Initially, we were all sold on the idea of working from home. Sounded, great, didn’t it – work when you want, in your pjs with the kids playing under your desk, or wearing your swimsuit while you’re staring at the ocean on your latest vacation. Yes, working from home gives you a huge amount of flexibility, but there are also quite a few pitfalls that you don’t really hear about until you’re knee deep in it already. Here are some of them. These days, just about every Internet and affiliate marketer is really jazzed about
Web 2.0 & Social Media Marketing strategies. I certainly am. But the interesting thing I’ve found is, when it comes to making a good living with your Internet Business, at the end of the day The Money is Still In The LIST.

But growing that list, especially when you’re first starting out, isn’t all that easy. Let’s look at your options…

1) You can buy traffic via google adwords or by buying ezine ads
2) You can work on SEO to get people to your signup list via search engines
3) You can write and distribute a bunch of articles which each will result in a few signups

Do you see a common theme here? You either have to spend a lot of time or a nice chunk of change to build your list. Neither of which is a good option in my opinion. I used to do all three of these and while they all work, having to spend all that money or time get’s old pretty quick. (more…)
