What are Star Trek Sunglasses, you ask? These are sunglasses that are inspired by the VISOR (Visual Instrument and Sensory Organ Replacement) that Geordi La Forge (played by LeVar Burton) wears in Star Trek. Geordi is blind by the VISOR allows him to see.

Hopefully these sunglasses are more comfortable than the VISOR that Levar Burton had to wear in his role. Levar said the VISOR was “pretty much a living hell… 85 to 90 per cent of my vision is taken away when the VISOR goes on.” Levar also once mentioned the daily headaches he got from the device which actually used screws and flanges to stay in place on his head.

I’m sure Fergie’s Star Trek Sunglasses are more comfortable than the VISOR. I still need to find out exactly what type of sunglasses they are. Anyone know for sure?

I love these Urban Fashion Modified Grill Aviator Sunglasses from GogglesandGlasses.com. Check out the video below for my review. They’ve got really sturdy metal frames and gradient lenses. But the grill in the middle is what really separates these stunna shades from some of the other aviators out there.

Paris Hilton is partnering with Gripping Eyewear, Inc. on this new sunglasses line. I confess that I’m not a huge Paris fan, but most everything she does gets lots of attention and this should be no different. I’m interested in seeing how this sunglasses line works out. Are you?
