Halara is a fashion designer who aims to infuse active style with everyday garments. Rather than being exclusively activewear or showcase athleisure, they try to make regular clothes but with an active twist. So what you're getting from Halara is stylish clothing that also makes you feel sporty. I will use this post to discuss Halara and their fashions.

I always believe activewear is popular mostly for either comfort or for some romantic appeal. This even harks to when yoga pants became very popular in the mid-2000s and late-2000s, even if yoga pants wearers do not actually practice yoga. Even if you are not incredibly active, at least wearing active-type clothing is simple to wear and can sometimes be stylish. Halara knows this and patterns their clothing to suit the sporty or athleisure woman. Want to crush that workout while wearing some quality active fashion? Halara has you covered. Want to show some athleisure chic even if you don't exercise at all or minimally? Halara got you. Halara claims most of their styles and garments come from a lot of research from fashionistas. They are a company that seems to know what active-inspired fashions they want to offer to the world.

Halara themselves even calls their clothing as "Women's activewear-inspired Everyday Apparel. So in other words, a fashionista needs not be a fitness freak to wear Halara's clothing. One can just be the girl who wants to look cute in sporty-style clothing, even if the fashionista is not planning on doing any sort of exercise for the day. A look on Halara's website will show they have many of the sort of garment options that will interest nearly any fashionista. They have an array of options including jeans, active leggings, skirts, skorts, dresses, jumpsuits, and more. With a keen sense of fashion, a fashionista can incorporate this active-inspired chic into regular outfits not oriented towards active usage. For example, one of their wide-leg jumpsuits could be dressed down with sneakers or flat sandals, or they could be dressed up with a chic pair of formal-type footwear for a night out. A lot of Halara's garments can be versatile if you have a keen enough eye for style.

Let me give you some video insight about Halara and their fashion. One such YouTube personality who did a Halara haul is Sabrina Lilliane. Sabrina Lilliane is a fashionista who loves cute, Japanese-style doll chic. This video shows off some of Halara's fashions Sabrina got and how she feels about each outfit and item:

My Thoughts on Halara; More Information

Even if you are not the active type or the fitness type, Halara can still provide some great-looking fashion for any fashionista. You can still even work out in these clothes if your heart desires. Making these clothes as active-inspired only makes these clothes stylish for reasons other than for active purposes. It shows how a fashionista does not have to dress fully committed to exercise to be sporty. What looks like everyday fashion has that sporty touch for comfort and style. Those seeking a middle ground between simple style and sporty style can do no wrong by looking at what Halara has to offer.

Flounce Dresses and Flounce Skirts

Flounce dresses and skirts express statement-making feminine style. They mostly have bold touches like ruffles, tiers, and ties styled in an attention-grabbing way. Flounce dresses and skirts can be casual or formal. There are even flounce skirts for tennis players. To that end, then, [at least] flounce skirts can also be sporty, especially sports-minded ones. These dresses and skirts are their own statement piece. Therefore, it would be risky (and kind of foolish) to try to be head-to-toe statement maker when wearing a flounce dress or a flounce skirt.

Here is how businessoffashion.com describes flounces:

"Flounce is an exaggeration, a frill or a flounce. It is a wide strip of fabric gathered and sewn to a skirt or dress. They most often appear at the hem and help exaggerate the character and silhouette of a skirt."

To that end, here are examples of flounce dresses and flounce skirts:

^ from: (Lyst) - Flounce dresses can either have ruffles or tiers, making them very expressive and powerfully feminine. They can range in length from mini length to maxi length, and they can either be casual or formal.

Styling Flounce Dresses and Skirts.

As I mentioned earlier, you do not need to pile on statement pieces when you already have a flounce dress or a flounce skirt. So don't go with bold slide sandals, bold jewelry, or anything truly flashy to go along with a flounce dress or flounce skirt. Since skirts are more versatile, a flounce skirt can be complimented with any such top as long as it doesn't overpower the flounce skirt.

