Tommy Bahama wil launch shirts created for eight Major League Baseball teams for the start of the 2010 baseball season. The teams include the Boston Red Sox, Chicago White Sox, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Yankees, Philadelphia Phillies, Seattle Mariners, and St. Louis Cardinals. Nicole Richie recently (last Saturday) debuted her Winter Kate contemporary collection at Nordstrom South Coast Plaza. According to her blog, the collection consists of approximately 40 pieces: dresses – long and short, blouses, tunics, vests, bed jackets, kimono tops and more structured jackets, in vintage silk crepe and vintage silk chiffon, some with fringe and handcrafted embroidery or cotton macramé details. The collection is inspired by timeless prints and shapes; beautiful paisley and florals that have been vintage washed and some have been over-dyed for that classic feel. According to WWD, Jason Wu has teamed up with Bergdorf Goodman to launch a limited edition capsule collection which ranges from chiffon day pieces to more structured sheaths, inspired by what Wu calls classic American style: defined waists and hues like lemon yellow, red and navy are focal points. The dresses will retail from $1,150 to $2,990, and the collaboration will likely continue. The capsule collection will be sold exclusively at the store and online starting May 14th. Enjoy..

The designers, NL Architects, are widely known for their creative and practical solutions, and beautiful executions. All I know…I’d love to be moving into this building. Just lovely.

Dear Spanx fans, good news! Spanx released a new Higher Power High Rise Briefs featuring a high-waisted panty with shaping zones targeting problem areas to slim the tummy and contour the waist. The performance underwear slims the waistline and tummy with a comfortable cotton panty. I have heard that Spanx does wonders for a lot of celebs too. Personally, I haven’t tried it because I don’t fancy anything fitted/tight/uncomfortable on my body, but I won’t rule it out. Available in a set of 2 at QVC.com for $62.50.

Robot Leggings

Leggings (and tights) are definitely getting more interesting and fun. So are these by Darkhorse called ‘Maria’ robot leggings inspired by the Fritz Lang, 1920’s sci-fi movie Metropolis. These poly-stretch leggings will be released as part of their Spring 2010 collection. What yah think? Again printed tights or leggings are very tricky..you have to have the right body type. Enjoy..
