Place your tree away from heat sources when you take it home.  It’s a good idea to keep it away from heating vents, fireplaces, wood stoves, television sets or sunny windows.  The “cooler” the better for your tree, this includes as little lighting as possible.

Your Christmas Tree will also drink a lot of water.  Be sure to keep your stand full of water.   Your Christmas Tree can drink up to gallon of water per day!  If the water level drops below the cut end of the trunk, a seal will form and no more water will be absorbed by the tree unless another cut is made.  So, don’t forget to add water every day!
