I use plain fat free yogurt that I add a box of sugar free fat free cheesecake flavored yogurt. I know not exactly “clean” and that is indeed what I am aiming for, but this is a work in progress and I happen to enjoy it…a lot!

Lunch was GOOD!! I used some Olivia’s Organic spinach…2 hard boiled organic eggs…shredded cheddar cheese and ranch dressing. It really hit the spot and man I gotta tell you…so simple but amazing taste. Oh and yes a Klean Kanteen filled with ice water…it was HOT here today.

Did I mention it was HOT today? Yeah…I am excited about that reaching it’s final count wanna know why? Well I can tell you now!

I have decided to partner up with Open Sky. I am really excited about this endeavor because it gives me the opportunity to share with you…my readers…all the things I love. Open Sky has such a vast variety of products and I am really impressed not just by the quality of the products they offer but the price as well. They are able to offer some killer deals and if you follow my Mom blog…you know I am frugal, so this means a lot to me.

Next week I have the opportunity to set up my store and I cannot wait, so as of right now there is not an “I Am Succeeding Shop” open…but when that clock reaches zero the grand opening will arrive and I will throw confetti and play loud music. Oh that is right this is an online store venture…oh well I am still going to do it…you just may not hear it!

So what exactly is Open Sky?

Great question! Open Sky is a new company founded only in May 2009 so it really is truly still only in its infancy stage and yet it is taking the shopping industry by the tail and re-imagining it. This is a great way for me(or you should you want to open your own and you can by going HERE) to connect to you and be able to offer you the things I love. It is also a great opportunity for smaller businesses to get there products out there to a lot of people. SO if you have a product you want to sell check them out HERE.

What type of things will I offer?

Another great question. You can be assured I will only be offering things I have not only used myself but that I also love. I feel good about this part of this venture because in a lot of affiliate ventures you really do not get or have a lot of choices. With Open Sky you do. I will offer things like this…

A Kleen Kanteen that I was able to choose from a variety of products to try when I signed up to open my store. I love this and I will be doing an official review on it later …be looking for it.

Can you suggest or request items?

Absolutely, just shoot me an email and I will see what I can do, but again I will only offer items I use, have used and I have to feel good about recommending them because that really is what this is all about.

Have any other questions please feel free to shoot me an email…If I can’t answer you, I will find out who can and get back with you as soon as possible.

The date is August 10th and I go live! She has worked with such stars as Marcia Cross, Lisa Rinna, Rachel Hunter, Kristin Davis, Rod Stewart, and Courtney Thorne-Smith. Debbie is the author of the book Training for Life and was one of the original developers of Spinning®.

Joe over at Gaiam was nice enough to send me this pedometer to review back when I was training for my Weight Watchers 5K walk. It was absolutely awesome to know exactly what ground I was covering. The first thing I did was to put the CD that comes with in and listen to it. Debbie Rocker literally walks you through set up of your pedometer through your first and if you choose each walk. The days I wanted to see what my calorie burn was I wore it all day and easily saw with a glance if I wanted or needed to get up and move more… I LOVE that because it was really encouraging knowing how I was doing at a glance in the burn area.

The only downside I found was the pedometer did have a tendency to pop off my waistband from time to time but I remedied that by weaving and anchor through it and attached that to my waistband as well. Maybe the manufacturers can look into putting something of this nature in future models.

I used my pedometer in conjunction with my body bugg I already own and the calorie burn was pretty close, both use different methods to come to that “burn number” so I did not expect them both to be right on with the exact same number.

If you are looking for a pedometer this is a great option for you to look into. After my reviewing of it I am still using it pretty regularly…and I have 3 other pedometers in the house, I just prefer this one to the others.

