Moving forward, I think I’ll try out a new plan.  As much as I love sharing a little about each fabulous client featured on the blog, it’s really the thing that holds me back from getting the posts live.  The pictures are ready to go.  And let’s be honest here….as witty and charming as my little intro blurbs are …..I know that most of my followers want to see the pictures when they subscribe to a photography blog.  So, in the next few weeks and months I’ll begin catching you up on several of the sessions you missed the first part of this year.  If I have time to write a feature story I will, and if not, you’ll just get the images.  I hope my followers and clients understand where I’m at right now.  Love to all of you!   The next post will have pictures……promise!!

Here are a few from a session during that crazy holiday time.  The “children” wanted to give their parents a portrait for Christmas.  My job is easy when you are working with such beautiful people. Yep guys, sorry, I just called you beautiful too.  I think I processed their session in record time, not much editing needed!  I’ll try to get some of the other holiday family sessions posted soon.  Hope you enjoy!

There are a few images below of Jerome & Marie with discs.  To clarify, they aren’t just overly obsessed with frisbees, well, they are, but that’s not why they included them in their engagement photos.  You see, they met and fell in love with each other while playing Ultimate, it was only right to take a few shots with a couple of their favorite discs.  You know, some people fall in love over coffee, some people fall in love at frisbee.  And yes, that is where I met them, a couple of years ago, and it didn’t take me long to know that I would need to start carving out some time each week to play this sport too.

So here are my top 5 reasons you should play Ultimate:

5 – It’s one of the fastest growing sports in America, don’t be the last one to try it out.

4 – All the fun you are having will make you forget how much exercise you are getting.

3 -Opportunity to travel and meet new people.  Check out Marie’s disc, Vegas anyone?

2 – There’s a Championship Series.  Yep.

1 -  And this one should be obvious from this post, but you might just meet the love of your life.

Anyway, sorry to Jerome and Marie for hijacking their moment to talk about Ultimate instead.  Somehow I think they will be good with it.  It was fun spending the afternoon with you during this session.   Hope you enjoy your pictures, can’t wait for the big day!

Let’s back up though.  Things didn’t begin exactly as planned. A little rain caused the planned outdoor wedding to be moved indoors at the last minute.  Fortunately, Reed & Jess had a great crew who swiftly arranged all the handmade goodness into a beautiful arrangement indoors.

I met Reed almost 10 years ago, while he was still in high school!  Our families have had the great privilege of staying close even though we live several states away.  When he introduced Jess to our family a couple years ago, we were all hoping that she was the one, we just loved her!  They truly are perfect for each other and I wish them a lifetime of beautiful days together.

There are so many things to say about the handmade details, but as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words, so I’ll let you enjoy.   Thanks Reed & Jess, it was an honor to be a part of such a special day in your lives.

Check out these handmade origami birds, used as the backdrop at the ceremony.  Made from hymnal pages.  I cannot even imagine the time it took to make so many.  Brilliant and gorgeous!
Since Reed & Jess love coffee, they stockpiled coffee mugs leading up to the big day and then sent one home with each guest.  So fun!
