Dream came true last Sunday!!

I had come to this spot for a few times yet lacked luck. Somehow this time I seemed to have been blessed. The tide ebbed and the bottom of the sea shore emerged -- exactly the same as I had expected it would be!! More than I had expected, the clouds and the sun were both perfect.

It was a most wonderful evening for me!! Of course, I had quite some crops!!!

A spot I have ceased to visit for quite a few years. Looking at the images captured here, I realize it is probably the most fascinating spot to shoot seascape.

Well, I really have to find time to go back there for a few more times to see if I am still blessed.

Away for a short while.

Here is shot of some weeds quite commonly seen around town in Tainan City. They do mesmerizingly gorgeous in golden sunlight at sunset. To me, it is especially enjoyably to be able capture something great around in daily-life environment.

I carry my gear with every day for I hate to miss anything worth shooting. Oh, my wife sometimes teases my for carrying such a bag on daily basis. :-))

We had dimsum for lunch today!! The same restaurant as usual in Shinkong Mitsukoshi Department store - great food and superb mood!! As you can see, the lighting is just perfect and it is great to sit in the warm golden sunlight for lunch!!

Crystal's yellow sweater looks so delicate and grace in the light!!

A black and white shot of Anping Harbor this time. I like the nostalgic mood that B&W images bring. I save my captures in bot RAW and B&W jpg while shooting at the present stage, especially on street shooting trips.

I do more street photography than landscapes in winter mainly because the weather is often terrible. Of course, the other reason is that I love walking on the streets and observing things and people around, which sharpens my photographic instinct and expand shooting genres.

當頭棒喝的一篇文章，希望台灣的老百姓有胸襟、修養的把它看完，然後理智地深切思考這個問題。

對於一個棒球當國球的國家來說，以少棒階段來說，僅在少數大都市的一二個小學有球隊，而這些球隊的球員還是從不同縣市招募來的。而這種現象到了國中、高中階段更嚴重，請問這樣子的運動可以當國球嗎？

我打過少棒，當時光台南市就超過二十隊，幾乎每個學校都有自己的球隊，人人以加入校隊為榮，但現在呢？幾乎原住民選手佔了大部份，因為弱勢的他們藉著打棒球可以在漢人社會中爭取到跟漢人平起平坐，甚至高於漢人的地位。漢人子弟呢？上大學唸書去了，偶而當當觀眾、球迷而已。

由於自己的切身經驗，我一向反對孩子參加校隊，因為只會被消費剝削罷了，為了打球荒廢學業，打球打到手肘、肩膀壞了，你畢業時學校只會頒給你一張體育獎狀，校長老師們並不會帶你去治療、幫你付醫藥費，他們也不會擔心一個連加減乘除、分數為何物都不知道的小孩進入國中後，如何面對課業競爭，如何在人生的路上繼續走下去。他們只會不斷的要你為學校、為地方、為國家爭光，可憐的小孩哪知道人生的路好遠，好長，好艱難，而只會打球是不夠的。

記者們如果有興趣的話可以調查一下，我們的各級球隊到底有沒有好好上課，他們的腦袋除了打球外，還裝了啥東西？

說到職棒，我們養得起的球隊的公司那麼多，如竹科、南科、中科一堆年收幾百億的公司，卻沒一家要跳出來。享受了政府補助、輔導、租稅優惠的種種待遇，養一隻球對變銖錙必較，小氣到家。我們的職棒球員待遇實在有低，有國際選手的水平，卻只有微薄的待遇，難怪頂尖的選手都到國外謀出路去。

政府呢，就是國小校長老師們的放大版，只會消費剝削球員，幹了一點小事便大肆宣揚，說政府多偉大，多照顧選手。滿嘴謊言。

對於一個棒球當國球的國家來說，台灣真的很畸形。今日台灣的棒球有這種成績，應該要好好感謝原住民們，因為他們天的樂觀天性、優於漢人的運動天份，台灣的棒球運動才得以延續到今，而且成績斐然，揚威國際。

對於一個棒球當國球的國家來說，台灣是不是需要徹底的自我反省了呢。

After days of doing nothing but eating, drinking and fooling around during the long CNY vacation, I finally decided to give it a try today.

Not because I was lazy or lacking enthusiasm, I was in fact terrified by the horrific traffic and crowds everywhere. I sure would not want to be caught up in some gridlock on the freeway. Also I am somewhat crowd phobic. I really hate to see people walking around on the shooting site.

Any today, the last day of the CNY vacation, I rolled southward bound as usual in some faint hope of coming across anything spectacular because the sky was faceless in Tainan when I set out and it got even worse on the way down south.

Yet as I have always believe in, Hengchuen Peninsula is magical. The closer I got to my destination, the more spectacular the sky turned. As you can see here, this is the first shot I took after arriving.

One more thing: I had the pleasure to witness the lowest tide level in the setting. I wonder if it is the so-called "spring low tide"? Anyway, how lucky I was!!!

安平騎馬場這時應該已經搬完家了，經過二十一年的歲月，政府一聲令下，幾天就得搬光，真不近人情。原因應該是為了財團開發做準備，好不現實呀！

無能的政府不知充分利用這有悠久歷史、充滿懷舊風味的舊馬場，做人文層面的開發利用，竟然就這樣把他趕走，真的是無能、膚淺、向財團靠攏到了極致。

不曉得將來財團開發時，那高聳濃密的木麻黃林會不會遭殃？真令人擔心。

The stable should have finished moving to the new location at this point.

After over 21 years in Tainan, the stable is forced to move and tear down everything that was built bit by bit over the long stretch of time, 21 years, just because the government demands so for the sake and convenience of the future development by some big business.

The inept government rejected the suggestion that the historical and nostalgic stable be embellished in order to be promoted and marketed on its humane and cultural basis. The government chose to just kick away the stable with only one intention in mind - to open the door to the big company. I am still immensely exasperated with its incompetence, shallowness and overt leaning toward the conglomerate even though I have the exact picture of what bureaucracy is.

This case once again proves my point - any place that is chosen and developed by the government is doomed to inevitable complete failure!!!
