It's made of stainless steel, the fingernail and toenail clippers are longer and wide than less expensive options which allows for more precise trimming. Plus, the carrying case and emery file make it a great set. I don't know about you, but living in Florida the appearance of my feet are a major concern for me. Book Review: Showstoppers an Emily Castles Mystery

I read another Emily Castles novella awhile back, so I jumped at the chance to read this one. I love the characters in these mysteries and love that the author brought so many of them back. These books are so easy to read and you can finish one in just a couple of hours. As before, this book has a great plot and is well written and easy to follow. If there is another one in this series, I certainly hope I get the chance to read it.

Book Review: Freeborn

I recently read a book entitled Freeborn which was about the illegitimate son of outlaw and bank robber Jesse James. Set in Freeborn, South Dakota in the late 1800's, this book is a western novel with a bit of a twist. Great detail goes into the backstory between Jesse James and Sylvia Jane along with the upbringing of Woody(their son) and his various experiences. Somewhat comical in nature, and definitely not as boring as a traditional western novel, I would definitely recommend. I really liked the detail that the author puts into describing the events that take place in Freeborn and the people themselves.

Book Review: Freedom Alert

Freedom Alert is a great spy novel for even the most discerning reader. The book is very well written, the descriptions of the characters are great. The story has a great plot that keeps you guessing and has you on edge at times and as it's a relatively short novel I was able to finish it in a few hours. I love spy novels and I thought this one was great. I did find it to be a little more violent than what I'm used to but I didn't find it too overwhelming. This book is part of the Cole Slaven series and I think you will find me reading the next installment as well. The author, Nelson Pahl is an award winning literary fiction writer and has written another series called The Gnomes, which is a fantasy fiction trilogy that I would like to read as well. I thought Mr. Pahl was a very good author who can tell a good story without all of the fillers that other authors can't seem to leave out.

Book Review: The Siren of Paris

The Siren of Paris is a great book that was written about a WWII veteran who passes only to find himself in spiritual limbo with ghosts who transport him back to his 20's. Wonderfully written and researched, this book transports you back to that time and introduces you to many actual historical figures. This is a great book with a great story and believable and likeable characters. The author does a great job of describing the time period and events that occurred. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would recommend it with anyone looking interested in historical fiction novels.

Book Review: Wide Awake- A Vampire Romance

I had the pleasure of reading Wide Awake, written by Jade Cooper. This book was phenomenal and had me hooked from the first page. I have really grown fond of vampire and werewolf romance novels and this is one of the best I have read. This book has a great paranormal background and has strong characters that are well written. There is a bit of erotica included in this book but its not overly distracting. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves a good romance.

Book Review: When Life Cracks

This is a very interesting book about how one person struggled to overcome her deepest darkness and is now working to inspire others to do the same. It's a very motivational book that I think would be great for anyone suffering personal tragedies or heartbreak. This book does have a very spiritual feel to it and it does include some scripture so it's not really for non-believers. However, if you have questions in your mind this book might lead you on a journey to discover the answers.

I was given this book and I found it very helpful to know what can trigger an asthma attack as well as tips on how to prevent it. I found it very helpful and very well written. The author gives the reader tips on how to control it through various medications as well as herbal remedies. I would definitely recommend this for anyone suffering from asthma symptoms.

The author has published thirty-two peer-reviewed medical research articles and received numerous medical research awards from the central government, national professional societies, and academia.

Did you ever wonder what happened to literary works like the ones that we read in high school and college? I remember how much I loved poetry and prose in high school because it was a such a challenge to find the true meaning behind the poems and literary works. Melpomene is a great collection of works that are filled with sorrowful and beautiful poetry. I think it's fitting that it's named Melpomene after the Greek Muse of Tragedy. This book is a definite must read if you have any interest in great literary works.

Book Review: Deadly Liaisons

I had the pleasure of reading Deadly Liaisons, written by Jessica C. Agnew. Jessica Agnew is a freelance novelist; who specializes in vampire romance. She was born in Rockford, IL and early in her life she showed a interest in vampire romance. Her debut novel Deadly Liaisons is the product five years in the making.

This book is a great read. Not only did the story have me captivated from the first page, but the characters are dynamic and very well written. This story is full of interesting characters from werewolves and vampires and humans to something the author calls Orderlies. The story is a mix of suspense, romance, and drama. If you like vampire or werewolf novels, you will love this book!!

