An Evening with Maggie Dent is this Thursday 23 February 2012 at 7:00pm in the Subiaco Primary School library, $10 per person (payable on the night). Please send return slips to the classroom teacher or front office.

First Assembly

Our first assembly is on Thursday 23 February in the Church Hall opposite the school, commencing at approximately 8.55am and concluding at 9.25am. It will be presented by the children from Mrs Louise Mitchinson’s Year 2 L9 class.

Friday Lunchtime Frozen Fruit Sticks For Sale

Starting this Friday 24 February, at lunchtimes, we will trial for two Fridays, selling Berri Quelch Frozen Fruit Sticks for $1.00. They are made from 99% fruit juice and contain no added sugar. The Quelch Frozen Fruit Sticks are a Star Choice Registered Product from the WA School Canteen Association. It has been given a Green traffic light classification as a recommended food. The frozen fruit sticks will be sold after the children have eaten their lunch and we encourage a healthy lunch box. The Year 6 students, as leaders of our school, will be responsible for selling them as part of their leadership role. We will sell the frozen fruit sticks for two Fridays as a trial, and if successful, will continue throughout the hot Summer months. Money raised will assist with grounds development plans in 2012.

The zero waste lunchbox days are back this year. We encourage families to pack lunchboxes with as little waste packaging as possible, with the aim of throwing away as little waste as possible.

P&C AGM

All members of the school community are advised that the AGM for the P&C will be held in the School Library on Monday 27 February at 7.30pm. As usual at the AGM, all positions will be declared vacant and nominations called for all office bearing and executive committee positions. This is your chance to get involved and make a difference! Nominations will be called for:

Vice Presidents (2)
Secretary
Treasurer
