]]> http://sunsetlodgeredlake.com/2012/04/lunch-spots-along-105/feed/ 0 22 days to Walleye opener! http://sunsetlodgeredlake.com/2012/04/22-days-to-walleye-opener/ http://sunsetlodgeredlake.com/2012/04/22-days-to-walleye-opener/#comments Thu, 26 Apr 2012 18:01:52 +0000 sunset lodge http://sunsetlodgeredlake.com/?p=763 Just a couple of notes…  Rene and I have both been busy getting things ready for opening.  The woodpeckers have done a job last summer so a number of poplars had to come down.  He has made some improvements to cabin 8 and will be installing ceiling fans in cabins 9 & 1.  Docks are put back together and in the process of getting the water system up and running (about 1/3 of the way there) and the motor for the minnow tank is away for repairs.  Jeremy has been raking. and raking….  I have been on a cleaning rampage – also stripped and refinished the table in cabin 1 and coffee table in cabin 2; numerous new draperies.   There is a seemingly endless list of little repairs but everything is coming along nicely.  The new licensing terminal arrived yesterday – had to build a new counter to accommodate the thing.  I’ll be calling in for the training session next week.  The staff and the MNR said to “have fun with it”.  Hopefully not as ominous as it sounds.

Can’t wait to see you!  Our first fishermen arrive in 15 days!

Had a good rain yesterday which washed everything down and took the following photo. Watching the fog roll over the ice is a great way to enjoy a coffee…  note – water at the shoreline.  Ice is getting punky – supposed to get more rain this weekend.
