I am a freelance copy editor and proofreader, and have several years' experience working with scientific papers--preparing them for publication. I also research topics and write reports and articles for clients.

My blog, Czech Off the Beaten Path, is about my expat life in the Czech Republic.

I am currently the contributnig editor for BellaOnline's Asthma site. And have recently begun my own website, Sher Vacik.com.

My interests: I'm a voracious reader--reading 2-3 books at one time, I love all kinds of music (most, but not all), singing, playing the autoharp, sewing and crocheting, I love having pets and plants. I also enjoy hiking, camping, picnics, nature, and art. Spending a rainy day at a museum is fun, but staying home and curling up with a good book will also do. I love to dance, though I'm not very good at it.

Writing is something I enjoy and the range of topics is many--traveling, tourist sites, life experiences and challenges, medical, diseases, scientific discoveries, and life with chronic illness.

I have two Zazzle stores, the first one is Czech Off the Beaten Path T-shirts & More where i sell images from travels here, in the Czech Republic, and Europe. I also enjoy creating image files and selling them at Zazzle. My store's name is Sher's Stuff.