I have some great news too…Gaiam has offered one to giveaway to my readers!! But in the living of it, well, it is great shakes. Because when we put our energies towards the real problems we face, we can solve them, or at least learn how to live around them.
Of course, the trick is figuring out what the right thing is. Sometimes it's physical; sometimes it's emotional. There's no easy shortcut to figuring it out, but it does requires feeling. If we're out of touch with that, to take the time and make the effort to get in touch. It can be a long process of discovery, but it's oh so worth the journey.
There are a wealth of resources for helping us start to feel what's really going on. When it comes to physical issues getting in the way, we've recently introduced a Food as Medicine program at Green Mountain that helps women start to uncover underlying physical issues that may create problems with eating well/feeling well. Problems such as gluten sensitivity or other food sensitivities, or gastrointestinal problems that seem to be rampant these days.
For emotional eating problems, one of our favorite resources is the book Eating in the Light of the Moon. Here's a review of it on our website that focuses on overcoming emotional eating, which is another way to describe how we use food to distract ourselves from our real issues. I also recently finished Women, Food & God by Geneen Roth. As I wrote on our blog A Weight Lifted, I found it extremely powerful. So much so, all I could really do was recommend it, rather than try to explain her premise.
What do you think? Is your eating and weight your real challenge? Or is something else going on that's surfacing as eating struggles?
Thank you Marsha!! Green Mountain looks like an absolutely amazing place and if I ever get the time and circumstances you can be sure I will be visiting for a stay.
As always I close comments here so be sure to go and visit Marsha on her sites and enjoy all she too has to offer.
Trish

I have and am sick. I have no energy at all the past few days with yesterday being the worst of them all. I try listening to my body and for over a week now I have been sleeping a lot more, but thought it was the unusual high heat and humidity. I woke Monday with a slight sore throat that escalated quite a bit Monday night with a fever added to it that was barely kept away with Advil and Tylenol staggered that continued into last night. Nothing touched the pain in my throat though and my glands are swelling more and more.

At the Doctors today they did a strep that came back negative and so the thought is I have mono. I cannot believe it. I will have a confirmation tomorrow after my blood work returns but he is pretty confident. I am so upset! This means no exercise for a lease a month and a lot of bed rest. How is that for a curve ball!? Well I will just need to adjust my eating…scale way back because the serious side effects do not look good to me.

So while I am here I will be stalking a bit because even typing this post up I am feeling more tired. I will definitely keep all updated and I was told anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months is the recovery time, the shorter is typically the more rest you get.

Please know I am here…just am in the back ground a little until I get past this.

Trish

UPDATE>>>>

I just got word…I DO have strep throat…NOT mono!! I do not think I have ever been so happy to be told I have strep in my life. I still need to rest but I have antibiotics that should help speed the process a bit and I can resume normal activity in 2 weeks vs a month or more. Yes I am happy!!

Thank you all for your kind emails and comments, they really have cheered me up…look forward to getting back to the grind sooner than later!

Thursday proved even more challenging waking to read I was accused of something that really had no merit, which resulted in me being “kicked out”. Ok it threw me, more so because I would not ever do what I was accused of. This too shaped my day.

I reached out to a friend, one I have not ever met face to face but after speaking on the phone, it was like I knew her forever. She too had not had the best day and I did not know that until deep into our conversation, so we shared and encouraged each other. As I was on the phone the UPS man came and had 2 things for me. Now at first I did not think much of it because we get deliveries all the time. Well I have to tell you when my oldest son brought it in it was this HUGE box and I really got suspicious that the wonderful person I was on the phone with had sent something…

My suspicion was correct! Holy Cow! Wanna see what I got?

Isn’t it gorgeous!? My #TeamTrish support!!

Instantly that fire that had been snuffed out over the past 24 hours was ignited again! I learned 1 powerful message through things…I do not have to “belong” to any group, club or sorority to succeed. I have a wonderful support system in place. I have amazing friends…true friends…that will have my back to cheer me on…to kick my tail when I need it…to give me props when I succeed! I too will do that for them as well. We may not see everything the same way but our support is unconditional, not dependant on us sharing the same view on everything. That’s what support is and I am truly blessed to have that in my life!

Thank you Kelly, Jenn, Kim, Lori, Jenni, Terri, Kat, Shan and Mo for being who you are, being there for me, for all that makes you…you!

XOXO,

Trish

PS This photo was a quick snapshot and does not do the beauty of this Orchard justice…being looking for a much better one on an upcoming post over at Journey Of Hearts.