Edgy fashionistas may opt for a leather jacket. While I think they would kill the feminine vibe, fishnet tights with some combat boots would also go with flounce dresses and flounce skirts; but again, I wouldn't exactly recommend it.

I would avoid sneakers with these garments. There are some exceptions for certain flounce dresses and flounce skirts to be paired with sneakers, but I'd avoid sneakers with most of these flounce dresses or flounce skirts.

Thoughts on Flounce Dresses and Skirts.

Nearly any dress or skirt has feminine appeal. Flounce dresses and flounce skirts surely pack feminine appeal and charm. They have the right amount of style to compliment nearly any outfit combination one has in mind. These are boldly feminine garments without going to any such extremes. Many of these flounce dresses and flounce skirts can be stylish casually, semi-formally, or formally. They also come in a nice array of lengths ranging from mini-length to maxi-length. The possibilities can be endless, so go find yourself a flounce dress and/or flounce skirt and look fabulous!

Differences in Perspective

Fashion is different when seen from other perspectives. A now-defunct blog once expressed male and female perspective on outfits constantly. What males may not like about a feminine outfit, females do. What some females may not like about a masculine outfit, males do. Does a person have to properly understand fashion to discuss it? Not necessarily. Nobody looks up to me for fashion advice, and I couldn't be one's personal stylist to save somebody's life. What I do provide, though, is my own thoughts on one's style. That is good enough to properly discuss fashion.

This blog post is not about any specific outfit. Instead, I'm simply talking about what a difference outside perspectives on fashion can do.

Perspectives: Males About Feminine Outfits.

Let me speak to the level of males making opinions on feminine fashion.

Us males often think a lot about what makes females stylish, cute, romantic, edgy, or whatever. Some of us could cringe a bit as to some fashion choices some fashionistas may make. Males could, for example, question why a fashionista goes for animal prints or neon, especially if males do not necessarily like certain animal prints or neon. A fashionista couldn't care less because she knows how to make a style statement.

I personally have seen a number of fashion blogs from fashionable types worldwide. An overwhelming majority of these blogs are feminine bloggers. I feel my own opinions on certain outfits are on my own style tastes. I do sometimes, though, feel I may seem like I am trying to flirt when praising a fashionista's outfit. The idea I get is that a male who compliments on a female's style is that someone is simply trying to express thoughts on a fashionista's style and not trying to want to be with her. Things often don't always work out that way at times.

Perspectives: Females About Masculine Outfits.

As much as males have their thoughts on what makes a female beautiful, females have their own fashion tastes in males. A number of females love a well-dressed and handsome male. Perhaps they may also love one who is muscular or just overall charming. I am not as certain as to how females feel exactly about male style, but I am sure many have exquisite takes on masculine fashion.

Final Thoughts.

It is perfectly fine to have your own perspective on fashion based on your own takes. I am not suggesting anyone is right or wrong regarding perspectives on fashion. Your takes on fashion whether male or female are your own unique takes. So feel free to feel however you want regarding fashion commentary.

The Snowkini Trend

Swimwear in the cold- would you try it? Normally, you wear swimwear when it's hot. A recent trend of swimwear when it's cold is questionable. To fashionistas, "how do you look stay warm in the cold? Look hotter!" Some have referred to this trend of swimwear in cold weather as the "snowkini trend." So for this blog post, I want to focus in on this trend. Would any of you fashionistas dare try this? Do you think this is cool or silly? I'll discuss as I go along.

Snowkini Trend

Warm weather usually means a love of wearing shorts, sandals, and swimwear. Such clothing usually help fashionistas stay cool and look cute when it's warm or hot. The last thing one wants to do is wear less clothing or light clothing on cool or cold days. There was one time where the Houston area had high temperature of 37°F, and one young woman I saw at a Wal-Mart wore a T-shirt, shorts, and flip-flop/thong sandals. Think that's insane? Well, try wearing swimwear when it's cold. This is something that took the likes of Instagram and TikTok by storm. Enter the realm of the "Snowkini" trend, as demonstrated with the only decent image I could find to demonstrate this style:

