingers rather than a brush because it's so light and airy and applies easier. I love the No 7 brand and would definitely recommend this product.

4. Maybelline Express Remover - £4.99

I had heard several good things about this product and have been really eager to try it. I absolutely hate normal nail varnish removers, as I usually spill them everywhere! This is ideal though as you just dip your finger in, twist it and then the nail varnish is gone! I was slightly skeptical to begin with but it really does work. Very happy with this!

5. Real Techniques Powder Brush - £12.99

I adore real techniques brushes and own a lot of them already. This is one I didn't have but really wanted. At the moment I use the duo-fiber face brush to apply my powder but excessive use has made it all clogged up and gross and no matter how many times I clean it, it's still not right so I thought I'd invest in a new one instead!

6. Ciate' Paint Pots in Vintage and Twilight - £2.99 each

I actually bought these nail varnishes from TK Maxx, which incidentally is my favourite shop ever. I try not to jump on the band wagon with beauty brands as I've never tried Ciate' before but I absolutely adored these colours when I saw them and couldn't say no for the price tag. Vintage is like like a matte dark grey with perhaps a tiny hint of blue and Twilight is like a shiny black with flecks of gold glitter. I thought these shades would be ideal for autumn / winter and applied Twilight as soon as I got home!

7. No 7 Perfect Light Pressed Powder in Medium - £11.50

I love this powder and have bought it several times before, and obviously it goes perfectly with the No 7 foundation I also purchased. Again, I don't buy this as much as I'd like too due to the price tag but there was an offer on in Boots today where if you bought 2 No 7 products you got a little gift bag for free!

8. Rimmel Exaggerate Full Colour Lip Liner in Red Diva - £3.99

I actually only bought this today because I've ran out of my Mac lip liner in Cherry and wasn't near a Mac counter today. I've had this before and it is actually a really good product, it's super cheap and goes perfectly with Mac's Lady Danger and Ruby Woo.

9. No 7 Stay Perfect Metallic Eyes Pencil - Promotional Offer

This is one of the products I got in the free No 7 gift bag. It's not necessarily a product I would have bought myself as it's a purple / lilac shade and I'm pretty unadventurous with my eye make-up, but I'll probably give it a go nonetheless, so watch this space.

10. No 7 Eye Colour Brush - Promotional Offer

I haven't tried this yet but it seems like it will be pretty good. Not really much to say about this but you can never have too many make-up brushes!

11. No 7 Lovely Lashes - Promotional Offer

I've tried this product several times before and really like it. I use it more as a base coat as it's fairly thin and I like my lashes to be thick and clumpy (as weird as that sounds) it's an ideal size to pop in my handbag too so I'm pleased with it!

12. No 7 Stay Perfect Eye Shadow - Promotional Offer

I'd actually gone into Boots to buy this product anyway, I think the shade is called Minx or something along those lines, it doesn't actually say on the packaging for some reason. When I saw it was in the free gift bag I was over the moon as it normally costs around £7.50 for a pot but it's the most perfect champagne shade and my favourite eye shadow ever!

Peak District

Hi guys! So this is my second day in a row of blogging, so far so good!

So the last time I was blogging, I tried to make it more focused on fashion and beauty but this time around I thought I would try and make it more lifestyle-orientated like it was when I first started out. I used to absolutely love writing and keeping this up to date so I'm trying to recapture that feeling.

So anyway, last weekend me and Will went to Sheffield and the Peak District, and we had such a lovely time. I had to pop down to Sheffield Hallam to pick up my collection, portfolio and sketchbooks. It was so wonderful being back and it breaks my heart knowing I'm not moving back there this month like normal! We actually nipped into the halls of residence that we lived in in our first year, where Will's brother has just moved in too. The feeling of nostalgia was so overwhelming, I think my first year of uni was the best year of my life! I may even write a blog post on it at some point!

We just stayed in the travelodge in the town centre and we ate at the new buffet restaurant Cosmo, which I didn't enjoy but Will certainly did... Although my large cosmopolitan afterwards cheered me right up! On the night we went out to The Leadmill, my fave bar in the whole of Sheffield aside from West Street Live of course!

