Can they even see light or is it just a trick of the eye, hoping to see what it wants, what isn't there? The smell is unbearable and will cling to them long after they have made it out. If. If they make it out. Why do they get themselves in these situations? It seemed like a good idea, exploring a new and exciting place. Altair is inhabited and wonderful this time of year. The air is so close in this place. It feels like the muck is sucking out all the ideas and thoughts out of their minds. One lingers, one just won't go away: 1987, SciFi Horror movie, "The Hidden" starring Michael Nouri and Kyle MacLachlan. The movie just glues to one's consciousness long after initial contact. I can't tell you how many times I wrestled that alligator. It won't go down. I tried and tried it just like a machine. It just keeps showing up in my kitchen wearing my hat and eating my peanut butter. I tell it to leave but it won't. It eats it over the sink which is pretty polite for a reptile but it leaves muddy foot prints everywhere. I feel bad because its mother just died and it says it saw a suitcase that looked just like its mother but I dunno. It is a messed up thing either way. I feel bad but I my PB&J sandwiches just haven't been the same. In 1988 Godfrey Ho barely made a movie with a robot and vampire and thirty years later the Super Movie Ball crew have it experienced on to them. Listen to the horrifying sounds of the outcome.

It eats it over the sink which is pretty polite for a reptile but it leaves muddy foot prints everywhere. I feel bad because its mother just died and it says it saw a suitcase that looked just like its mother but I dunno. It is a messed up thing either way. I feel bad but I my PB&J sandwiches just haven't been the same. In 1988 Godfrey Ho barely made a movie with a robot and vampire and thirty years later the Super Movie Ball crew have it experienced on to them. Listen to the horrifying sounds of the outcome.

 The journey pauses for the night about eight miles from the Lost River. A 2014 film by written, produced, and directed by Ryan Gosling, in his feature directorial debut. In the morning the crew awakens to find that the boat is enveloped by a thick white fog. The boat captained by Peter, an avid movie lover, searches for more cinematic riches than he can handle. From the riverbank they hear a very loud cry, followed by a discordant clamor. A few hours later, as safe navigation becomes increasingly difficult, the steamboat is attacked with a barrage of small arrows from the forest. The helmsman is impaled by a spear and falls at Peter's feet. Peter sounds the steam whistle repeatedly, frightening the attackers and causing the shower of arrows to cease. Peter and a boglin watch the helmsman die. Will Peter make it out of this dark place alive?

Some humans have survived, and even fewer still, have mutated and adapted to the ocean by developing gills. Drifters sail across the waters of the world on their man-made ships, trading for supplies and salvaging what is left of civilization, communities of survivors live in artificial island towns and a force of evil pirates, the Humorless, travel across the sea in search of a mythical island called DarKomedy. Arriving at a town, a mysterious drifter without a name called The Mack is sentenced to death when the community discovers he is a mutant. When the town is attacked by the Humorless, a man named Peter and his friend Shawn bribe The Mack to take them to DarKomedy, believing The Mack has been there. As they escape from the hostile town Peter and Shawn share a legend of "The Cable Guy" from the year nineteen hundred and ninety six. An ancient form of entertain known as a motion picture brought forth by the one they call Ben Stiller. A loner by nature, The Mack reluctantly befriends Peter and his companion Shawn after hearing their amusing tale.  We need a Cherry 3000 movie, like yesterday. 

 Open road, nothing for miles and miles. Only sand and earth and sun and heat. Many have travelled down this road and gone missing at the corner of vacant and vast. Peter, man traveling from nowhere to nowhere sees only sun scorched bones, which he hopes are only from desert dwelling animals. Too hot to think, too hot to speak, too hot to move but he does and as quickly has he can before he becomes an unidentifiable set of bones. He hears something from behind him down the road, making a low rumbling noise. With intense light from the sun and the heat waving off the road he can't quite make out what the object is. It's definitely an object it's too small to be a vehicle. He stops and covers his brow with his hands to block the sun to see what this thing is. It's a tire! Moving rapidly down the center of the road without wavering or wobbling, it like it is driven. But how? As it gets closer it stops on a dime right in front of him. Peter hesitantly moves closer to the tire, which is much larger than it first appeared. Without warning a small toad-like head pops out and shouts "Hello traveller! Where about are ya' headed?". Peter, thinking the heat has finally gotten to him, doesn't respond. The head explains that he is a tire troll named Mack and can get anyone, anywhere, with much haste. The tire troll grins and oozes out the words "For a price." Before Peter can part his chapped lips a cloud floats down to close to the one-way conversation. The cloud contains a little man with a bowl of some sort of pasta. "Don't believe him." the little cloud man says, "He has crazy takes." Peter, now knowing for sure that he HAS gone insane, just leans into the insanity and says "Jake, what are you doing inside a cloud, how are you inside a cl-why are you eating macaroni?". Jake interrupts, "That is not important, what is important is this film from 1987 called "Cherry 2000" it is weirder than this current scenario". Just then a Super Movie Ball goes bounceing down the road past the trio as they all laugh and eat corn chips.

