Cropped denim and cropped tops are a music festival staple! Coachella attendee and blogger, Trop Rouge, looked über-stylish in a cropped, black-and-white-striped blouse and cut-off denim shorts. We love that she finished it off with neon flats to add a pop of color!

In search of a look on the safer side? Go for a fun printed tee, destroyed denim (whether in short or capri form), and be sure to bring an oversized hat and a pair of chic aviators to protect yourself from the heat and sunshine. Sincerely, Jules looked cute and casual, completing the look with lots of colorful arm candy (and a ginormous slice of watermelon)!

If you have a fun, flirty style, music festivals are the perfect place to let your inner fashionista run free! How boho-chic does fashion blogger Song of Style look in a high-waisted floral skirt and ruffled bikini top? As for accessories, go for brightly-colored sandals, aviator sunglasses, and a floral crown.

In the heat of summer, you just want to be cool and comfortable — while still staying at the top of your fashion game! Maxis are a perfect way to do just that. From plain-colored skirts to printed maxi dresses like the one worn by Good, Bad, and Fab, this is a versatile style that can be worn on all body types. Pair it with a bright crossbody bag, fun hat, and unique sunglasses like these tortoise cat eye sunglasses.

Hmm…some of this looks familiar. Are you catching on to the summer music festival trends yet? This Windsor style blogger layered simple tanks over a knotted, tie-dye maxi skirt, and accessorized with a fringe bag, studded sandals, floral crown, and oversized sunglasses.

This style blogger from Spaz Magazine didn’t let it get her down that she couldn’t make it to Coachella this year — she still wore her music festival-inspired gear to join the fun! Plus, they’re an effortless outfit addition for road trips, music festivals, and outdoor parties this spring!

Looking for something more sporty? The reflective shades on Jason Derulo are the perfect option! With a square shape, these futuristic sunnies are both fresh and versatile — especially paired with a leather jack, basic tee, and jeans. 1. Walk/Jog/Run

Whether you like to go on a morning run or take an evening walk to clear your head, it’s time to put away that treadmill and get outside! Gather some friends together and head to the park — or take a few laps around your neighborhood. Spring is the best time to experience new trails in your area, too. Just be sure to check the forecast before your trek!

2. Train for a Mini

Training for a mini marathon or charity run can be rewarding in more ways than one. While you may think running such a long distance is impossible, there are programs out there that can help you prepare, by detailing exactly what you need to do each day leading up to the race. It may seem tough at first, but you’ll build endurance, strengthen your muscles, and run farther in just a few months! Do some research, and start training today.

3. Ride a Bike

Bike riding is one of those workouts that just doesn’t seem like work. You may not realize it while you’re pedaling, but your glutes, hamstrings, and quadriceps will be burning later! Pack up your bike, and head somewhere scenic to take your mind off of the exercise and simply enjoy the weather! Oh, and be sure to wear a helmet.

4. Go Rollerblading

Rollerblading is another enjoyable option for outdoor exercise — and it’ll probably remind you of how much you loved it as a little kid! Rollerblading also gives a crazy-good workout to your legs, butt, hips, and lower back muscles, too. If you choose this option, be sure to wear the proper safety gear, including a helmet and knee/elbow pads.

5. Go Hiking

Often considered a leisure activity, hiking can be very strenuous on the body! Round up a group of friends, your significant other, or your whole family, and head out on an adventure. Just be sure to stay in unrestricted areas, such as on park trails, and never go alone!

6. Try a New Sport

Why not turn your exercise regimen into a game? Pick up a game of basketball, tennis, or golf to work those muscles. Whatever you decide to do, just get outside and get moving!

Level One: Exfoliate

While you may be heading to the beach, it’s probably still pretty dry and cold where you live. This may have left you with dry, flaky skin. Using a good exfoliator is a must to remove this dead skin! Invest in a body scrub and a good loofah — and get to work! Do this multiple times a week in the month leading up to your departure and throughout the spring season.

Level Two: Give yourself a facial

Whether you have dry skin or oily skin, getting a facial is an essential step in your Spring Break Beauty Bootcamp! If you don’t have the cash to have one done professionally (lets face it, you have just enough cash to get to the shore!), there are hundreds of at-home recipes you can try. Search Pinterest to find a good one, and get your girls together for a night of primping!

Level Three: Moisturize

Keeping your skin moist is the key to getting a golden-bronze tan, and avoiding a painful and dangerous burn. Seek both a face and an all-over body moisturizer for beautiful skin. Aren’t sure what is a good product for your skin type? Head to your local beauty store or makeup counter and ask the professionals for a recommendation!

Level Four: Firm it up!

Okay, whether you are working out or not, you can’t go wrong with a firming product for those “problem areas.” Available at your local drugstore, these products firm the skin and turn those problems into assets. Work it, girl!

Level Five: Tan — the sunless way!

Are you thinking about heading to the tanning salon to jumpstart your glow before you hit the road? Tsk, tsk…you know tanning is dangerous! While many shy away from them, we love sunless tanning products. We suggest splurging for a high-end product from the department store makeup counter. Not only will you avoid looking like a cheeto, but compared to the price of just one spray tan, you are still saving! (Psst…we love Jergens Natural Glow products, too!)

Level Six: Shop for sunscreen

While you might think the most important item in your bag is a new bikini, we think it’s sunscreen! Check out our Healthy Glow infographic for more detailed information on choosing SPF for your skin type, and don’t forget to protect your lips as well!

Last spring, paisley and animal print were in, and this spring it’s all about bold stripes! The above looks, also incorporating the up-and-coming black and white trend, display a third trend to expect this season, which is menswear. Be on the lookout for smoking jackets, tailored blazers, and long short suits. Whether horizontal, vertical, or even chevron, stripes are a must-wear!

Bold Brights

Can you say spring break in Cozumel? Its no surprise that bright, flashy colors were splashed across the catwalk during Fashion Week. This bright and sassy mini tank dress by Japanese designer Kenzo (left) also incorporates that seductively high-slit that was all over the runway. Hot, right?! I foresee many lunges in my future…

Haute Handbags

It’s time to trade your oversized handbag in for something much smaller! Small, structured shoulder bags, tiny messengers, satchels, and overly accented clutches were presented in a variety of hues ranging from neutrals to brights and metallics. This neon messenger is a perfectly sized bag in a hot color we love.

Harness Tops

This past year, Fifty Shades of Grey swept the nation and left women everywhere swooning over a fictional love story. It appears that designers were also inspired! Harness tops made an appearance in many collections, including Jason Wu, BCBG, and Hervé Léger. From tops to dresses, these looks also often incorporate another sexy tidbit: leather!

Statement Sunglasses

When it comes to sunglasses this spring, it’s all about going bold. Floral details, punchy colors, and elaborate embellishments are popping up all over, from the runway to the accessory racks. Capitalize on this trend by looking for frames with unique plastic detailing, like these. Also, cat eyes still reign supreme this season and we love this printed pair for sunny days ahead!
