sunlovey forever

a sun dappled wintry day in sofla.

2013-01-27T12:46:00.001-08:00

yeah, this is january in south florida.
yeah, i'm somewhat terrified of zipping down the intracoastal as the driver.
yeah my fuzzy free people sweater, a gift from my dad in honor of my mom looks fab with spring awakening (the major necklace i'm wearing).
yeah, i'm obsessed with spring awakening.
yeah, equally obsessed with my spode-like nail polish & brocade shorts too.
yeah.

P.S. Some French sound for you (& me), per usual, discovered thanks to Hipster Runoff. The remix is waaaaay more dancey fancy, as you will feeeeeel in the youtube vid below, but I did find the orig. version as a FREE download, so have at it.

Styling my 1st Stella & Dot Trunk Show

2012-11-29T18:42:00.000-08:00

Tomorrow is my 1st live Stella & Dot trunk show! So last night & today I spent time styling it. Thought I'd share my photos. Merci, to my fab neighbor for letting me try a look on her. I called it postcards from Palm Beach. She loved. Let the fashionable fun begin tomorrow, I love draping people in jewels. I do...

MAXImum Sparkle x3.

2012-11-28T11:21:00.001-08:00

Know me and know I rarely ever show up in a maxi. But when I spotted this sparkling beaded maxi skirt in Little Five Points, Atlanta I swooned. AND I scored... $15!! That's sparkle #1.

Sparkle #2 would be the fabulous glass of champagne I hold in my hand throughout this entire post, strolling in the beautiful backyard of my dear friend's grandmother's on Thanksgiving day... Cheers!

And sparkle #3 you ask? My new, stylishly exciting venture into Stella & Dot as a sales stylist. Wish me luck! As a stay at home mommy, I miss the "fashion world" & this is my foray back into it. Glinting, gleaming, shimmering, shining accessories... #LOVE. My 1st two Stella & Dot acquisitions below... the 1st a celebration of L, with a Leo charm, L charm & peridot (august birthstone) charm.

Do check it out.

Would just ♥ your support,

fellow fashion lovers.

Hope this finds you reveling in the beauty and fabulousness of the season.

today called for skinnies in bloom

2012-11-04T15:46:00.003-08:00

Set out today in my fave jeans of the moment. Yep, loud, saturated blossoming ones. Blooming shoes too! and a metal-trim lace tank. Oh & how could a plaid-loving girl forget? A plaid bow headband. My best accessory and I went to a party and then to our neighborhood pond to feed the ducks. Perhaps more on the party later... Don't you adore L's little convertible Red Flyer?
I leave you with Wild Nothing's Paradise featuring vocals by Michelle Williams. I am so in love with this track... You'll find it at the bottom of this post. Prepare to swoon.

a hurricane churning out in the atlantic allowed me to dig up another pair of boots... well, booties. or rain booties, rather. mod much? acquired these inky black shoes in london back in '95. found them and shined them up today. it's raining it's pouring, why not?

ha, made me think of this track by tears for fears for some reason... mod world, mad world, england, the old days, you know...?

ha, well sort of. i AM still in shorts aren't i? it's still blazing in the FL, so today i stayed in all day, put on boots and my faux-leather bomber and daydreamed about falling leaves, a chill in the air, a chance to embrace fall fashion. c'est la vie. oh & i leave you with OMD...

love & miss you,

just back from tennessee, loveys. road tripped it up there for one of my beautiful sparkling sister's weddings. yep. two. one traditional. one buddhist. both beautiful.

wore a gold hi-lo dress from H&M to the first, with a fab necklace from forever 21.(the bride wore Amsale.) wore a shining silver dress by muse to the other with a glitzy necklace from ann taylor loft. squeezed in a stroll down nashville's broadway in between. WHAT an adventure...

Celebrating Life

2012-09-04T17:05:00.004-07:00

i've only been to 3,000 one-year-old birthday parties in the last two months. many of which were pool parties. however this one was surprisingly sparkling! we celebrated my brazilian friend marili's mini-super-model gabriella's 1st on a gorgeous south florida day overlooking the intracoastal waterway. marili soundtracked the party with fun '80s pop. spunky gabby was born on my dear mother's birthday, making her all the more special.

was pretty, precious & sweet.

the party was planned down to every monstery detail, except, what -i- would wear to celebrate my dear L's very first birthday. alas, i spotted it, in such fabulous shades of blue and green—a belted sheath by muse. 'twas perfect! cotton, chic, comfy WITH pockets!!! sparkling silver glitter wedges by nine west... WHAT a fab party!

sometimes a lazy saturday calls for a flirty dress even if you're doing nothing extraordinary. you know, just because the frock itself is kinda fab and you want to go outside and feel sunshine on your shoulders. voila. scored at TJ Maxx. Hat & Necklace on super duper clearance at Target. Gold wedges—a Boston Proper sample sale. See? So right for an easy summer Saturday...

i'm not dead.

2012-07-10T17:48:00.002-07:00

ok so yeah, i'm not dead. i'm just hanging by a thread, that's all. life is nuts. but i still get dressed, i do. just oftentimes, it's not blog worthy. sad. i know! trust me, i know! ah, mommyhood. my closet is a fabulous museum that i rarely even visit. again, sad. but i scored this brilliant top at zara in DC over the holiday and it inspired me to post. it's bad to the bone, literally, but also, hilarious... it reads: a lovely crazy fast star. HUH? yeah, i love shirts printed with english in foreign lands. i don't get it, but i #LOVE it. tossed it on over my bright yellow skinnies, a pair of black eyelet wedges and a sparkly antique-look bracelet. OH & my ALS bracelet. miss you, love you, can't bear life without you mom.

one last post...

before i kiss rojo adios.

truth be told, i do think blondes have more fun.

(no offense redheads!!!)

however, i was blonde pre-L.

so we'll see...

anyhow, it's an endless summer where sunlovey lives.

so a glittery tank and sweet plaid shorts are so right.

sparkly blooms on my shoes begged for a bloom-esque necklace.

love to you all!

see you on the other side.

i kind of want to cry when i consider what i'm about to type. this girl, yes, me, is in need of sensible shoes. shoes i'm not afraid to carry L in. shoes that don't kill me on long stroller walks in scalding hot south florida. shoes that don't seem too too too out of place at the eeeeeeek, library. oh well. it is what it is. i found these blooming beauties by born yesterday at TJ Maxx and made them mine. you like? or loathe? all my sky high beauties are gathering dust at the moment. can someone local invite me to a girls' night out or happy hour so i can dust them off?! geez. ;-)

love,

sunlovey

p.s. this page was in L's book this afternoon. so not the case right now. irony.
