My 17 years in the Real Estate industry to date have been a whirl-wind ride! I’ve seen New Zealand go through one of its most phenomenal property booms, watched the economy come crashing down on the other side, and witnessed numerous trends, made hundreds of deals come together, and met thousands of wonderful people.

I’ve learnt a fair bit over the years too!

The Real Estate industry is a very fluid beast – its forever evolving, and those seeking success are forced to move with it. I’ve learnt to embrace technological advancements and changes, to be ready to jump on the ‘next big thing’ as soon as a new opportunity arises, and to be wary of thinking you know it all – you invariably don’t! A willingness to learn, and to be open to new ideas and thoughts has served me well over the years, and I’m sure it will continue to do so!

With that said, the principles of good communication and effective relationship building are still key for any agent or Real Estate professional, and fortunately this is also the part of the industry I most cherish. When I look at my achievements to date, and the accolades I received as one of Hamilton’s most consistent top performers, it is the relationships I formed that stand out the most. Any agent who is classed as having been successful must have first achieved success for their clients, and success in the property game never comes without having first established trust and proven your integrity.

So now, as I undergo a major change in my career, all these lessons and memories are at the forefront of my thoughts. My move to Ray White, itself an extremely proactive, forward thinking organisation, gives me a fantastic opportunity to put in to practice the lessons I have learnt over the 17 years as an industry front-runner.

I am passionate about the property market and New Zealand’s Real Estate industry, and am forever looking towards the future.
