Though the movie become a huge success it received mixed reception from the critics. A common man go to the cinema hall to relax and enjoy the cinema. He seeks entertainment and Premam provides what an audience want- Entertainment. In an interview the director of the movie Alphonse Puthren said that there is nothing new in the &nbsp;movie Premam. It is just a routine movie with a routine storyline and it is. But it's style of narration and the performance by the artists was awesome which took the movie to another level.
