When I saw this jumper at H&M last week, I knew I had to get it. I love that it is a big knit, which will be perfect for spring as the weather isn't really warm in Belgium. I wore it with white skinny jeans and an off white bag.

You might not know this, or expect it from me, but I am a real nerd.
Not only do I wear nerdy glasses (by the way, they aren't fake, everyone keep asking me the question!) but I also love everything geeky that has to do with tech and video games.
I spend all my time on either my iPhone or my laptop and we have a full room dedicated to our video games at home (which is the one in the photos).
We love spending nights playing silly games like Mario Kart or Buzz :)
Anyway, I though this outfit looked kind of nerd, with my big pink wayfarer and my beloved McQueen jumper with monkeys :D

Outfit | It's all about colors

Sometimes, when we found the perfect background to shoot outfit posts, it all seems to go smoothly.
And yesterday was the perfect example! Headed to Waterloo to buy some ski and snowboard equipement (we going skiing at the end of March) and bumped into the most perfect tagged wall. I loved it!
And somehow, all the colors created the most perfect match!

Star scarf and vintage bag

This scarf is one of my birthday presents and I really love it! The colors are gorgeous together and the fabric is so silky!
So yesterday, I paired it with an all black outfit and a vintage Dior bag.
I can't believe it is Friday just yet, I really feel like time flies by! But I have a fun weekend and an even more fun week ahead so I look forward to it!

Inspiration: Pinterest

I recently organized all my files in my laptop.
I switched to a MacBook pro since I came back from New York and I never really organized it or anything.
By doing that, I realized how messy it was. I had personal photos mixed my some from the blog and my Inspiration file was huge.
A couple of weeks ago, I talked to you about my love for We ❤ it.
To me, it is the best place to find really cute and inspiring images.
But I decided to jump into Pinterest recently. I love it because I can easily organize all my photos and the posts I like. It seems a little bit tricky to use at first but I promise you that after a couple of clicks you become an expert at pinning!

Since this isn't really an option, I did my best to go out in the cold weather and look stylish in the same time (well, the truth is that these photos were shot on our way to the MAC store in Brussels to buy some birthday presents for the birthday girl aka myself).

Beauty: my skincare routine

I've always had trouble finding a good skin care routine. As a teenager, I had acne and used Garnier Pure to clear it. It did work but I killed my skin but scrubbing it way too often.
Ever since then, it has been a nightmare to find something that works great with my skin.

My skin is really sensitive and gets dry really easily, especially during winter. So, the key for me is hydration!
I've also learned by experience that my skin needs a constant change so stay at its best. So I switch between a couple of products to keep it nice and healthy.
(Be prepared for a lot of "smooth" and "moisturized", just sayin')

Here's what I use:

Clinique dramatically different moisturizing lotion
This is my day time moisturizer. I apply two pumps of it every morning or so and it keeps my skin moisturized all day long. It doesn't leave a greasy feeling so it is perfect to apply right before your makeup.

Clinique clarifying lotion for dry skin
This is probably one of the only product that I don't switch. It works great on my skin to make it super clean and removes any residue of makeup or pollution left on my skin.

Clarins daily energizer cream gel
This is the day moisturizer that I use when I am not using my Clinique one. I tend to use it more during summer because it is a gel formula so it is not as moisturizing as my other creams but it works great on my skin and leave it fresh.

L'Occitane foaming rice cleanser
I had a little bit of a hard time finding a good cleanser. It was either too much foam (I look at you Aloe cleanser from the Body Shop) or too drying. I decided to give this one a try after I went back to using l'Occitane products, and it is great! It doesn't really have a smell or anything, but it really removes all my makeup and leaves my skin super clean. The only thing is that when I first used it, it broke me out for about a week, but after that, my skin started to look healthy and fresh.

Clinique moisture surge intense
I've been using this gel cream formula for the last two weeks or so and I am totally in love with it! It is super moisturizing and it leaves my face looking glowy and smooth. But the really good thing is that it improves my skin after a while. My skin is now super soft and look super hydrated. Bye bye dry skin!

