Hello all,

Well, I am finally doing what I wanted to do forever ago. Let me back up. When my parents moved two years ago Kam and I got a flat file cabinet that we use as a coffee table. It had art prints that my dad had made back in the 80's inside. Basically, these prints are vintage now.

I have been wanting to put these bad boys up on Etsy for him... and I just did that! Two years later.

Southern 60th Birthday Luncheon

For as long as Jenny and I can remember it was always fine china, crystal, chicken salad and flowers at our family functions. My mother and aunt gave my Nana a great 60th birthday party in Atlanta that I remember going to when I was little. I remember it being a beautiful day, everyone wearing floral dresses and watching a wedding take place at the venue. I also remember crying because my hair was so big from using sponge curlers the night before, oh the 90's.

We wanted to have a similar birthday for our mom to let her know how special she is. After all she did give us life. And she loves a good party with chicken salad.

A big thanks to Foxland Southern Grill venue, Nashville Event Planning for linens, and Craig Duncan Music for playing the violin.

Happy 60th Birthday, Mom! We love you the most!

Church Chicken Coop- Most Creative Chicken Coop

For as long as I can remember my mom has wanted chickens. She has been dreaming of having farm fresh eggs at her fingertips for years now. Knowing my family does not do "average" my dad designed and built this amazing church chicken coupe for my mom.

My parents moved into a cabin in the woods about a year ago, finally having the perfect space for a chicken coop. The church chicken coupe is the brain child of my dad and took a few weekends in the summer to build. The coop is complete with a stained glass window!

The chicken coop over looks the pond...those chickens have the best view! This helps them produce better eggs :)

I think my parents did an amazing job on the chicken coop... our family motto should be "do it creatively or don't do it all." Life is too short have an average chicken coop, right?!?

P.S Southern Living Magazine or Country Living Magazine need to feature this chicken coop!

"Someone is having a Little Pumpkin" Party

A few weeks ago I had some of my best friends over for our monthly dinner. In between our dinners one of the girls found out she was prego! I told her not to tell the others, that I wanted to surprise them at our dinner. Here are a few pictures, the theme was pumpkins and mums... complete with Pumpkin Spice Lattes!

My friend and I threw this adorable "sprinkle" shower for our friend, Miranda. Miranda was having her second little boy, Brady Cole. The shower was in April at Drakewood Farms in Goodlettsville, Tennessee. The Precious Cargo theme turned out to be cute as pie! The pictures from the shower were too cute not to share.

Morning Quiet Time: Interior Wisdom by Leah Richardson

I wanted to share with everyone my morning quiet time routine and what I am loving reading.

For starters, coffee is a must. For busy days I enjoy my Keurig coffee, however if I have time my french press coffee is my favorite.

My quite time usually consist of me, my coffee, Bible, Jesus Calling, Interior Wisdom, and the great outdoors. My sweet mother in law gave me Interior Wisdom several weeks ago and I have loved reading it! in fact, I have started to read it again.

Leah Richardson does an incredible job connecting your heart and home. This is a beautiful coffee table book, but has a more beautiful message written inside of it! I would highly recommend reading this book. Leah is such a gifted designer and writer, you will so encouraged in all areas of your life.

Stove Top Rosemary, Vanilla and Lemon Potpourri

I was recently spending some time with my lovely mother and we were having a conversation about my growing rosemary bush she mentioned this potpourri recipe.

-Sprigs of Rosemary

-Sliced Lemon

-Dash of Vanilla

- A few cups of water

Just heat all the ingredients on the stove top.

This literally smells like a little bit oh heaven, just try it!

Decorating a New House

Decorating a new house is fun/exciting/expensive/hard...all of the above! Kamron and I are still working on our house, it's not quite the way we want it yet(after 6months). However, we know it takes time and money. It's slowly, but surely coming together.

I really want to take the time and think about how I want the house. We also made a rule to buy items that we love, no scratch that, items we are obsessed with and can't possibly live without. When we moved we realized we had way to much stuff that we bought just because.

However, I do want to share just a few pictures of my favorite items in our home.

Christmas Cards- New Home

My incredibly talented Dad did a "fast" sketch of our house (Crazy, right?). I told Kamron I thought I could draw our house because it had simple lines, long story short, it looked like a 3 year old did it! Good thing I contracted the work out to a professional (DAD!!!)

I wanted to incorporate our house for our Christmas card because we just moved in June. I love how classic and clean it looks, and will look great in a frame to display at Christmas every year. What a special gift it was to have a drawing of our first house, decorated for our first Christmas in it! We will cherish it forever!

We had so much fun planning this couples shower for our brother and his soon-to-be wife! We decided to go with the "Love Struck" theme and use a simplistic arrow design for everything. Most all of what we did was DIY. We had a simple menu of a Chilli Bar, Corn Bread, and Cupcakes. We loved how it all turned out and wish the best for the happy couple. Next stop will be a little beach trip to see them get hitched!

I have to share with everyone my all-time-favorite weapon, it goes by the name of "Lemon Aid"!

I have been obsessed with Lemon Aid and Benefit Cosmetics for years! I love everything about Benefit... their packaging, the amazing products, and the clever names.

Lemon Aide has been my go to product, I am pretty sure I could be the spokes person for it! Lemon Aid will cure any and every ailments your face might have! It is amazing for contouring/highlighting or just using it as your every day concealer.

I had the thought to show everyone how I apply my Lemon Aid. I only applied Lemon Aid to the right eye (left in pictures). Don't judge the way I look, it was my day off ;)

How To Apply:

1. I start by applying my foundation first- Whatever you use, whether it is a liquid or powder foundation.
2. I apply the Lemon Aid in the shape of a Check Mark under my eyes.
3. I gently Blend the Lemon Aid into my skin with my ring finger.
5. After blending I apply some Powder and Blush.

I can't believe Easter has come and gone already! Kamron and I decided to host Easter again this year. When I was in Savannah, GA a few weeks ago I fell in love with a shop called The Paris Market. This store is where I found my inspiration for the table decor. I hope you find some of your own inspiration!

Jenny and I are so excited to share a few pictures from our family photo shoot last weekend. The past three weeks have been extremely busy, but we wouldn't trade it for anything. We had such a fun Christmas together, and we wanted to remember this time by having a family photo shoot.

Jenny and I decided we wanted to style it, so we did! Lindsey Johnson Photography did a great job capturing our crazy family!

David, Marybeth, and all 5 kids made it safe and sound to Hawaii! We can't wait to go visit them!
