Clean up the Dashboard Labels

The new dashboards are great, but the format for the labels has changed for the worse. I can't see what each section of the chart represents! Our labels are longer than the 15 characters it seems to allow so it cuts them off. There should be a way to extend the label character count or have each value on a different line so they all fit, or even make the dashboards a bit bigger.

Either way, the labels have to be fixed ASAP

Multiple Contacts to be allowed on one activity, be it a task or event! Please!

Our sales reps have meetings where they could literally speak to thirty contacts or have tasks where they could involve 30 contacts. We too, want to track that activity. We want our reps to get credit for all thirty of those talks but we all know our sales people, they don’t want to take 20 to thirty minutes to log the same activity 30 different times. Having the ability to clone activities, tasks and events, and change the contact would be a huge improvement. The best solution would be the ability to add contacts in the same fashion you can add contact roles to an opportunity. This would mean that when running a report for the rep for their activity on the account this activity would show 30 times, once for each contact. The history would also show on the contact record. I cannot tell you how much easier this would make our reps lives!

Make "others" category optional for pie AND stacked bar graphs

A user should be able to define under which condition a category in a graph is included in "others". Either when it is below a certain treshold (% or absolute number) or you want to show only the top N categories.

Furthermore, an others category should also be available in stacked bar graphs.

I want to make a graph of the sales over 3 year split out per account. However, like in a pie chart I want not all accounts in the graph, but only the major ones, and the rest in the category "others"

Allow changes in formula field value to trigger workflow

Currently, if you use a formula field in a workflow trigger criteria, a change in the value of the formula field does not count as a record edit, and will not kick off the workflow.

What I would like is to have an option to evaluate formula field values, and if a change is detected to kick off the workflow actions.

We currently accomplish this with triggers that "touch" the record enough to cause workflow triggers to evaluate, but it would be great if Salesforce could build this in. Even if it was only once per day, it would still be a huge help.

Need the ability to pull ALL fields or at least the "Manager" field from the User record in Reporting.

Need the ability to pull ALL the fields or at least the "Manager" field from the User record in Reporting. Why isn't the Manager field available for use on Reports? We often need to group by the User's Manager and currently I have to use the dataloader to get information out that includes the Manager and then manipulate it in Excel. The "create a custom formula field" suggestion from Premier support is silly. Why should I create another field of a field we already have, just to report on it? We should be able to report on ANY available field that we have in SFDC.

Conditional formatting of field values

There are times when the person viewing a page in Salesforce needs their attention brought to specific fields. This could be because the data in that field could be improved, or because that field contains something that the person needs to be aware of. Salesforce should allow us to write simple conditional formulas (like validation) that allow us to colour and format field values to highlight potential issues. So for example if the field "Serial number" will usually have a value in it, we can colour it if it's blank to remind the user to enter a value into it (as it's not always required we can't use validation to enforce entering a value). Likewise if a deadline passes, or a formula value goes out of an acceptable range, we can use colour and formatting to highlight the issue. In Excel conditional formatting is one of the most widely used features - it should also be available in Salesforce.