On the second day, we thought we'd be a little adventurous and head out to the Peak District. This is something we always wanted to do while we were at uni but I couldn't drive (...and still can't) and Will never had a car! So we ended up stumbling across a gorgeous little place called Castleton, which had huge and interesting caves, an old castle and lots of cute little shops and pubs. We wandered around for ages and had the most lovely time!

I didn't want the weekend to end, although next week we are off to Manchester to see Ryan Adams, then to Will's house in Grimsby then off to London for my best friend Naomi's birthday so lots to look forward too! Watch this space, hopefully more blog posts to come!

I'm Back...Again!

Hey everyone, yes I am back, yet again. Now for those of you who have been following me for a few years, you will know that I am literally the worst blogger in existence.

I'm not going to spend ages catching you up with what I've been up too for the past year or so as we will be here for the foreseeable future. What I will say though, is that I have now finished university and now hold a Fashion Design degree, waheyy! I am now back living in the North East, temporarily hopefully and working a boring 9-5 job while I save up some money and relax for a while!

So this is just a little post to say hello to you all and to slowly ease myself back in to the world of blogging. Hopefully now I have more time on my hands and a lack of uni stress, I will actually be able to keep this up!

Expect some fashion, beauty, life style and general rambling posts.... Hopefully!

Manuka Doctoc Skin Care Review

I have been looking for the perfect skincare brand for a very long time now. My skin is pretty normal, and I don't tend to have a lot of problems with it apart from it occasionally becomes a bit oily. I have tried a lot of different brands ranging through a lot of different prices.

This Manuka Doctor skincare set is my most recent 'purchase' I had never actually heard of this brand before, but I was just browsing some skincare websites and happened across this one. Initially I had no intention of purchasing anything because the prices start from around £17.99 and I figured that was a little out of my price range as I am your typical skint student. But I noticed they had an offer to get a 'Try Me Kit' worth £15.99 for FREE (and £2.50 for p&p) How could I say no? The kit includes 3 7ml samples and a voucher for 25% off your next order!

Rejuvenating Face Mask

I am a big lover of face masks, I like to indulge in using them as often as possible. I usually would go for Boots 3 Minute Clay Mask or Soap and Glory Scrub Your Nose In It but I feel the Manuka Doctor face mask beats them both hands down. It isn't too thick or heavy and is very easy to apply to the skin. The product recommends you leave it on to set for 30 minutes, I think I may have left it on a little longer as it feels so thin and fresh, I forgot it was there. When I washed it off my skin felt so smooth and it left it feeling really rejuvenated.

I wasn't aware that Manuka Doctor was a brand specialising in age-defying skincare when I ordered this kit, but I have tried out this product anyway. I've heard people say you should start using products like this before your skin starts to age as a preventative method but I'm not really sure if it works but I feel like I might as well use and make the most of this sample. I feel like I can't really say much about the effects in terms of 'age-defying' but I can say that the product left my skin feeling really soft and revitalised. Again, the product applies really well, it's very light and airy and doesn't feel heavy on the skin at all.

Restoring Night Cream

I usually use a Nivea night cream, which tends to do the trick for me, like I said before I don't tend to have a lot of problems with my skin apart from oiliness but I tried the Manuka Doctor one last night, after using the other two products yesterday morning and when I woke up today, my skin felt incredible and not oily in the slightest like it usually is. I didn't have time to repeat the whole process today as I was rushing around to get to university etc but it's been over 24 hours since I used these products and my skin still feels smooth, soft and totally refreshed.

I am very happy with this 'Try Me Kit' I actually cannot believe they are giving it away for free. My skin feels totally amazing. I feel like I would definitely repurchase the Face Mask using the 25% off discount (of course) as it is very very expensive but I feel it worked really well. I probably wouldn't repurchase the Serum or the Night Cream any time soon simply because I feel like I don't need to worry about 'anti-aging' skincare just yet (being only 21 haha) Although I would definitely consider this brand and these products in the future!