You're just dying to know the Secret Formula. Yes?
Well I can't tell you that outright.
You have to dig down deep and search it out on your own like you’re digging for hungry treasure in Cookie Crumb Cave. You will either discover it for yourself (unless you already have) or keep trying to force someone else's formula to work for you.
But it's their secret formula. Not yours. It was meant for them. Not you. Their own way was developed through a process of trial and error, progress and setbacks, and maybe even some tears. The Weight Loss Secret Formula is NOT the same for everyone. It's tailor made for each person. What works for Cardio Carla, Kickboxing Kate, Pilates Patrice, and Running Roger may not work for you.
But why? Here are some examples:
Someone once insisted I do my strength training BEFORE my cardio, just like a lot of people do. But nope. I won't do it. That's not what works for me. I listened to my body and took note of how it responded. This is why cardio always come first.
A few years back I would pressure myself into running because so many people do it. I figured I should to. But running made me miserable. I HATED it! I ran real grumpy with zero passion, and it showed. I barely got any results and my body did not respond to it safely - my knees and ankles hurt bad.
Then one day I had an epiphany. I do not have to exercise the same way everyone else does. I want to enjoy my workouts, and if that means not running or not doing yoga, then so be it.
Ironically, I run now and I love it. My running passion grew over time. Now I run because I want to, not because I feel pressured to fit into the mainstream. The secret to happy weight loss is to engage in the fitness activities that you love, or at least like and can get used to.
So what about yoga? Yoga this, yoga that. I’ve tried it several times and I just can’t get into it. So instead, I make up my own strength-stretchy sequences in a temporarily child-free room set to calming music. It's not really yoga. It's my own thing and I love it.
Then you have the healthy eating aspect. I don't like green smoothies. I used to force 'em down while suffering with a partial gag reflex, because I thought I was suppose to love a Green Monster like a lot of people I know. But ewww. I’ll take my green in a salad instead.
Don't tackle your weight loss journey set to someone else's rules. You don't have to work out six days a week because they do. You don't have to eat tofu and hummus because they do. Don't pressure yourself to fit into the standard mold. Find your own lane and enjoy it. As time goes on you may find that your fitness preferences and food tastes morph into what others are doing, and that's fine. Just don't force it.
Forced fitness is not fun.
So there you have it. That's the Weight loss Secret Formula.

Thank you Josie for sharing this….I absolutely LOVE your last paragraph how you sum it all up! We make our own rule’s, what we find works for us!!

Be Sure to visit Josie on her blog HERE and show her some comment love because comments are closed here.

Trish

Today is a great day! The twitter party last night proved to be crazy indeed and there were many awesome prizes given away. The 2 next Moms were chosen…

Jessica

and

Jenni!

Congratulations girls I know you make Leah proud!

I want to thank everyone of you that supported and voted and emailed and DM’d me all throughout this process. I have found my “Team Trish” and it feels amazing. Some I knew were there, but others totally took me by surprise and you need to know my journey is NOT over on the contrary it has just really begun!

I am fighting for me, my health, my family and I will win this battle against obesity and though not a winner of a popularity contest…which by the way I never seem to be as I play with integrity…I am a winner. I have won. I can look at myself in the mirror and know I did things that did not sell myself out and now I still have 2 more challenges I can win…with my own effort. By my own hard work with YOU…as my team…helping and cheering me on!

The first is Of the applicants that applied to Mamavation campaign #5, the mom who loses the highest percentage of body weight during the 7 week Mamavation campaign will win $500 and a pair of Earth Footwear. And the second place winner will also win a pair of Earth Footwear, but no cash. Pretty cool huh? I plan on BEING THAT MOM!!

The second is a challenge put out by 2 awesome blogger I know and it is called “Awesome By August” Challenge. It is for 4 weeks and again highest percentage of weight lost. So it is all me…what I am and can do…with you helping and cheering me on!

SO one short term..the other a little longer and both I am geared to get my rear moving!

