I reckon the reception these adorable shoes can be likened to UGG boots. If a pair of UGGs can be considered practical during the cold season, Wellies are perfect for the wet ones. I had admired the ones I saw European fashionistas wore in Glastonbury. The idea of stomping around in the mud without worrying about cleaning your shoes (or feet!) after sounds real good to me!

I’ve always steered clear of sale events just because of the crowd, often poor selections, and the traffic. Since it’s the first day and we were there before the office folk, traffic wasn’t as bad. Then again, SM City Bicutan is quite close to where I live so the time spent on the road and parking weren’t the worst things I’ve had to go through.

At first, I thought the sale was only applicable to the department store and supermarket even when I know that SM often hold these sale events frequently (once or twice a month?). My companions quickly told me that all the shops and boutiques in SM will be holding their respective sales, too. When I got there, I noticed that you can get up to 70% off on selected items and lowest would be around 10%. Shops like Kamiseta, Pink & Blue Soda, Artworks, Solo, BAYO, Limited, Celine, Petit Monde, etc. are all participating in the sale.

I’ve managed to bring home stuff from Gingersnaps (birthday gift!), Kashieca (personal), and SM Department Store (for Halloween!). More on these on later posts.

Omigod. I bought this adorable white sleeveless top overlay from Kashieca for only Php 449.50, half the original price! I’ll try to remember to take a photo as soon as I get to air it out.

The Great 3-Day Sale is on 03 October (10am to 11pm), 04 October (10am to 11pm), and 05 October (10am to 10pm).

I’ve never bought an item from Maldita, though, I do find their selection sleek and, sometimes, bordering on the cosmopolitan work wear sort but there are notable items that’s easy to style into a more casual urban outfit. For the relatively younger fashionistas (note: ones still in school!), if minis are acceptable then by all means have fun with this piece.

The plaid mini-skirt is priced at Php 999.00. Which reminds me, probably one of the reasons why I haven’t bought anything from Maldita is cuz I find them a bit price-y. I reckon it’ll take a special piece to lure me into spending more than I ought. Wouldn’t hurt to be a practical shopper, yea?

We all may remember our teachers for their wit and charm but never by their fashion sense unless it was totally off. For ones that fail to stick, well, it goes to show just how much effect they had. But, hey, I’d like to remember my profs fondly (ones that I do remember, that is LOL).

Anyway, going back on topic, what I would recommend is to wear White.

I know, I know. It’s a bit ambiguous. But I’d like to lay the groundwork for this one. The reason for choosing white is that it’s clean, safe, and great way to start off a look. It helps create a fresh image and will highlight your skin tone, hair and quite possibly the makeup you have on for the day, plus the accessories!

Then again, you may not be willing to go on an all-white outfit so I reckon you can start with outerwear like this scarf cardigan from Old Navy esp if the classroom has a/c. Texture from the scarf detail will make the outfit more interesting. But you have to find something else that looks similar, unless you can have someone from the US ship it to you.