Hey guys, it's been a while! I'm not going to make a big song and dance about blogging again like I usually do because I always say I'm going to keep it up and I never do. So this time I'm just going to do my best and see how it goes. And I'm going to jump straight in with a make-up review because I wouldn't even know where to begin with telling you what I've been up too for the last year or so!

So I went shopping with my friend Bekah a few months ago and we ended up at the Mac counter. At this point I had never purchased or tried out a Mac product before, usually always opting to be cheap and easy and with Mac lipsticks having a £15.50 price tag I always assumed it wouldn't really be worth it.

I'd recently purchased a Bourjois Rouge Edition lipstick in the colour '10 Rouge Buzz' and completely fallen in love with the colour, but I felt that the longevity wasn't good enough. When I saw Macs 'Lady Danger' the colour was pretty much identical, and I have heard a lot of good things about the quality of Mac so I decided to give it a go and I am glad to say I am totally converted!

I am a huge lover of red lipstick and probably wear it 6 out of 7 days a week. I feel like this product is ideal for me as the colour is shockingly bright (maybe too bright for some) it's matte not glossy and it lasts all day which is another major factor for me, as I am usually busy rushing in and around university and don't have time to reapply!

After spending about 2 months wearing Lady Danger without any other variety whatsoever I thought I would treat myself to another Mac lipstick. This time I opted for 'Candy Yum-Yum' because I have always been a huge fan of the bright pink Barry M lipsticks, 62 and 52 (i think) The colours are amazing but always tend to dry my lips out. Candy Yum-Yum is pretty much the same shade, perhaps slightly less shocking but the texture and application is so much better. I also purchased a lipliner in 'More to Love' to go with this. I think it cost around £14. The lipliner applies so well and blends in with the lipstick perfectly.

I am so pleased with my purchases and considering I have worn each of these lipsticks pretty much everyday since I bought them, I feel like I have definitely gotten my moneys worth and £15.50 seems reasonable for the insanely good quality. I will definitely be trying out more Mac products in the future!

Models Own Lipstick

Hi everyone, I've been a busy bee this week! Me and Will went up to Hillsborough at the weekend so I could buy some fabric for my statement piece but was sadly very disappointed when I got there, there was nothing special or anything I could use at all so I'm still searching! We popped to a few shops in Sheffield too, I didn't buy much because I am super poor! I was meant to get a £700 bursary from university but they decided I couldn't have it this year so I'm totally gutted about that! I ended up buying a few odds and ends, I got some more black hair dye to cover my roots (although hopefully going back to ginger soon) and some St Moriz fake tan (getting in to the summer spirit early) and I ended up buying a Models Own lipstick in Pink Hawaiian (buy here) It was only £6 and I loved the colour when I saw it in the store. I've never bought anything by Models Own before but I've heard everybody raving about the nail polishes so I thought I'd just give it a go! And the packaging is super cute, I really love it! All in all I think this is a really good lipstick, it applies really well and has a good texture- nice and creamy, and it lasted me the majority of today too! Although the colour isn't as bright or shocking as I first thought but it's still a beautiful colour and I will probably wear it a lot! Definitely recommend!

Burberry Show at LFW

Hi everyone, so in my last post I mentioned I was off to London Fashion Week to see the Burberry show. Christopher Bailey gives 10 complimentary tickets to our uni every season and this time I was lucky enough to get one! It was absolutely incredible, the whole atmosphere was amazing and the collection itself was beautiful! Half way through the show, the back wall opened up and Tom Odell was there singing live, how cool! I even got to meet Tinie Tempah and Cara Delevingne (although I look horrid on the photo of me and her so I will not be uploading it) I even received a personal email from Christopher Bailey on the day, how cute! Sadly, I didn't manage to get any of my own photos of the clothing because I was quite far back! But watch the video of the show on the Burberry website, you will not be disappointed!