Then if that is not enough…through this whole process I inspired someone…yes me…The Lost Girl Diaries is a blog by a woman on a journey and I did not do anything grand…in my eyes…but somehow I touched her…inspired her… and she let me know it. If nothing else comes from this whole Mamavation process, to know what you are doing through all your struggles can help someone else and inspire them to get on the journey to a healthier version of themselves, well I gotta tell you that is a feeling no one can take away!

I feel awesome this morning and I am ready to Move it to Win! Are YOU with ME!? I already know so many of you are! So let’s get this wild ride already started!!

Trish

SO without further ramblings from me….here is Lori…
My story is pretty much the same as every woman's story who woke up one day and decided she no longer wanted to look at herself in the mirror. I was overweight, tired, and had not one fitness goal. I didn't even like to walk my dog. The day I truly “awakened” was the day almost four years ago when I watched my husband cross the finish line of his first marathon. I was resolved that if he could run 26.2 miles I could surely run a 5k. That began a four month journey just to run one mile! Since then I have run in various 5k, 10ks, and 3 half-marathons.
Having a runner husband, running really seemed like a natural choice for me, but I'm not sure that it is all that I am meant to be. After the third half-marathon I decided that I should train for a full marathon. It sounds like the logical next step right? Other than bragging rights to say “I ran a marathon”, I'm not really sure now that this is where I should be headed. You see, I can't say to you that I love running. I love what running does for my body, but I have no passion for it. Not like my husband, who can wait to jump out of bed in the morning to run and sometimes even runs again at night. It is his passion. I don't have that same desire for it. On top of that I have injured my left knee and now need to see my sports doctor again.
Through this journey I have discovered what MY passion is. It is cycling. I have an awesome road bike and I can't wait to get out there and push the distance and speed on my bike. I had discovered that while I'm a slower runner, I'm a pretty darn fast biker. I love to go out with my husband and ride 20+ miles each time we are out there. But here is the dilemma. I can only bike one day a week now and I have to scale it back because I have to save my legs for the running as I am in marathon training. As I write this, I am getting ready for a 30 mile ride and I just can not wait!
So here I am at a crossroads – a big crossroads. This may all be a moot point after I visit the doctor as it may curtail my running for a bit. I am not saying I never want to run again or that I want to stop running. What I am asking myself is why am I training these long distances for something I am not enjoying? Why do I have to feel that running 26.2 miles is a gold standard? Next weekend a friend and I are cycling 63 miles in a bike event. That is a big deal, yet why in my mind does it feel inferior to running? I suspect some of that feeling I have is based on my husband's view of running.
I posed these same questions to my dear friend Denise and this is
exactly how she responded to me:
“I don't know, Lori. But you can figure it out. When I get stuck like that, I ask myself things like: Who am I trying to please? What am I trying to prove? Who should I be trying to please? What am I not accepting at this moment? Am I any less or more by doing x, y, z? What am I really feeling? Am I acting or making a decision based on conditioning/emotion/desire or am I operating from my true self/center? Just remember your activities are something you do and hopefully take pleasure in. They don't define you. You are much more than what you do or possess.”
This was poignant and meaningful to me. You see my heart just melted when I read that because I realized I was not being true to myself and was more worried about letting everyone else down or what they might think. It is interesting to me that we seem to operate on a double standard. How and what we say to other people and how and what we say to ourselves. What I mean is that if someone were telling me all this, I would say “well then what in the hell are you doing? Go bike if that is what you love. You are not failing by switching courses, you are simply evolving and growing!” But when I say it to myself it sounds more like “If you don't see this out to the end then you are failing because you are quitting.” Why can't I practice what I preach? Even my kids think I'm crazy for even agonizing over this decision. It is so clear to them – they say “just follow your love of biking”.
Here is what I tell people all the time – find something you love to do and then do it. Perhaps it is time for me to follow my own advice.

There you have it. Are You Ready?