I have a lot of goals for the New Year so when looking for ways to achieve them I decided to read up on some personal growth books. I found this book very easy to follow and very helpful and would recommend it to anyone looking to make a change or accomplish some life goals.

Book Review: Quexistence: The Quest for the Meaning of Existence Dreams

This book is a thought provoking collection of short stories about one mans quest to find the meaning of his existence and how that quest leads him to find the girl of his dreams. This quest finds Gork examining his dreams to find answers to the meaning of life. The book has well defined characters and is fairly easy to follow. I enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone looking for something a little different that will allow you to examine that questions in your mind.

Book Review: For Weight Watchers A Baby Food Diet

While I don't think this is the diet for me, there are some people who could benefit from the baby food diet. For those of you who hate counting calories and keeping track of portions, this might be a good option. The book is well put together and clearly outlines the baby diet as well as gives the reader a basic overview of nutrition and calorie restrictive dieting. I thought this was a very comprehensive book and would recommend for anyone who is serious about losing weight but needing a very regimented diet.

I recently read this Ebook and was absolutely to find such a wealth of information in an Ebook. I have considered video marketing for quite some time, but this book really stresses how easy and important it really is. I really like the fact that video can be used to boost SEO, so I will be using this for both my blogs and my day job. Not only does this book offer good examples of why you need to do video marketing but it also gives you steps on how to make the videos and optimize them for your needs. I would definitely recommend this book for anyone involved in blogging or marketing of any kind.

Book Review: Red Blitz by James Raven

I started reading this book over the weekend and was amazed at how fast I was drawn into the story. The book is set in Venice and the character are well defined. The descriptions throughout the story help to draw the reader in and introduce you to his world. There was a lot of action throughout the book, and it was so well written that it made it feel like you were there. This was great book that I would highly recommend to anyone.

Did you know that you can actually buy diplomas and college degrees for novelty purposes? I had no idea that you could do that until I ran across this website. It's actually pretty cool, because as a mom you can use it as an incentive to get your kids thinking seriously about college. My 10 year old daughter is an avid gamer and loves to play on her DS and the WII. Although, we don't have an Xbox she's always said that she wanted one but they are a little out of my budget for now. Book Review: When the Siren Calls by Tom Barry

While this book is not the type of book that I would normally read, I immediately found this book and the authors words captivating and hard to put down. As the first in a trilogy, I found it to be an intriguing story that is filled with elements of high drama, seduction, and so much more. The book was well written and the characters were clearly defined. Like 50 Shades, this book is filled with sex but not so much to make me feel uncomfortable, and the ending of this book made me want to start the next one right away. If this sounds interesting to you, I would suggest you give it a shot. You won't be sorry.

Book Review: Boundary Road by Gord Cummings

This book was not one that I would normally read as it was a little graphic for my taste but it did remind me a lot of my high school days. As a female, I was never quite so aware of how the male mind works when it comes to certain things but I have to say this book gave me a little more insight into that. If you are looking for an interesting read and you're not afraid something that's a little racy, I would definitely give it a go.

Book Reviews: Secrets of Extreme Fitness Vol 1 and 2

I had the pleasure of reading the Secrets of Extreme Fitness Volumes 1 and 2 and was very impressed with the workouts. Both books were well written and well put together although they are a much more intense workout than I can handle. Volume 1 does a great job of introducing you to Tapout XT an MMA workout out that I had heard about, but never known anyone who has done it. It looks like a lot of fun though some maybe some of my P90X friends might like it. :) If you are serious about getting fit and healthy, then this is the book for you.

Volume 2 breaks the program down and shows you how you can use it to improve your fitness in 60 days. I do feel that this program is more for someone who has at least some physical abilities not necessarily for someone who's carrying around 100 extra pounds like me. Definitely worth checking out though.

Book Review: Small Bites: Life Lessons

I was given this book by the author and had the pleasure of reading it. The author is a former U.S. Air Force Pilor and has put his business and personal knowledge together as a compilation of thoughts and ideas and put it into book form. There were some management tools that I have seen before that were mentioned in this book and some that I had not. All in all, I found it very interesting and helpful no matter what stage of your life you may be in. As a side note: I noticed that the author is donating some of the proceeds to Operation Smile and Habitat for Humanity and I really want to commend him for that.
