In this class he will guide you through his blend of vegan pan-Asian cuisine.This is the kind of vegan food that will turn on even strict carnivores. On your menu: Kimchi Fried Dumplings with Fiery Miso Dipping Sauce; Red Bean Scallion Pancakes with Thai Basil Tofu, Watercress, Fried Kefir Lime Leaves and Tamarind Plum Reduction -Smoked Chili Seitan Eggrolls with Bean Sprouts, Mint, and Habanero Apricot Duck Sauce; and Sesame Bean Paste Bao Buns. Over the last 12 years, Adam Sobel has performed virtually every role in the kitchen--from prep cook to private chef. Since 2010, he has been the chef/owner of The Cinnamon Snail, an award-winning food truck serving animal-friendly street food in the Metropolitan area. The rambling restaurant received top honors from PETA, which rated The Cinnamon Snail "#1 Vegetarian Street Food in America." In addition to his truck, Adam regularly teaches vegan cooking workshops at the New Jersey-based Holistic Healing and at Dean's Natural Food Market in Central New Jersey. He also offers cooking classes and lectures on a plant-based diet at yoga schools throughout New York.

The Vegan workshop will do the same, of course with a strictly vegan set of ingredients. However, we will also address challenges particular to building a Vegan pantry and plate, not so much the nutritional challenges, but the strategic and sensory ones–how to get away from stir frys, how to re-format what we think of as a “meal,” how to fill our bellies without an over-reliance on nuts, “fake” meat, and potatoes. Please note: While we can accommodate most eating preferences for every workshop lunch, this class is not gluten or nut free.