How was my week?
I am working on cutting back my meals to 5 or 6 small meals and that was easy some days and on the challenging side others. I did not photo journal my food each day, I struggled with that this week. Emotionally it has been quite a hard one and stress for me is a weight loss killer. Had some issues with a friend that really threw me under the bus so to speak and that made a sorta emotional wreck. I respect others privacy so kept that stress to off the net but it impacted me…not in a good way, which is why I am only mentioning it.
I am also VERY bloated, with drinking 80 oz of water I would think it would be releasing, but it seems to not. My hands and feet are swollen and they have not been this way in quite some time. The weather, while I am enjoying the warmth immensely, has been a bit of a challenge with the humidity. Living in Maine where it usually is not humid much we do not have A/C…sooo it makes it very hot, humid and at times uncomfortable with nowhere to go for relief. I am thinking it is contributing to the bloatedness along with TOM seems to be hanging on extra long right now!
Oh and THAT number will not own me…It does NOT define ME!

Onto the weigh-in…

I'm Sahar from FatFighterTV, and I am so honored that Trish asked me to share my story of what inspired me to start my website.
After years of covering the obesity epidemic as a TV News Health Reporter, I wanted to do something to help people learn about the scope of the problem and inspire them to make small healthy changes in their lives. I had interviewed many families whose children had type 2 diabetes because of their weight and it really bothered me that these kids had a disease that was usually only seen in adults. I wanted to somehow bring attention to that. That's basically how FatFighterTV came to be.
Besides what I experienced as a reporter, I also saw in my own family how extra weight can affect our health. My father has high blood pressure and had a heart attack a few years ago; my mother died of heart disease. I know that I can't control my genes, but I CAN control how I live, and I want to do whatever I can to be healthy - to eat whole foods as much as possible and to exercise. Now, I do have a thing for chocolate - dark chocolate, these days - and I will never give it up! So that just means I gotta exercise a little more some days, right? ;)
I have always been active, but that doesn't mean maintaining a healthy weight has always been easy. Life throws us all curve balls from time to time, and that can really throw us off the healthy living course. One of those curve balls for me has been endometriosis. I have lived with it for as long as I can remember. I have had five surgeries to treat it, and after each one, it seems harder to get back to exercising at my usual level. I always do, but it seems to take longer to get there each time.
We all have our battles. And we’re all a little different as far as what we need to do to shed those pounds or maintain a healthy weight. But I think one thing is true for everyone - you've got to find healthy food and exercise that you like or it just won't work. I truly believe my website's tag line: Fitness. Food. Fun. Because enjoying the journey is half the battle.

Thank you Sahar for sharing your story! I have to tell you I found Sahar’s site a long time ago and I love it. If you have not been to her site www.FatFighterTv.com you are missing out. My thoughts are I seriously need to work on revving my metabolism back up because something has to give here. I cannot keep going back and forth with losing the same 10 pounds and gaining and losing anymore. If I were at goal I would be doing awesome at maintenance. But I am not so here was yesterdays…any input is greatly appreciated and encouraged. Breakfast or in reality mini meal 1 was 2 bananas and coffee with almond milk and stevia in it.
My second meal was a bowl of strawberries and cream oats and a large glass of water.
Then for my meal 3 I made a PB and strawberry sandwich on whole wheat bread and again another large glass of water.
For meal 4 I made a ham sandwich with a slice of cheese and mustard on an Arnold thin round and sided it with carrot sticks and cucumber rounds. I am thinking I am going to be looking for smaller plates. Meal 5 was a peach…mmm love peaches…and serving of almonds.

Meal 6…my final meal…was a cup and a half of broccoli, half an ear of corn 2 wedges of watermelon and 3 oz grilled chicken.
Water: 80 oz.
Fruits/Veggies: 10
My week was pretty good all around. I saw lots of fresh veggies and fruit arrive in my home again…really frustrating how we can allow ourselves to slide. So have been working on bringing the healthy habit I at one time worked so hard to change back again.
I have to tell you, last weekend we went to a winery…before I knew Leah was going to tell us no wine… and bought 3 bottle of really good wine. They sit unopened! *sigh* I am being strong, because I do enjoy a glass now and again and it does help me sleep better…just 4 ounces…that is all. Soda is a no biggie for me…do not like the stuff.
Onto the weigh-in…
Last weeks weight: 323.8
This weeks weight: 326.0
Weight Difference this week: +2.2
Total weight loss: 36.4
I am OK with my week…not the results… but I will NOT allow the scale to define me…that number is NOT who I am and it will eventually get smaller and smaller. I am bloated…so I know this gain is a temporary one…TOM is here and I am thinking maybe 100 oz of water might be too much for me. I am going to dial it back to 80oz this week and see if I do better.
Over all I did what I should have done. I stayed in my calorie range, stayed away from processed foods and no soda, no alcohol and exercised at least 30 minutes a day.
This week I am kicking it up a lot more though…so be watching for that temp gain to be gone plus a lot more next week!

