The 58-year-old actor said he felt "really, really tired" after decades of punishing stunts and fight scenes.

Speaking at the launch of his new movie Chinese Zodiac ahead of the Cannes Film Festival, Chan said this would be the last time audiences see him in a leading action role.

"This is my last action film," he said. "I tell you, I'm not young any more. I'm really, really tired.

"And the world is too violent right now. It's a dilemma - I like action but I don't like violence."

Chan started his career as a stuntman in Bruce Lee classics including Enter the Dragon.

The W.E. actress and former Bond Girl Olga Kurylenko have both joined the cast of the

Hollywood heavyweight's upcoming sci-fi film, which hasn't yet been named, reports Variety.

In the film, Earth has become a wasteland and the human race is living above it in the clouds. Mission Impossible star Cruise will play a veteran soldier, stationed on the planet, who repairs drones that fight off alien life.

Quantum Of Solace actress Kurylenko, 32, will play the soldier's partner and Riseborough, 30, will star as a new love interest.

The 14-year-old US actress was selected by the acclaimed director to appear in the film after she hoodwinked him during her New York audition.

She said: "I completely fooled him into thinking I was a British actress and then at the end of the audition I went back into my American accent.

"He said 'hold on are you American? I was like 'I am American,' so I tricked Martin Scorsese."

I have to say I was fairly worried about the adaptation of Tintin.

Herge's comic book adventure hero and his little dog Snowy were always a favourite of mine growing up.

When I headed to Birmingham's new Giant Screen Cinema at Millennium Point recently I did so with some trepidation.

Even the combined forces of Peter Jackson and Steven Spielberg couldn't allay my fears.

Thankfully, not only did the film blow me away and stay loyal to the film it also got me trawling eBay and Amazon for second hand copies of books I once stupidly threw out with my Action Men and Star Wars figures.

Despite doing away with most of the storyline of the The Secret Of The Unicorn the film is a relentless, fast-paced adventure packed full of drama, laughs and intrigue.

I loved it.

I also loved the new Giant Screen, a state-of-the-art cinema screen that displayed this film in glorious 3D. Such was the quality that you almost forgot you were watching amination at times.

A great film and a great setting at Birmingham's premier cinema experience.

Well if you are after a very warped, very gruesome and totally twisted film to watch this Halloween then look nowhere else.

War Games is uber-grim.

Inspired by true events, War Game sees a group of friends hunted down by psychopathic ex-soldiers, who turn their holiday into hell.

The friends quickly begin to realize that they are alone in the woods (of course) and that they are quickly and systematically being brutally picked off one by one.

They don't know why and they don't know who is next.

This is not a film for the feint-hearted, it's at times unsettling and displays some of the most graphic horror scenes I have seen.

Kevin Smith, director of Clerks, Dogma and the man who gave the world Jay and Silent Bob, returns to the screen with controversial new film Red State.

Self-distributed by Smith, it is a horror about three teens who accept an online invitation to get frisky with a mysterious woman, only to find it's a set up and be taken captive by a group of religious extremists.

The films stars John Goodman as an FBI agent sent in to clean up the problem, by any means necessary.

Disney has signed an exclusive deal to build attractions based on James Cameron's Avatar at its theme parks.

The first Avatar land, which begins construction in 2013 and is expected to open about three years later, is to be an immersive experience in a land spanning several acres. It will cost around 400 million US dollars.

Tom Staggs, Disney's chairman of parks and resorts, said the land would be similar in scope to Cars Land, a 12-acre area based on the town of Radiator Springs in Disney/Pixar's Cars movies.

Cars Land is to open next summer at California Adventure Park in Anaheim.

Cameron said the attractions based on the top-grossing film of all time would bring the lush, bioluminescent planet of Pandora to life and would include animatronics and 3-D and holographic technology.

"The scenes that people liked best were not the obvious things like the big battle scenes," he said. "It was the creatures, it was learning to fly, it was being in the forest at night.

"So here's an opportunity... to bring this world to life and get you to wander in it and see things you didn't see in either in the first film or the subsequent two."

Cameron is working on the second and third instalments of Avatar, to be released in December 2014 and December 2015.