L'Occitane cleansing milk
I am not a huge fan of cleansing milks but I tend to use it during the colder months just to get extra moisture on my skin. I use this one of my skin to remove my makeup and it works great.

Sampar eye rule roll-on
This eye serum is a real life saver! I've always had trouble sleeping, so this one comes handy for those mornings where I have awful dark circles. It depuffs your eyes and keep the whole eye are hydrated and helps you to look awake!

Lush pow wow lip scrub
I always wanted to try a Lush lip scrub but never decided to spend 10€ on it. I finally got one during sales (this is the Xmas edition one I believe). Ever since then, I am addicted to it! I use it every night (which might seems like a lot but I have really dry chapped lips) and it does wonders (I highly recommend it and I will buy again, but probably not the same one). My lips are beautiful and smooth, like never before! The only surprising / weird thing is that this special one is made of popping candies, which is a bit weird to use!

Bioderma Crealine H2O
I bought this one over a year ago and I've gone through at least 3 bottles of this! I use it to remove my eye makeup (I put a fair amount on a cotton pad that I let it sit on my eye for about 30 seconds before wipping it off). I also use it on my skin and lips.

L'Occitane shea butter face cream
A life saver! I use this one at night time to keep my skin highly hydrated during the night and I wake up to a super smooth skin! The cream itself is really thick, so I make sure to work it a little bit between my fingers before applying it.

Clinique all about eyes
This is the eye cream that I use at night, right before going to bed. It is a simple eye cream that keeps my eye area hydrated and smooth.

Caudalie energizing concentrate serum for sensitive skin
I use this serum under my night cream when I feel that my skin could use some extra moisture (after a day outside for example). It really sinks into my skin and help it to recover.

Styleplayground turns 2!

It seems like a tradition now, I forgot my blog birthday again. Maybe because it is too close to mine or maybe because I feel like time flies when I blog.
But anyway, looking at all that happened to me during those last two years is extraordinary.
It travelled a lot, met awesome people, shot some videos with Veritas, attended some shows during Paris Fashion week, created an online magazine, started a Youtube channel and moved into a new apartment with my boyfriend. But most important, I blogged. I am lucky enough to do what I like in life and it wouldn't be the case without you.
So, thank you for everything, your nice comments and emails, your visits and your love. I appreciate it more than I could ever tell.
Onto the next one!

Swatch New Gent lacquered collection (and coming giveaway)

When I was first introduced to the new Swatch collection, I immediately fell in love with in. It is everything I love in a watch: fun, bold and unique.
As a young girl, I always had a Swatch at my wrist. I was obsessed with them and everytime I would go to Paris, I would stare at their Champs Elysées windows for a while.

The new Gent lacquered collection consists of 10 colored watches with a contrasting clockwork. The colors are bright and perfect for summer! But what I really like is that every watch is unique: the clockworks colors are randomly selected during production, which makes your watch unique!

I spent last weekend in Germany with my dear friend Aurore.
We left Belgium (aka winter wonderland) on Saturday morning, stopped at Maas Mechelen (where I got my hands on a beautiful BCBG runway dress and two pieces from Michael Kors). We then hit the road again to Koln in Germany. We spent the night there and enjoyed a day at the spa on Sunday. We then left for a quick lunch at the Hard Rock Café before stopping at Roermond designer outlet (where I only bought things from The Body shop). We then came back home exhausted!

Home improvement

I can't believe that we moved into our new home nearly six months ago.
So many things have changed since then (thank God!) and our home really start to feel like one.
I remember when we moved it (at the begining of August), our place was not finished at all. We didn't have a kitchen (yes, I was doing dishes in our bathtub, epic time) and we were moving our furniture (well my boyfriend furniture, mine only came late October) from one room to another to allow the workers to finish their work. It was really hard to live here at first because no matter how hard we tried, our place was always a mess. A dusty mess.
Since then, we've been working every chance we had to make this place a great home to live and to have friends over.

Today is entirely dedicated to home improvement: we cleaned our terrace, installed the missing lights and improved our global organization. I can't wait to show you all of that really soon (as well as my closet!).
