Pirate Cookies

2012-03-29T12:20:00.000-07:00

Rrrrr! These really cool cookies were made for my sweet little nephew Hayden's birthday party a few months ago. I learned how to make the pirate faces from one of my favorite blogs, but the treasure chests and maps were my own design. They were fun to make, but I probably spent way more time decorating than I should have ... the kids at the birthday party gobbled them up in no time! Happy Birthday, Hayden. Aunt Manda loves ya! :)

Winter "One"derland

2012-03-03T13:37:00.000-08:00

These cookies were made for a little boy's birthday party themed, "Winter Onederland." What a cute play on words! I was a little intimidated by the penguin since I had never done one before, but I think it turned out super cute!

Cupcakes!

2012-01-27T11:24:00.000-08:00

The only thing I love more than a cupcake is a cookie shaped like a cupcake! These little darlings were made for a pink John Deere birthday party. So cute! Hope you and your little ones enjoyed the cookies, Amber :-)

Dinosaur Cookies

2012-01-13T10:41:00.000-08:00

ROAR!!! (It means Happy Birthday in dinosaur.) These little dinos are so perfect for any little boy's birthday party! In fact, I think I've decided to make dinosaurs the theme of my little guy's first birthday in May. I know it's a long time away, but it gives me something cool to search for on Pinterest ;-)

Oh, Christmas Bee ...

2012-01-07T19:15:00.000-08:00

Even though the Christmas season is officially over, I had to post a picture of these sweet little bumble bees I made for the girls of the Sterling Stars' Company B! Hope y'all enjoyed them at your Christmas party! And I hope everyone had a merry Christmas and a wonderful start to the new year. Now let's get started on Valentine's cookies!

Cookies for Emma

2011-10-08T12:17:00.000-07:00

I made this platter of cookies for the silent auction at an annual fundraiser event called, "Emma's Bayou Bash." If you don't know Emma's story, you can read about it here. Though I never got the chance to meet little Emma, her life and legacy continue to touch my heart time and time again. Perhaps even more I am touched by her family's bravery and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ through all of Emma's struggles and even after she passed away. Christy -- Thank you for being such a beautiful picture of what a momma should be, and thank you for letting me participate in this year's silent auction!

Angry Birds Cookies

2011-09-21T16:59:00.000-07:00

Ok -- kids LOVE Angry Birds. And my little nephew, Jackson, is no exception. I made these cookies for Jackson's third birthday party at his preschool. I hope you and your friends loved eating them as much as I loved making them, Jaybird! Love ya!

Apron cookies

2011-05-08T07:00:00.000-07:00

There is no limit to what you can do with apron cookies -- whether you're going for a retro look and feel, or domestic-diva-chic, these sweet little numbers are made to order! Hope y'all enjoy your party, Kristy!

Cute Little Monster Cookies

2011-03-25T12:06:00.000-07:00

"Monsters" are becoming a very popular party theme for little boys' birthday parties, and now I see why! These little guys are bright, fun and the perfect scary snack for your little man's Monster Birthday Bash. Thanks for your order, Paige! Hope your little guy loves the cookies :)

Spring Fever

2011-03-11T20:52:00.000-08:00

I wait for spring like most kids wait for their birthday or for Christmas morning. I get so tired of the cold, dreary winter with its short days and gray skies. So the first time I see those fragrant little buds peek their heads out on my gardenia plants and crepe myrtles, my heart feels lighter and my outlook a little brighter (even if my allergies don't agree). You can imagine how excited I was to make my first batch of tulip and daisy cookies this year! Thanks for your order, Gretchen -- I hope your mom enjoyed eating them as much as I enjoyed making them :)

Let's Rodeo!

2011-03-08T14:01:00.000-08:00

Here in Houston, we take our rodeo pretty seriously. But you just have to smile when you see these cute little pony cookies I made for a rodeo party at my daughter's preschool! I got the idea from one of my favorite websites, Bake at 350. These cookies are terrific for rodeo parties, but they would be a cute addition to any barnyard-themed birthday party or a Kentucky Derby-themed brunch. Change the colors to pink, blue and purple, and you have the perfect confection for your little girl's My Little Pony party! These cookies start at just $1 per cookie with a minimum order of one dozen cookies. Giddy up!

Wild about Zebra Print

2011-02-16T08:15:00.000-08:00

How fun are these? I made these precious zebra print Minnie Mouse cookies for a little girl's birthday party, and I just love how they turned out. I wasn't sure about using black icing because black food coloring usually tastes terrible. But I found a new brand of coloring that has no taste at all! So you can have black zebra stripes and only taste the yummy sweet royal icing :) Thanks for your order Kristy! I hope y'all enjoy the cookies!

Laissez le Bon temp rouler

2011-02-11T13:38:00.000-08:00

In Cajun it means, "let the good times roll," and it was the theme of my dad's Mardi Gras-style retirement party last weekend. I made these colorful fleur de lis cookies to celebrate the occasion, but they would be perfect for any Mardi Gras get-together, crawfish boil, or just because. Mardi Gras is around the corner, so order yours today! Oh, and congratulations on your retirement, Dad!

Turkey Time!

2010-11-03T06:49:00.000-07:00

I can't believe it is November already, and soon it will be Thanksgiving! Thank you to everyone who ordered Halloween cookies this year. I had a fun time making them, but I gotta say -- It won't bother me if I don't see another mummy or ghost cookie until this time next year ;-) But seriously, these cute little turkey cookies are perfect for family gatherings, church dinners, or a sweet little "welcome" gift for your out-of-town Thanksgiving guests. I also have acorns, oak leaves, maple leaves and pumpkins. Let me know if you'd like to order a batch (or two!).

Wickedly Cute Sugar Cookies

2010-10-18T13:34:00.000-07:00

Happy Halloween! I have always loved this time of year because it means cooler weather is (hopefully) on its way, and we get to play dress-up and act silly like we're little kids all over again! Now that my daughter is three years-old, she is really starting to get excited about things like picking out the perfect jack-o-lantern pumpkin, and helping mommy make "spooky" Halloween sugar cookies like these. This batch of sugar cookies was for our neighbors, but they would be perfect for classroom Halloween parties, teacher gifts or neighborhood gatherings.

Gator Country

2010-09-17T16:33:00.000-07:00

No, this isn't a scene from the famous gator festival in Anahuac, Texas. It's my kitchen after making some super cute alligator cookies for my sister's teacher friends! My sis needed some cookies for her "Welcome Back" gift bags for her colleagues at Stephen F. Austin Elementary. Their school mascot is the gator, so that's what she got. Hope you and your friends enjoyed the cookies, Shell!

Angel Baby

2010-04-30T19:20:00.000-07:00

I made these cookies for our friends Matt and Patricia who, on April 17, became the proud parents of a beautiful, big, baby boy. My favorite cookies are the onsies because they are just so versatile. The baby shoes were also fun to make and they turned out simply adorable! These hand-decorated cookies make super cute favors for baby showers, or a sweet gift for a new mom and dad. Call me at 281-728-2337, if you would like to place an order.