What will I do this week?
I will continue with what I started.

Make attainable goals each week (adding to previous weeks when become part of my routine)

Use my Body Bugg to track activity and steps

Attend the Momavation “TV” show each Monday night(Sorry Hubs, will be to bed late on Mondays)

Bringing Healthy Home Highlights:
Tuesday I am in the garden gathering some spinach and beet greens for my lunch and conversation begins with my DS6…

DS: Mom…what are those?

Me: Those are beet greens.

DS: Can you eat them?

Me: Yes I like them in my salads

DS: So you can eat them raw then?

Me: yes they are very good raw.

DS: Can I have some?

Me: Sure, why don’t you cut some yourself, then go wash it and taste it

DS: ok….(after he washes and tastes the greens) Oh these are really good! I think I will have some more

Now I have tried to get him to taste these several times in the past and he ALWAYS has turned his nose up! What a difference in having him help me in the garden and allowing him to follow my example. Score for Mom and healthy habits!
Friday: My son and I…my 15 year old…have a date afternoon and he just got paid and wanted to hit the local Good Will after our walk to see if they had any X-Box games, so we went and were walking around looking for stuff and I happened upon this……brand new in its original wrapper. It is only 3.99 so my son tells me I better get it…so I do. I have been hearing a lot about this guy and his exercise routines and saw for a few minutes the other day when Leah was live streaming it and love that type of movement…so I agreed I needed to get it. I had planned on doing it today..but woke with a wicked headache that has not really gone away. I am hoping tomorrow my head is better and I can get to a workout with this DVD.
Weekly Goals:

Photo Journal my food intake

Do at least 30 minutes activity…mix it up to stay motivated and not allow myself to get bored

Make sure I stretch first thing when I wake for 10 minutes to get the blood flowing and body limber