Kate Moss for Rimmel Lipstick Review

Well I know these lipsticks have been out for quite a while now and everybody raved about them at the time, and I've even bought a few of them before, but it is just recently I found a purple one! As you all know, I have been hunting for a decent purple lipstick for a while now, and I saw this one the other day when I was shopping in Beverley and totally jumped at the chance to buy it. I can't remember the exact price but it was only around £5 which is really good considering the last lipstick I bought was 17, roughly the same price and turned out to be really bad!

Usually I wouldn't buy a lipstick by Rimmel but I think the whole Kate Moss thing definitely swayed me. And I think they're really great lipsticks. The packaging is cute, they smell amazing, the tip is just the right shape, they apply really well and are not too dry! Definitely recommend!

I love this collection so much, I think it's totally fresh and I love all the horror references, especially the big knife earrings! Bit of a rubbish post today guys! Been crazy busy all week again, I have so much uni work on at the moment! I handed in my essay on Tuesday and have just been working on my portfolio and new sketchbook this week! We got a new brief too which is all about preparation for next year, I'm thinking about maybe looking into the 50's and the whole make-do-and-mend thing, need to get researching! Anyway I have the next few days off so I'm making the most of lazing around at the moment, although I will inevitably end up at the library later anyway! I'm going to be writing my new ITCH Fashion article later too so watch this space!

Sorry about the lack of outfit posts recently, I just haven't had the time and haven't really worn any interesting clothes really! Me and Will are going to the dog racing on Friday night though, so I'll make sure I get some pics... no idea what to wear though!!!

I'm loving River Island at the moment, and also trying to incorporate more colour back into my wardrobe as I've slowly turned a bit gothic as of late!

Sorry for not posting in over a week guys, but I have literally not stopped doing uni work at all! I've been having like 9am-9pm days, it's been crazy! But I managed to get 2 assignments handed in! Only one to go on Tuesday and one on the 31st! Anyway, this is just a quick post to show off my amazing new coat I bought today! I popped in to uni for a meeting with my tutor to go over my CV and cover letter which went quite well! My CV is so cool, I've put one of those codes on that if you scan it, it links straight to this blog! When I came out of uni, it's was chucking it down with snow, so I thought I'd have a sneaky peek in River Island to cheer myself up and low and behold the most GORGEOUS coat ever is just hung there looking at me! The only one left in the whole store and in my size and reduced from £70 to £20, how on earth could I say no? Obviously I couldn't, even though I am absolutely broke now!!! I think it's worth it, I LOVE it! I plan to buy the leopard print version next! Serious coat addiction going on at the moment, I only bought one from Topshop last week, oh well!

Also I am an extremely happy bunny today because Will has bought me tickets to go and see Cold War Kids (my fave band ever aside from The Smiths) in Manchester for my 21st birthday! I'm so excited! Hopefully I can get back to posting normally again now my uni workload has calmed down a bit :)

Christmas Present Post!

Hellooo, hope you all had an amazing Christmas! I certainly did, it was amazing to spend so much time with my whole family, I hate not being able to see them when I'm at University! Anyway, I know pretty much every single blogger out there will have already done their 'What I got for Christmas' posts but I'm jumping on the bandwagon anyway! I got spoilt rotten as usual this year and I love all my presents so much, I really do have an amazing family!

Fancy Earrings!

So my love of crazy extravagant earrings has gotten the better of me again! As I predicted, my spending ban isn't going so well but how could I say no when they are so cheap! Primark is one of my favourite places for jewellery, most of it is horrible and tacky (even though sometimes that is a good thing) you sometimes can find some absolute gems! I grabbed the first ones as soon as I saw them, I don't really tend to wear a lot of gold but I love anything with an art deco vibe and couldn't resist! The cuffs were a bit of a let down for me to be honest, I just can't get them to stay on my freakishly small ears! But oooooh my days, look at those last beauties, oh holy jesus! Are they tacky? Are they classy? Who even cares, they are amazing! I can't wait to wear them at a Christmas party with a long black dress, red lips, curled hair and an extremely long cigarette holder! They look like something you'd find tucked away in an attic of a once-fabulous old lady and I absolutely adore them! I just need to buy the matching necklace now!

