<p>Humanizing the image of sex workers is no easy task, but the change had to start somewhere: Canada.</p>
<p>For sex work advocacy group, Stepping Stone the aim is not to normalise prostitution, but to promote people, and humanise their image particularly when media covering crime refer to them as "dead hooker", "prostitute's body found" etc. according to Rene Ross, executive director for the group, in an interview published by the <a href="http://news.nationalpost.com/2011/07/12/sex-work-advocacy-group-tries-to-remind-that-prostitues-are-people-too/"> The National Post </a></p>
<p>This is one simple but strong idea, so well executed.</p>
<p>So next time you read the papers, keep an <span style="text-decoration: line-through;">open</span> compassionate mind.</p>

<p>This is probably the coolest TV advert I've seen in a million years.  So maybe I'm a Star Wars geek, but that's not the point here.</p>
<p>Right.... so the coolest bit about this ad's creativity is the smart combination of two iconographic toys for us boys: cars + Star Wars. It's certainly very appealing to our inner child, particularly for certain generation who probably fit perfectly in the target demographics for this cool VW. <br /> The final killing touch is having the original soundtrack music. Wow!  That's one smart move... well, getting proper licensing from Lucas Films shouldn't be that hard for Volkswagen... or is it?</p>

<p>This is old. (Nearly 5 years ago) But I thought it's worth mentioning now that we're starting a new year and many of us want to tame the Bulge and go easy on the fat food (among other new year's resolutions)</p>
<p>So if we want to enjoy a good mental health and feel good about ourselves, we better exercise and eat real food.</p>
<p>You've probably heard this a hundred times, but believe, I'm not just saying it.&nbsp; I'm not a fat bastard you know,&nbsp; I work all day in front of a computer and I know I&nbsp; really need to work out and lay off the chocolates.</p>

<p class="spanish">Esta pieza es viejita (por lo menos de hace 5 a&ntilde;os) Pero me pareci&oacute; oportuno mencionarla ahora que estamos arrancando un a&ntilde;o nuevo con nuevas resoluciones y muchos de nosotros queremos verdaderamente cambiar nuestra dieta y tener cuidado con lo que nos metemos a la boca.</p>
<p class="spanish">As&iacute; que si queremos tener salud mental y sentirnos realmente bien, entonces debemos hacer ejercicio y comer comida sana y variada s&iacute; o s&iacute;.</p>

<p>And here's an advert and its revised version after <em>PETA</em> presented a formal complaint as it shows an animal detonating a pack of confetti.</p>
<p>The revised version is quite hypocrite. The good thing is that now things get changed when PETA raise their voice.</p>
<p>The moral?  Dear agencies, please stop using animals... it's the  bloody 21st century!</p>
<p><span class="spanish">Y ac&aacute; tenemos un spot y su versi&oacute;n modificada, despu&eacute;s de que <em>PETA</em> presentara una denuncia por mostrar a un animalito detonando un mont&oacute;n de confeti.</span></p>
<p><span class="spanish">La versi&oacute;n corregida es bastante hip&oacute;crita. Lo que bueno que deja esto es que las cosas se mueven cuando PETA pega un grito al cielo.</span></p>

<p>They named it "Liquid Mountaineering". I thought it was hilarious, ridiculous but very clever.</p>
<p>While keeping people busy deciding whether they should be laughing, envying or religiously offended, a footwear brand gets whacked in almost like a stealth bomber: in a single second.</p>
<p>Guess the fun part about viral adverts is that nothing is written on stone. (at least not just yet)</p>

<p>Nuevo deporte bautizado como "Liquid Mountaineering" o "Montañismo líquido". <br />Me pareció chistosísimo, ridículo pero muy bien pensado.</p>
<p>Y es que mientras el espectador está ocupado decidiendo entre morirse de risa, de envidia, o hacerse el cristiano ofendido, un marca de zapatos pasa casi inadvertida pero bien expuesta como un sutil bombardeo.</p>
<p>En todo caso me parece que lo divertido de la publicidad viral es que todavía nada está escrito en piedra. (que se sepa, nadie tiene la verdad)</p>

    <p>Heineken just released earlier this week their latest work of art: It's called Men With Talent, where they openly make fun of the non-stop talent reality shows we have to endure and  suffer every week. 
</p><p>I can't help loving it because A: it's my beer and B: I've had it with talent shows, there's a new one every month...   Have a look!
</p><p>Heineken acaba de estrenar esta semana una verdadera obra de arte: se llama Men with Talent (Hombres con talento) se trata de una burla muy directa a los refritos shows de talentos que tenemos que padecer cada semana.
</p><p>Es inevitable, me encanta porque A: toda mi vida de tomar Heineken, B: los showcitos de talentos descuartizaron el ímen de mi paciencia. Mirá el video.