The "snowkini" trend is a fashion trend of wearing swimwear out in cool or cold weather. Think showing up at the ski resort or Winter resort by wearing your favorite swimwear along with some cold weather boots. No fashionista would dare wear any sort of swimwear when temperatures are cold and out in the cold. For some, there is a level of hotness for rocking swimwear out in the cold. The combination of a stylish bikini paired with some sort of cold weather boots can be pretty hot despite the cold. Swimsuits can also be a showcase of one's appealing looks when wearing such appealing swimwear ranging from one-piece swimwear to bikinis. However, you do risk putting your body temperature out of whack when trying this trend. Celebrities such as Kendall Jenner and India Reynolds are among the celebrity influencers of the "snowkini" trend.

Now one time, I've seen a video where some woman wore a bikini along with some sheepskin boots. While a popular pair of boots in cold weather, sheepskin boots like from UGG Australia or EMU Australia were originally meant to keep feet and ankles warm for cool or cold days at the beach. So it is not foreign to want to wear such boots when it is cold. What is foreign, however, is to expose your body on cold days with either light clothing or with little clothing.

The "Snowkini" Trend: Elements.

Upon my research of this topic, there are basically two elements towards the "snowkini" trend- any sort of swimwear and some cold weather boots. So imagine your coolest/cutest/hottest bikini paired with some cold weather-style boots. You're basically set on this front. Optional to this trend is some sort of cold weather hat or cold weather cap. Also optional is a warm weather coat. The main appeal of this trend is to parade around in piles of snow in your bikini.

Cold weather boots to go with swimwear usually is with a pair of moon boots. Alternatively, a tall pair of furry boots also will suffice. Or if all else fails... go with your cutest pair of sheepskin boots.

The Snowkini Trend: Final Thoughts

No way would I endorse or promote wearing a bikini on a cold day. It's a wild and bold fashion style to try out. I am not going to say I hate the trend. Though, I will say it is one of the most daring and most outrageous fashion trends to try. I've seen fashionistas wear cropped tops in cold and/or snowy conditions, but that is nowhere near as wild as wearing swimsuits in cold and snowy locations. If you are that daring a fashionista, more power to you; but I'd save the swimsuits either for saunas or for warm weather.

Otomi Embroidery

Long ago on "Stylespace by JBM," I made a blog post about Puebla dresses. A big part of these folk outfits' appeal is in the colorful embroidery. Well, for this blog post, I want to focus on Otomi embroidery.

I want to note that this is not the only style of embroidery; this is the style of Mexican embroidery I got to learn about as I was researching this topic.

Otomi Embroidery

To everyone who adores Bohemian or festival chic, one can find something to love about the earthy tones of something like Otomi embroidery. Feminine garments with such Otomi embroidery can really enhance the overall style of traditional Mexican folk outfits. These prints are known for being colorful and expressive. These designs can include floral designs, animals, or they may even be a combination of different colorful elements to form one amazing image.

Otomi embroidery gets its name from the Otomi people of the central plateau of Mexico. Otomi embroidery involves an elaborate stitching technique to put the colors together. These pieces are designed using embroidery floss. One thing I read or seen noted Otomi designs could take as many as eight months to make a complete piece; at least, by hand. Some designers can easily come up with these designs much quicker with sewing machines. Once these pieces are complete, some amazing designs can be made with Otomi embroidery.

Otomi Embroidery on Garments and Goods

Now that I have discussed Otomi embroidery, allow me to show you some examples. Follow along with me. All media featured are for educational purposes.

My Thoughts on Otomi Embroidery

Otomi embroidery on garments are colorful and beautiful. The colors are vibrant and really bring out the loveliness among fashionistas. Otomi embroidery can also be great for home furnishings as well. Even if you aren't of any Latin descent, you can still enjoy something like a top or a dress with these accents on them. You can equally enjoy some Otomi embroidery with household items like pictures, accent pillows, and more. There is a lot to love about Otomi embroidery to me. You can definitely add these pieces to your wardrobe or your home if these embroideries interest you.
