		<title>How Do I Get 10k Steps a Day: WFH Edition</title>

<p>It feels like everyone on social media is effortlessly hitting 20-30k steps a day—how do they do it?! I swear, some people must be zooming around all day, logging steps without even thinking about it. Meanwhile, I’m over here struggling to prioritize my steps every single day. But hey, I can’t help but love how trendy walking has become these days. It&#8217;s low impact, low stress, and let’s be real—you don’t even need to change your bra for it.</p>



<p>One of the ways I manage to get my steps in is by hopping on my <a href="https://amzn.to/4b9QALm" data-type="link" data-id="https://amzn.to/4b9QALm">treadmill</a> at home for short walks. When the weather’s nice, walking outdoors is a breeze, and I can easily knock out a 2-4 mile walk with no problem. But let&#8217;s be real—when I’m working from home, I’m not always in the mood to walk that far in one go.</p>



<p>So, after thinking about it for a while, I decided it was time to step up my game and change my work setup to hit 10k steps a day.</p>



<p>Here’s what’s been working for me so far- </p>

<p>When I first wake up, I dive straight into my work emails while walking on my <a href="https://amzn.to/4gNucZy" data-type="link" data-id="https://amzn.to/4gNucZy">treadmill desk</a>. I keep the pace at either 2 or 3 mph, and before I even realize it, I&#8217;ve already knocked out 2k steps by 9am! During lunchtime meetings, I make the most of the time by walking while tuning into important seminars. However, when I&#8217;m speaking during a meeting, I skip the <a href="https://amzn.to/4b9QALm" data-type="link" data-id="https://amzn.to/4b9QALm">treadmill</a>—I can’t be huffing and puffing while talking! My goal is to hit 5k steps by noon, and I know I can easily reach 10k by the end of the day. The best part is, when I’m focused on something, I don’t even notice that I’m walking. In fact, I’m getting this blog post done right now&#8230; just walking away!</p>



<p>Another bonus? The <a href="https://amzn.to/4gNucZy" data-type="link" data-id="https://amzn.to/4gNucZy">treadmill desk</a> is super adjustable and easy to remove, so if someone else needs the space or doesn’t want to use the desk, it’s no problem.</p>



<p>So where will you find me this winter? Either walking or running on the <a href="https://amzn.to/4b9QALm" data-type="link" data-id="https://amzn.to/4b9QALm">treadmill</a>. </p>

<p>This treadmill was a total panic purchase in 2020 and I am so glad I am still using it in 2025. I think this <a href="https://amzn.to/3CVtr2Q" data-type="link" data-id="https://amzn.to/3CVtr2Q">lubricant</a> is helping.</p>

<p>Hi! I am back!</p>



<p>It’s been a while, hasn’t it? In fact, I haven’t written a blog post since 2018—time really does fly! But after some life changes, personal growth, and a whole lot of learning, I’m back, and I couldn’t be more excited to reconnect with this space.</p>



<p>A lot has happened since I last posted here, and I thought it was time to share an update on where I’ve been and what I’ve learned along the way.</p>

<p>In 2018, I got married to my amazing husband, Aman, and life shifted in the most wonderful ways. Marriage has been full of growth, love, and communication—things I didn’t always know I needed but absolutely do now.</p>

<p>Then, in 2021, our world changed again when we welcomed our son into the world. Motherhood has been the most rewarding and humbling experience of my life. It’s hard to believe how much a little one can teach you about patience, resilience, and unconditional love. I should have read some parenting books. But honestly everything I need to know I can find on Instagram and TikTok. My son has brought so much joy and purpose into my life, and I’m constantly learning new things about both him and myself.</p>



<p>Alongside all the personal changes, I’ve also been focused on growing my career in clinical research. I’ve been fortunate to work in an exciting field that helps contribute to the advancement of public health, and it’s been incredibly fulfilling to be part of a team making a difference.</p>



<p>Balancing career and family has been a challenge, but it’s also been rewarding. I&#8217;ve learned to embrace the juggle, and I&#8217;m excited to share more about how I manage it all (spoiler alert: we are all faking it).</p>



<p>Over the past five years, I’ve had quite the journey with my health and fitness. I’ve lost and gained and lost 40 pounds—and through it all, I’ve learned so much about my body and what it really needs. I’ve learned that fitness is about more than just a number on the scale—it’s about feeling good, building strength, and being kind to yourself.</p>
