In Day 3 of the Challenge we talk about the following:-

Choosing a domain name can be really easy if you wish your domain to be the same as your company name. However many people wish to give themselves a better chance of getting found in search by the domain name in which case you might want to choose a keyword based domain name. Once your template is chosen another aspect of constructing your blog is choosing the right categories and pages, and it is probably wise to keep it really simple at first – but we discuss the potential problems of changing your categories later, so it is wise to give some thought to this, and there are some really thought provoking articles included in the links in the blueprint.

In Day 2 of the ‘Get Blogging For Business’ Challenge I discuss the importance of choosing a niche for your blog, and why this could be either the easiest part of the process, or the most difficult!

Some people, I have found, respond really well to the word ‘challenge’ and feel compelled to give it a go, while for others it may seem like too much hard work!

Well, if you are here and reading this, I guess you like a challenge, but don’t worry – the ‘Get Blogging For Business’ Challenge’ is not too difficult at all – and if it does get tricky the end result is certainly worth a little effort.

In Day 1 of the Challenge we discuss a little bit about the blogging platform that you really should be using for business purposes – and that is WordPress. However you do need to understand the differences between the 2 types of WordPress.  In the ‘Getting Started’ section of the Video Tutorial Library (which as a free member of the ‘Get Blogging For Business’ membership you do have access to) there is a video outlining these crucial differences.

I also share my secret strategy which I always use when planning any aspect of my business. The secret is mindmapping and you get access to the ‘Challenge Blueprint’ which is jam packed full of links to useful sites and articles to help you on your blogging journey.

In this introductory day we also talk about the importance of knowing why we want to blog and how to set some goals, and milestones, and inside the blueprint you will find lots of ideas for the kind of goals to set, and links to useful resources to help you.
