I have waited a very long time for Max Payne 3.The game was originally scheduled for release in late 2009. However, it was pushed back to 2010 alongside several other Take-Two Interactive franchises in order to "benefit from having more development time." In June 2010, the game was again pushed back to 2011. On December 21, it was not present on the 2011-2012 calendar year, and was pushed back again. The game was still said to be in development and not cancelled or indefinitely halted when Rockstar released two new screenshots for the game . On September 8, 2011 Rockstar announced a March 2012 release date for the game, and a trailer of the same was released on September 14.

Definitely what’s to expect from this trailer is simply Rockstar’s magic of a super engaging storyline mixed with awesome graphics and gameplay mode.

The storyline, whats revealed as of now, goes something like this.The former New York City detective, Max Payne,still haunted by the memories of his traumatic past, begins a new life working private security protecting a wealthy industrialist and his family in Sao Paulo, Brazil. When gangs target the family under his protection, Max is forced to fight to save his clients and clear his name, in a bid to, once and for all, rid himself of the demons that have tortured him for far too long.

From what Rockstar’s Sam Houser, it is their intention on starting a new chapter of Max Payne’s life with the game. He was quoted as stating "This is Max as we’ve never seen him before, a few years older, more world-weary and cynical than ever." The entire game seems to be set in São Paulo, Brazil, and is set 8 to 12 years after the events of the second game.

The posters for the game is really awesome and looks more like GTA style. Anyways when it comes to mind blowing graphics, gameplay and storyline, you can always count on Rockstar to deliver it with confidence

Max Payne 3 has surely taken its sweet time to hit the market but  finally I see a ray of hope of its release now.

Today, I will show you a way, via which you will be able to hide any folder from viewing from any other account other than the admin account. The steps are pretty simple and I have tried my best to explain them with a series of screenshots, still if you get stuck executing them at any moment of time, feel free to approach me through comment section below.

Steps to execute

1) Right click the folder you want to protect and click on ‘Properties’

2) Go to the ‘Security’ tab and click on ‘Edit’

3) Now in the ‘Edit’ options click on ‘Add’

4) On clicking ‘Add’ you will get options to enter the object names. If you are scared since you have no idea what that is, don’t be, since we don’t need to memorize it. Simply click on ‘Advanced’ tab

5) Click on ‘Find Now’ and Windows will find all the usernames/object names on the computer. Find out the ‘Guests’ (or other account from which you want to hide the folder contents) accounts and select the account.

select the Guest account and click on ‘OK’

6) last but most important step, Click on the ‘deny’ option for the ‘List folder contents’. this will ensure that the account does not have the access to see the folder contents

7) Well, you are done now, simply login to your computer as a Guest login. Navigate to the required folder and double click it. you should now get an error popup as shown below.   No external softwares. No batch code files. nothing…Done

Though VLC media player is considered as one of the best players since it’s able to play most of the files, however depending on it for every format is not smart, because though it might be able to play the file, it won’t play it at optimum quality. Moreover, personally, I don’t like the look and feel of VLC player and so I don’t prefer much to watch movies on it.

There is nothing better if you can somehow play each and every format in your very own reliable Windows Media Player. Well, you sure can…and that’s possible with the help of a little plug-in ‘KLite Codec Pack’. KLite is a free software package that has to be installed on your PC to help WMP play files like .mkv ,.rmvb ,.rm etc. Also if you download the ‘ultimate’ package you will realize that you have an option to install Media Player classic too

There are four variants of the K-Lite Codec Pack:

The basic variant contains everything you need to play all the common video file formats. Such as AVI, MKV, MP4, OGM, and FLV. This pack is for those who like a small no-nonsense pack.

The standard variant contains some additional features compared to the basic variant. It contains Media Player Classic, which is an excellent player for video files. It also has (better) support for playback of DVDs. This pack is recommended for the average user.

The full variant has many additional features. It supports playback of several (lossless) audio formats. It contains VFW/ACM codecs that can be used for encoding. It has playback support for a few legacy audio and video formats. This package is suitable for power users.

The mega variant has almost the same contents as the full variant, but additionally contains some extra DirectShow filters and VFW/ACM codecs.

Some of my personal favourite features include

1. Open a blank Notepad file

2. Write .LOG (in CAPS only) as the first line of the file, followed by an Enter. Save the File and close it.

3. Double-click the file to open it and notice that Notepad appends the Current Date and Time to the end of the file and places the cursor on the Line after.

4. Type your notes and then save and close the file.

5. Each time you open the file, Notepad repeats the process, appending the  Date and Time to the end of the file and placing the cursor below it.

This is a simulation of a log file. Amusingly I didn’t realize of this trick till now and currently am using it to take log notes of every feature am coding for my new website. It’s come most handy and useful and best, without any hassle of installing any external software for the same .

I have been very busy lately jumping between my job and writing articles and coding another website…finally i have been able to pull off a prototype of my new website. The demo of which can be seen on http://mashup.sunnydsouza.com

This particular blog started off in mid 2010. Till date it has recorded a visit stat of  13,381 inspite of my frequent irregularities in posting articles. Hopefully I would be better able to manage time in 2011(that’s one of my resolutions every year )