I've not treated myself to anything special as I usually do when my first chunk of student loan goes in (usually something by Vivienne Westwood really) So I've promised myself a little treat in January, as I've already asked for far too much for Christmas, namely a lot of Ted Baker bags & shoes! First of all I was thinking the typical Jeffrey Campbell Litas, then I saw the Lanas! Then I browsed nastygal.com and saw the shoes I have been pining over for YEARS, well some serious lookalikes anyway! And for only £122.97! A little more than I usually spend on shoes but I think they'll be so so worth it and is it just me, or they they look insanely comfortable?

And obviously the real reason for wanting these shoes so much, as some of you may have already guessed: Mary-Kate Olsen. My ultimate style icon! She wore the real Balenciaga boots everywhere, all the time with so many outfits!

Hey guys! You alright? :) Me and Will went shopping today, I went to a few charity shops but found completely nothing, which was disappointing because I need to save money for the summer! (and for rent haha) As soon as I went in to Select though I found like a million things I wanted! I love Select, it's so cheap and tacky but full of hidden gems at times! I ended up buying some black and white stripey leggings which were £8, I've been thinking about getting some for a while but could never find ones that were the right fit for me! I also bought a black chiffon shirt with a lace back panel which was £12 and a black bralet top for £6. I also bought the pink lace shirt in the photo from H&M, it was on the sale ;) I love it so much, it's so cute! ALSO I ordered some creepers on Sunday which came today, so I had to wear them out straight away of course! Me and Will went to Leadmill to watch the England game. Most of you know I am NOT a football fan but anywhere I can drink extremely cheap booze at 5 in the afternoon is fine by me!

I also did my hair in a lady gaga bow today, it went so well and looked so cute but you can barely see it here!

Hey lovelies, I've been meaning to update all week but every time I come to Will's house to use the internet (the internet in my flat isn't working) I forget my camera! I'm so useless! Our next brief for uni is to create a personal diary sketchbook based on GFW, it's going to be so amazing! Is anyone else going? I'll post pics soon I promise :)

Hey lovelies, sorry I haven't posted this week, I've been swept off my feet! I have 4 deadlines coming up in the next 3 weeks, including a giant one on Friday which I am working on as we speak! Anyway I just wanted to show you all another pair of new shoes! I don't know whether I mentioned them last week when I ordered them but they arrived on Monday and I absolutely love them! They are surprisingly easy to walk in! Although I haven't worn them outside of the flat yet as the weather here is unbelievably bad! It's so annoying! Hey lovelies, how are you all? I'm back in Sheffield now! I traveled back down on Sunday on the coach. On Sunday night me and my friend Fionn went out for a few quiet drinks which obviously lead to me getting absolutely rolling drunk and staying out all night haha! Yesterday, I spent the day unpacking, tidying my room, attempting to do uni work and just generally lazing around. Last night me and Will went to Nando's, I was only there on Thursday with Bekah and Robbie, but I'm too greedy to care haha! I wore the outfit in the picture. I got the skirt from missguided with my shoes but haven't had a chance to upload a picture yet! Anyway I'm spending the rest of the day making my white shirt toille! Hope you all have a lovely day!

Hey lovelies! How are you all? I'm insanely hungover! Me and Craig went on an impulsive night-out to Sunderland last night. It's gay night on a Tuesday and we had such a good laugh, my dance-moves were out of this world! I've spent today with family which has been lovely and also dying in bed which hasn't been great haha!

Anyway just thought I'd show you a few bits and bobs I bought the other day from Superdrug! I usually buy make-up from Boots because I like to save my points up but Superdrug have some really nice brands I'd never tried before. I got 2 Sleek lipsticks, in 'Cherry' and 'Amped.' They are really nice and bright and so cheap, only £3.99! And Barry M nail polish in 'Strawberry' which I love! And a MeMeMe blusher in 'pink' which I haven't tried yet!