 Having nowhere to go and nothing to see Peter decides to a bus to place no one has been before in hopes of uncovering a treasure. Boarding the bus seems easy enough and it is and he does. Choosing a sit can be a chore but one seat is just right for looking out the vehicle's bay window and being far enough away from the other riders. The stale smell of generic disinfectant is just enough not to be too overpowering but noticeably present, like smell itself is a rider of the bus, quiet and content. He can feel how old the bus is from it's mechanical rumbles and creaks. The noises could put him to sleep if they were more rhythmic and less grading. The scenery lumbering by is nothing special and the chit-chat he has amongst one of the riders is somehow both better and worse. Perhaps 1991's "The Dark Backward" by Adam Rifkin will light a beacon to guide our movie adventurer to greener pastures? The bus makes a stop. No one gets on or off. The driver continues the route. One the riders opens a bag of rice cakes and takes a small bite.

 Parched winds sculpt a vast desert wasteland that is driven to even harsher limits by the wild denizens that claim the savage terrain. Almost calming in a way, the reddish-blue sands are spread out as far as the eye can reach. Slowing his progress the specks of sand are gradually filling our movie mainstay's boots to the brim. Bearing the obviously spurious moniker of Mack, the aforementioned movie mainstay proceeds as he hunts a man. If only it were just a man besides which he is a wizard. Using the his trusty snare, Mack corners one of the wild denizens and forces an indispensable clue from his cracked lips... "We'd duun hear'd him call'em Jacob, NitPick-Mancer 'n' lord ov dem Critters. Rove eastward 'n' him will'd seeks yur mortal being." Mack now treads carefully for much intrigue and bizarre conduct surround this high level NitPick-Mancer. Much like the setting of the sun this meeting between these two is inevitable... Employing the knowledge from the "Ready Player One" tome is Mack's only hope of overwhelming Jacob's quibbling darts about the cinematic feature. A daring exploit is just within your grasp listeners, the unfaltering stream of audio is expecting you...

 In deep, dark caverns our subterranean pair dwell in a familiar realm known as the 1980s. Subsisting on a steady diet of B-grade adventure films and cheesie SciFi flicks this consumption has created stagnation making the cinematic air grow thick. Mack, the loud one, makes no bones about how he feels concerning the surface-world and all its obvious dangers. While Peter, the quiet one, feels there is nothing to fear of surface-world but little good can come from existing amongst its inhabitants. The surface-world, or the new millennium as it is known by most people, is home to all sorts of people but our center of interest hones in on one Riley Bowman, a simple podcaster. A creative and compassionate being, Riley seeks out new destinations and cultures to expand his own personal experiences and have favorable impact with those he comes into contact with. Upon discovery of Mack and Peter, excitement hits Riley, thinking he found a new species of mole people. Experimental interaction was called for and Riley shares a piece of art that might move the subterranean pair to positive action. Much like boiling fat being rendered our Super Movie Ball crew ascend to the surface-world of the 21st century. Illumination overwhelms our subterranean pair in the form of "Sunshine" from 2007 by director Danny Boyle. A science fiction thriller that has the characters attempting to jump start the sun which is more of thinking-man's disaster movie than it is a popcorn fluff flick. Later the Agora defined the open-air, often tented, marketplace of a city where merchants had their shops and where craftsmen made and sold their wares. It was in the Agora of Athens that the great philosopher Socrates questioned the market-goers on their understanding of the meaning of life, attracting a crowd of Athenian youth who enjoyed seeing the more pretentious of their elders made fools of. In this marketplace the young poet Aristocles son of Ariston heard Socrates speaking, went and burned all his works, and became the philosopher known as Plato. Today we have Micro Movie Ball. Peter and Mack, our somewhat young movie enthusiasts, ponder the reason why they keep going back to the movie well of the 80s.  In deep space, the crew of the commercial starship FantasyAnime is awakened from their cryo-sleep capsules halfway through their journey home to investigate a distress call from an anime vessel. The terror begins when the crew encounters a nest of eggs inside the anime ship. An organism from inside an egg leaps out and attaches itself to one of the crew causing him to fall into a coma. The starship crash lands in remote Ohio, disturbing a group of American podcasters at their base camp known to many as Super Movie Ball. The podcasters, Peter and Mack, take in the anime organism later identified as the 1987 Japanese animated film(anime) known as Lily C.A.T.. The anime, it brutally attacks both human beings in the camp and they discover that the beast can assume the shape of its victims. A resourceful analyzer Peter and camp film doctor Mack lead the camp crew in viewing a charming 80s anime that has a very familiar setting but in its very short runtime proves it has some interesting surprises in store.  Evading the dreaded negative review, our galactic movie lovers led by Mack CONSTANT-TALKER have established a new secret tactic discovered on an unnamed remote ice world. Custodian of the secret tactic, The Icebreaker, the cinema geeks start the long journey home. 

 During the voyage the film nerds managed to get themselves stuck in an asteroid field filled with 80s movie clones of a popular SciFi series. Stumbling upon a less hostile one, "Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone", they set up camp in their bunk beds and feast their eyeballs and earholes on a charming space escapade with likable heroes, great sets, awesome vehicles and wonderfully evil baddies. 

 Peter Wauntztugo-SOLO, obsessed with trolling young CONSTANT-TALKER, has used faithful SPEW(Spoiler Protection Edict Widget) to dispatch thousands of interwebular bots into the far reaches of space....in hopes that they stop talking about Molly Ringwald and just get back to discussing the movie!! 

 Going to be to be easy for our guys to bring balance to the episode it is not. Yes, hmmm. May the Movie Ball be with them...and Super, I guess. And may you all pull away from TLJ spoilers, just like pulling out of beggar's canyon.