Drink 80 oz water daily

7 – 8 fruits/ veggies a day

no soda or alcohol

strength train 3 times this week

How did I do on my Goals?
My piece has been edited to add that she has very kindly and very patiently waited for this for weeks. I sent it to the wrong email address forever ago, then once the mistake was discovered I took ANOTHER forever to get a new copy to the correct address.
See, I’m all kinds of things that Trish is not. I’m flaky. Fickle. Say yes to more than I can handle, then end up letting someone down. Throw myself headfirst into some new thing, then eventually come up burned out/injured/sick/exhausted. I suppose my life is a series of high highs and low lows. Trish is consistent. Consistently supportive. Consistently focused.
That’s part of why I’m on this journey from Fatass to Fabulous in the first place. No consistency. Ups and downs. An inherent desire to sit as still as possible for as long as possible. Bursts of energy, a few good eating days at a time, taking of maybe 5 or 10 pounds. But then something happens and I stumble. Something happens and it’s back to the buttdent on my sofa. And those same pounds go back on. And then some.
My little family has kind of been to hell and back. I am a stay at home mom. My husband spent the better part of 2007 and 2008 unemployed. We blew through our safety net in the first six months, and things kept going downhill. We lost everything. And then my dad? Had surgery at the Cleveland Clinic just before my daughter was born. He came through the surgery fine, but almost died from accompanying complications. My mom aged 15 years, not leaving his bedside, fiercely nursing him back to health. Then after finally getting well, his colon perforated and he almost died again. Almost. And again it was my mother’s vigilance that helped him recover. Then a couple of months later my husband went to his best friend’s house because they had plans, and found that best friend dead in his bed. Heart disease. 31 years old.
And you know what? I could keep going. I won’t, but I could. Let’s just say that if there was ever a family in need of a fresh start, it was us. And we got it! But it came with a price. In order to get that fresh start we had to pack up what we had left and move 800 miles away from family and friends. My husband had to take a step back in his career. I had to quit law school. All so we could end up here, starting from scratch.
Let’s just say that there were many Blizzards, cocktails, and tubes of Pringles involved in getting me through those years. Many. Many of those things.
It was getting so that I didn’t recognize myself in the mirror anymore. The life behind my eyes was getting dull. My body got soft and lumpy. My stamina – which once allowed me to do things like walk every step of an AVON 60 mile while pregnant – had all but disappeared. Tired and fat and losing my lust for life. And my lust for lust. And all kinds of things. I stepped on the scale one day and weighed 225 pounds. More than I weighed at the end of my pregnancies. More than I weighed EVER. More than I have ever said out loud to anyone. And dangerously close to weighing more than my husband.
So. About a year ago I started writing DidIJustEatThatOutLoud. Part journal, part public accountability, part a discovery about just what it is that I consider FABULOUS to be, I’ve spent the last year living it all out loud – the good, the bad, and the hemorrhoidal. I’ve lost a few pounds, but not a bunch. I’ve rearranged a few inches, and am wearing a smaller size. But really? Really I don’t look a whole lot different at first glance.
But I am a zillion times closer to FABULOUS than I was a year ago.
A year ago I couldn’t do a boy push-up. I couldn’t jog a mile. I was intimidated to walk into a Zumba class. Or ANY class. Or a gym with actual people working out in it.
A year ago I hadn’t made any real friends here in my new hometown. I could go run all of my errands and not run in to a single person I knew. A year ago I didn’t have anyone who wanted to meet me for coffee or a yoga class. I didn’t have anyone I could call if I needed somebody to help watch my kids so I could go to a dentist appointment.
For some reason my brand of fatass crazy has resonated with a lot of people in the blogosphere. Since starting the blog I have been embraced and lifted and supported. And teased and called out and triple dog dared.
And I have been loved.
DidIJustEatThatOutLoud has been a lifeline for me. I’m on my way again, back to spunk and excitement and energy. And lust. And as I continue to strengthen my insides, the outside will follow suit. It will.
So Trish, thank you for all of the early morning tweets and all of the comments and all of your consistent support. The way you send out positivity is just amazing. I’d like to be able to do that the way you do. And thank you for sharing your space with me today.

Sue…you are an amazing woman and I gotta tell you I am so happy to have met you here in the blogger world. Maybe someday we might have the opportunity to meet in real life, but for now, this will have to do and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing this journey with me and those who visit now and again here.

Trish

Remember comets are closed here. In real life or virtually.

If so, can you tell Leah something about me?

Have I ever done anything nice for you?

Do you have a funny story, story of triumph, story about who I am everyday?

Anything.
So if you know me and like me show me the love in the comments section HERE. This will help Leah in her decision making.

I saw in a comment that some of the girls are getting creative and offering giveaways for a show of support. I want all of you to know though there will not be any giveaways in lieu of your support here. Why? I want to honestly know who has my back. I want to know if I can really look to you in times of stress and know you will be there for me, not because I was offering a giveaway or such. This is me, and I do not feel this would help me reach my goals, after all that REALLY is what it is all about right? Yes it may “show” I have a lot of support, but you know what? I would not really know if I did or not.

Wanting to be the next Mamavation mom is a lifestyle change for me. If I make it or not I am bringing healthy home, for me, my friends, my family! There are things I am already doing...that as a “Mom”… I plan on continuing to do regardless for accountability. I am taking a picture on the scale to post weekly, I am working on doing at least 1 video of updates weekly and that is on top of the healthy lifestyle changes I am making and incorporating moving more.

SO if you can answer any of the above questions to show Leah your support then please head on over there and tell her,I know I can count on you in the rough patches…because you got my back!
If you do know me, you know I am a true supporter and I tell it like it is. Thank you for everything my friends!
Trish
Remember do not comment here to Leah Go HERE so Leah will see.
