We got Sue to watch Dr. Horrible finally! This might have been less of a chore had I thought to tell her it had a super hero theme. Oops. Oh well. She enjoyed it.

Again, I must apologize for this recording. Sue’s failed, but B thought to record it (too bad it was too late to hear her extended laugh over my dream car -it’s a Volvo Station Wagon……….NOT FUNNY AT ALL! IT’S AWESOME.) Anyway, this recording is quite tinny and I tried a few tricks and it’s only just a little better. Sorry, we are going to figure this out soon.

We are wrapping up Dollhouse!  Hard to believe.  Mose visited us this week, unfortunately, and we had to record this one twice.  Or we got to record this one twice…nope.  We had to.

This week Em and Sue finally dive into season 2 and we are pleasantly surprised by where we find ourselves, but have A LOT of questions for the writers.  Like how does this mommy doll work and what is it’s end game?  A lot.

Well, we have reached our point in the Buffy journey where we have to read.  Season 8 of the comics are new to both of us and we found our first foray into this new Buffy world…interesting.  Join us as we read and then try to sound like we understood what we just read/watched.

*Note:  We go over the plot well enough so that if you never read these before, you should be able to at least grasp what they are all about.  I say this because if I wasn’t podcasting about them, and came ACROSS a podcast about them, I would just listen to that instead of read them.  I thought there might be other people like me. -E

In this episode Em, Sue and B discuss the last of Buffy. You heard them watch it, now comes the discussion of what their enhanced vampire eyeballs saw. We also do top and bottom 5’s of Buffy episodes and rank the seasons according to preference.

On December 29, 2015, Em and 3 newbies- Sue, Bronwyn, and Kris (Sue’s sis in law) got together in a hotel room in Utah and watched the last few episodes of Buffy together and ate some Buffy themed snacks.  Here is the audio of that experience.

Our snacks (top left corner to the right): Clem’s snack taste test (everyone agreed on the Bugles), Root Beer from the Sunnydale High drink machine, Buffalo Chicken Wings (in case you’re feeling peckish), cookie dough (Em’s surprise snack they’d get later ;)), Kris’s bad eggs (that were in fact: good eggs, but don’t tell Xander), how could we do this without Spike’s onion flower thingy?, and Band Candy!

In these episodes, The First walks among the group, but it’s not who we think it is…or is it? You’d think The First is clever enough to pull off a much better southern drawl. (Maybe it’s better than it’s English accent…) anyway, Dawn almost gets her wildest dreams met…or does she? Didn’t seem like she wanted it much anyway…, Willow turns into Warren for reasons unclear and Spike’s chip goes wonky (that one is pretty straight forward- hallelujah). While all these things happened, Em and Sue try and slog through it and decided what happened.

Eh- let us just move on- these eps weren’t really that bad, but they weren’t great. Buffy and Spike are the cutest besties though…or are they more?
